Fantasy Analysis
Steve Bernier has played seven games for New Jersey after spending most of the season in the AHL. Odds are Bernier will not relive the good seasons he had with San Jose and likely will be a depth forward for the Devils while with the big club. The veteran has three points in seven games. 02/11/2012 15:59 Panthers top Devils for rare road win
Scott Clemmensen stopped 27 shots against his former team and the Florida Panthers beat the New Jersey Devils 3-1 on Saturday.
02/04/2012 16:09 Devils start fast, hold on vs. Flyers
Kurtis Foster scored a pair of power-play goals, and the New Jersey Devils held on for a 6-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday afternoon.
Bernier totaled five goals and 10 assists in 68 games played for the Panthers this past season and is currently a free agent looking for work. Bernier has seen his point totals decline in each of the last two seasons after posting three straight 30-point seasons. The former first-round pick is still only 26 years old and has the size and skill set to be a top-nine forward in the NHL. That being said, Bernier has value as a deep sleeper pick, assuming he can finally put it all together. (Updated 8/16/11)
