Fehr scores against Pittsburgh: Capitals RW Eric Fehr scored a goal during Sunday's game against the Penguins. Fehr poked in his own rebound to cut the deficit to two before Alex Ovechkin took over with a pair of goals in the third. It was Fehr's 15th goal and first score in eight games.

Fehr has six goals and 10 points in 18 games since the calendar year hit 2010. He has played pretty solid two-way hockey as he sets career highs across the board. Still, Fehr is a low-end Fantasy start because he is not a regular multi-point threat.

| Capitals RW Eric Fehr was able to play a full campaign in the NHL for the first time in 2008-09, playing in 61 games. He recorded 12 goals and 13 assists for a total of 25 points, finishing with a plus-eight rating. Those aren’t eye-popping numbers in terms of Fantasy and Fehr has failed to live up to the expectations that come along with being a first round pick in the 2003 draft. He was a standout scorer in junior hockey and could eventually break out for some big numbers, but he should thought as just a low-end option on Draft Day. (Updated 8/18/09) |
