Fantasy Analysis
Milan Michalek notched a goal and an assist during Ottawa's five-game series victory over Montreal, which followed up a 14-point, injury-plagued regular season. Since his knee injury has lingered throughout the 2013 campaign, a day of rest is preferable for his ultimate output. (Updated 5/12/13).

05/13/2013 15:48 Eastern Conference Preview: (1) Pittsburgh vs. (7) Ottawa
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Ottawa Senators will meet in the playoffs for the fourth time since 2006. The Penguins are the favorites but must play better than they did in Round 1.
Milan Michalek had a fantastic year last season, potting a career-high 35 goals and adding 25 assists in 77 games, his best season since being jettisoned from San Jose. He remained almost completely free of injuries for the first time in years as he only missed five games due to a concussion mid-season. Michalek will likely line up on the left side of Jason Spezza once again and play on the first power play unit with all-world blueliner Erik Karlsson. The veteran winger has finally developed some chemistry with Spezza after years of bouncing around between the first and second lines in Ottawa. If he remains healthy--and thatÂ’s always a concern with Michalek--he should be able to crack at least 30 goals again with around 25-30 assists. While he's in a good situation, don't overpay for last season's numbers. (Updated 8/14/12)
