Defenseman Mike Green's power-play goal with 5:48 left in regulation Saturday lifted the Washington Capitals to a 3-2 victory over the top-seeded New York Rangers, tying their Eastern Conference semifinal series at two games apiece.
Wideman was a huge part of the Caps' success going into the playoffs last season, but when he went down with a leg injury in the playoffs the team missed him. Between Florida and D.C., the 28-year-old defenseman put up 40 points last season. He moves the puck well and will be a huge part to the back end in Washington. (Updated 10/4/11)
