Holt optioned to Peoria (AHL)
(3/4/09) The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the Blues recalled goalie Ben Bishop from Peoria of the AHL Wednesday and sent Chris Holt back to the minor league club.
Holt makes relief appearance
(2/18/09) Blues G Chris Holt came on in relief of Chris Mason in goal for St. Louis after two periods in a 4-3 loss to the Blue Jackets on Wednesday. He faced two shots and stopped them both.
Blues call on Holt for backup duties
(2/6/09) The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Blues goalie Manny Legace was placed on waivers Friday as the team recalled Chris Holt from Peoria of the AHL. Holt will serve as Chris Mason's backup. If Legace is not claimed by another team by Monday, he will be sent to Peoria. "It's extremely tough," Legace said. "You play your heart out for a team, and the minute you hit a little bit of a rough patch, they dump on you. It was very hard to hear." Legace is 13-9-2 this season with a 3.18 GAA and an .885 save-percentage. Blues President John Davidson defended the Blues' actions. "Manny has his own opinions, I'm not going to speak to Manny's opinions. We provided Manny an opportunity to revive his career with the St. Louis Blues... This is about performance, that's what it's about. If Manny had a better season stopping the puck, he wouldn't be going to Peoria -- if he clears waivers -– to get back to stopping the puck there."
Holt added to Blues roster
(10/31/08) The Blues recalled goalie Chris Holt from Peoria of the AHL Friday and sent goalie Marek Schwarz down to the farm team.
G Holt sent to the minors
(9/19/07) The New York Rangers assigned Joe Barnes, Alex Bourret, Brodie Dupont, Mitch Fritz, Bruce Graham, Chris Holt, Greg Moore, Jake Taylor and Matt Zaba to Hartford of the AHL on Wednesday.
