Fantasy Analysis
Lee Stempniak missed much of those two months with injury but finally seems healthy again. He now has 13 goals and 12 assists in 54 games this season and has provided some solid third-line scoring. (Updated 03/23/2012).
03/22/2012 23:26 Wild 3, Flames 2 (SO)
Devin Setoguchi scored in the fourth round of a shootout in the Minnesota Wild's 3-2 comeback victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night.
03/18/2012 23:19 Atkinson scores SO winner for Jackets
Cam Atkinson scored the shootout winner and Steve Mason made 28 saves after coming in for an injured Curtis Sanford as the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Calgary Flames 2-1 on Sunday night.
Through 82 games in 2010-11, Stempniak tallied 19 goals and 19 assists to go along with a plus-4 rating and 19 PIMs. The problem here is the winger's lack of consistency; his scoring came in bunches and the droughts between finding the back of the net sometimes stretched for weeks. When healthy, Stempniak doesn't often struggle to turn in a 30-point season, but his unreliability makes him a very dangerous fantasy play. (Updated 10/4/11)
