Fantasy Analysis
Ryan Whitney has only three goals and 16 points to go along with a minus-18 rating. Combine that with the fact that he has only played 42 games so far, and you pretty much have a season to forget for Whitney. (Updated 03/21/2012).
04/01/2012 22:46 Hartikainen propels Oilers past Ducks
Teemu Hartikainen gave Edmonton an early lead with his first two goals of the season, Devan Dubnyk made 32 saves and the Oilers beat Anaheim 2-1 on Sunday night in the Ducks' final home game of the season.
Whitney was having a solid season with Edmonton last year before suffering yet another ankle injury that ended his 2010-11 campaign after only 35 games. Whitney has always possessed offensive ability, but staying healthy seems to be a problem as he has missed approximately half the season two of the past three years. But as long as he's out on the ice, he will anchor the Oilers' top defensive unit and put up solid offensive statistics. (Updated 10/4/11)
