Fantasy Analysis
Dustin Penner had two goals in the series, but his goal with less than a second remaining in the second period Friday will be one of the most memorable of his career. A laser of a slap shot from near the blue line took a slight deflection and bounced in off the post past Brian Elliott, giving the Kings all the goals they'd need to advance. Penner can be a force on the ice when he chooses, but the Kings will need him to assert himself more in the second round, where they will face either San Jose or Chicago. (Updated 5/11/13).

Marian Hossa scored the tiebreaking goal early in the third period, and the Chicago Blackhawks moved to the brink of the Stanley Cup finals with a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals.
06/02/2013 22:54 Blackhawks make quick work of Quick, go up 2-0 on Kings
Bryan Bickell and Michal Handzus scored on consecutive shots in the second period, and the Chicago Blackhawks chased goalie Jonathan Quick on their way to a 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday night in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals.
Dustin Penner was a disaster for much of the season -- he had just 17 points in 65 games-- before catching fire in the playoffs, tallying 11 points in 20 games on route to the Cup. The Kings decided to bring him back for another season and he'll get a chance to earn a spot among the top-six group of forwards. However, his breakout season of 2009-10 is drifting further and further into the rearview mirror. (Updated 8/14/12)
