King was acquired to provide a physical presence for the team after Donald Brashear's departure. Since his services were rarely used a season ago, he was recently released, but cleared waivers and will be back in Washington when the season starts. With an injury-plagued season in 2010-11, he only played 16 games, and it is uncertain if the team will use a roster spot on him. King may end up in AHL Hershey to start the year. (Updated 8/16/11)
