Zidlicky has managed 10 points in two straight months. He has 20 points (18 assists) in his last 29 games. Zidlicky remains a great passing presence from the blue line and high-end Fantasy option.

| The Wild picked up Marek Zidlicky in a summer 2008 trade with the Predators. Minnesota was looking to add some offensive punch to their blue line in a defensive system under Jacques Lemaire. Zidlicky delivered the goods for Minnesota and he proved to be very valuable as defenseman Brent Burns had a down season. Zidlicky established a team record for assists by a defenseman with 30 in 76 games. He finished with 42 points, which were one off the record set by Burns in 2007-08. The Czech blueliner also set a team record with 10 power-play scores, and was the first Wild defensemen with a pair of multi power-play goal games and pair of three-point games in a single season. If Zidlicky -- who has failed to record 40 or more points in just one of his first five seasons -- did all that for Lemaire, we can wait to see what he does for coach Todd Richards, who intends to install an offensive system in 2009-10.
