We'll see if the Blues make a move to add a forward from AHL Peoria in time for Tuesday's game at Nashville, or maybe McDonald will return in time. Kris Russell finished with one shot on goal and one hit in 5:11 of ice time. (Updated 4/8/13).
The first move newly hired head coach Ken Hitchcock made was to trade for Kris Russell, with whom he was familiar from his days with the Blue Jackets. Russell didn't disappoint, showing off his skating and ability to rush the puck while not being a liability on the defensive end. He'll be part of the six defensemen Hitchcock uses most nights.
