Fantasy Analysis
Coach Dave Tippett won't confirm where Marc-Antoine Pouliot will play yet, but the Coyotes are desperate for some offensive shake-ups so this may not be a bad thing. (Updated 05/17/2012).
05/23/2012 00:48 Penner's OT goal eliminates Coyotes, sends Kings to Stanley Cup Final
Dustin Penner scored 17:42 into overtime and the Los Angeles Kings are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals for the second time as a franchise after beating the Phoenix Coyotes with a 4-3 victory in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals Tuesday night.
Pouliot comes to the desert after playing 69 games with the Lightning's AHL affiliate, where the center notched above a point-per-game pace (25 G, 47 A) in 2010-11. While the Coyotes have the option of sending him to their own AHL squad, the team's need for the emergence of strong center play could mean that Pouilot sticks on the big club's roster for much of the season. Keep an eye on him; if he's able to come even remotely close to his 72-point mark, he'll be a viable fantasy option in the desert. (Updated 8/16/11)
