02/16/2012 01:14 Connolly, Maple Leafs edge Oilers in OT
Tim Connolly's overtime goal gave Toronto a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night and snapped the Maple Leafs' four-game losing streak.
02/06/2012 09:31 Blue Line Buzz: Gagner too good to be true
Edmonton's Sam Gagner had a torrid Week 17 in Fantasy Hockey, but Dan Pennucci says it's simply an unsustainable pace for the talented but inconsistent Oiler in this week's Blue Line Buzz.
02/04/2012 22:23 Reimer, Maple Leafs blank Senators
James Reimer posted his second straight shutout, and Phil Kessel and Tyler Bozak each had three points to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 5-0 rout of the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night.
Franson is either a future star on the blue line or the next Andy Delmore. We know that comp hurts but it had to be said. As much as we love his smooth passing and nasty slapper, Franson often gets himself out-smarted and out-positioned in the defensive zone by speedy, skilled forwards. Hence the Delmore chirp. Still, theres a whole lot of stud in this guy if the Leafs can pair him with a responsible veteran who can teach him how to compensate for a few of those shortcomings. Thats what will ultimately help him eliminate those Delmore comps. And help him hit the 50-point plateau in the next three years. (Updated 10/4/11)
