Fantasy Analysis
With Chris Higgins back from a hand injury, Mark Mancari's services were no longer needed. He'll be one of the Canucks first options if forward depth is needed later this season. (Updated 01/03/2012).
03/19/2011 21:47 Sabres cut way through Thrashers for eight goals
Nathan Gerbe and Tyler Ennis scored 1:50 apart in the second period and the Buffalo Sabres opened ground in the tight Eastern Conference playoff race with an 8-2 rout of the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday.
After splitting time between the NHL and AHL each of the past three seasons, Mancari was rewarded with a one-way contract from the Canucks this offseason. The 26-year-old winger was stellar while playing for Portland of the AHL last season, finishing with 64 points (32 G, 32 A) in 56 games. Mancari could be worth a late-round flier in deep leagues if he nabs a spot on the CanucksÂ’ third line.
