Fantasy Analysis
Jiri Hudler ended up being a deal for $4 million this season, as he had 10 goals and 17 assists in 42 games. The Flames will look to Hudler to be a veteran presence in the locker room as they rebuild in the coming years, as they have him locked up for three more seasons. (Updated 4/27/13).
04/26/2013 23:44 Kane, league-leading Blackhawks cruise past Flames
Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews scored 3:28 apart in the first period, and the NHL-leading Chicago Blackhawks beat the Calgary Flames 3-1 on Friday night.
04/21/2013 20:42 Flames put Minnesota in tough position for playoffs
Joey MacDonald made 34 saves, Mark Cundari scored a goal in his first NHL game and the Calgary Flames beat Minnesota 4-1 on Sunday night to hand the Wild a potentially harmful home loss in their push for the playoffs.
Jiri Hudler had carved a niche as a second to third-line winger in Detroit since 2006-07, and had one of his most prolific seasons in 2011-12 with 25 goals and 25 assists in 81 games. He may not have quite the star power around him in Calgary, but will likely book-end the second line with Curtis Glencross, who had similar numbers to Hudler last season. If Calgary can find a decent center to put in between the two, Hudler has the chance to put up another 50-60 points this season. (Updated 8/14/12)
