Fantasy Analysis
Andrej Sekera isn't a big scorer with just 13 points on the season, but his all-around play had been strong before the illness and the Sabres, trying to sneak a final playoff spot, will welcome his return at a time when fellow blueliner Tyler Myers is serving a suspension. (Updated 03/17/2012).
03/31/2012 21:54 Maple Leafs stop team-record 11-game home losing streak
Joey Crabb had a goal and an assist, Ben Scrivens made 29 saves and the Toronto Maple Leafs ended a team-record 11-game home losing streak with a 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.
03/23/2012 21:49 Sabres get big win over Rangers
Travis Turnbull scored his first NHL goal, with some help from the Rangers, and the Buffalo Sabres earned another big win in their playoff quest by beating New York 4-1 on Friday night.
Sekera has a very solid 2010-11 season for the Sabres, finishing at plus-11 while adding three goals and 26 assists in 76 games. The new-look defense heading into 2011-12 raises questions as to Sekera's role on the team, especially on the power play. He'll likely still see time with the man advantage, just not as much as he had before, which should negatively impact those 26 assists. (Updated 10/4/11)
