Fantasy Analysis
Wojtek Wolski typically saw a surge in production following a mid-season trade, but has gone silent having failed to register a point over his previous five games. The combination of his post-trade prowess and success against the Hurricanes makes Wolski an attractive option for owners looking to round out their lineups. (Updated 04/07/2012).
04/14/2012 21:06 Sens captain Daniel Alfredsson hit high by Carl Hagelin, leaves game
With venerable Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson playing the puck in the corner boards, Hagelin came flying in to lay a check on Alfie, but he came in high. As has become part of our hockey vocabulary this season, the principal point of contact appeared to be the head.
04/01/2012 18:55 Hudler lifts Wings to SO win vs. Panthers
Jiri Hudler scored with 14:30 remaining in the third period and again in a shootout to help the Detroit Red Wings beat the Florida Panthers 2-1 on Sunday.
Any player who's with his third team through his first five years raises some red flags. Wolski's effort on a night-in, night-out basis has been called into question. And while his arrival in New York seems to have helped the consistency of his efforts, he must still prove it's not just temporary. Wolski should be given first dibs at the top line with Brad Richards and Marian Gaborik, in training camp. He is worth a mid-to-late round draft pick in most fantasy formats. (Updated 10/4/11)
