News:Trevor Lewis posted two assists Saturday as the Kings topped the Sharks, 5-2. After starting the season with 13 straight scoreless games, he's posted four goals and six assists in his last 14 starts.
Analysis: Considering the glacial start, he's putting up some impressive numbers in comparison with his career marks. He'll set career bests in goals (in fact, he's done that already), assists, and points at his current pace, despite the shortened schedule. He's still a long way from being an elite scorer, but he could be a productive roster fill-in next season, when he'll turn 27.
News:Trevor Lewis ran his point streak to three games with a goal Saturday.
Analysis:Trevor Lewis didn't register a point in his first 13 games but now has eight points (four goals, four assists) in his last 10 games.
News:Trevor Lewis finally notched his first two points of the year, a pair of assists accompanied by a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's win over Edmonton.
Analysis:Trevor Lewis hadn't found his way onto the scoresheet since Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals last year, when he scored two goals in the clinching win. A good sign, perhaps, for the Kings, who have struggled early on this year.
News:Trevor Lewis scored twice in Monday's Stanley Cup winning victory over New Jersey, including a late empty-netter.
Analysis:Trevor Lewis potted home a vital third goal toward the end of the Kings' five-minute power play stemming from a Steve Bernier hit on the Kings' Rob Scuderi. Lewis is a grinding forward that gave the team a huge boost when they needed it, however, don't expect too many two-goal games.
News: Lewis and the Kings have agreed to a two-year deal worth $1.45 million.
Analysis: Lewis, who had 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) last year, was a restricted free agent. He'll provide the Kings with a versatile option on the penalty kill but doesn't offer much fantasy upside.
News: Lewis is expected to center the team's top line with the suspension to Jarret Stoll.
Analysis: Lewis will get to ride shotgun alongside Justin Williams, who recorded two points in Game 1 of the series.
News: Lewis picked up two assists in Saturday's shootout win over the Bruins.
Analysis: The kid has talent; he just hasn't had opportunity. He should be monitored in deep keeper formats but nothing more. At least right now.
News: Kings center prospect Trevor Lewis has totaled two goals and two assists in nine January games for Manchester of the AHL. He has 10 goals and 18 assists in 38 games on the season.
Analysis: Lewis had one goal and two assists in six games with the Kings earlier this season. The 2006 first-round pick was also seeing top-line before being sent down in December. Lewis is a developing prospect, but still remains just a long-term keeper.
News: The Kings have assigned C Trevor Lewis to Manchester (AHL).
Analysis: Lewis was seeing some top-line time earlier in December, but three points in six games wasn't enough to keep him in the NHL. The 21-year-old has no Fantasy value at this time.
News: The L.A. Daily News reports that Kings RW Teddy Purcell has been taken off the top line in Los Angeles. He played fourth-line minutes and sat out the third period of Saturday's loss to Detroit, while call-up Trevor Lewis took his spot on the top line.
Analysis: Purcell is clearly a talented youngster, but he'll have to get used to the ups and down of an NHL season if he wants to develop into a star. Bench/release him in all seasonal formats for now, but be sure to keep an eye on his progress. Lewis has minimal Fantasy value at this time.
News: Kings C Trevor Lewis, called up on Thursday, scored his first NHL goal in Saturday's loss to the Red Wings.
Analysis: Lewis had 12 goals and 16 assists in 76 games last season in the AHL and this season has eight goals and 11 assists in 28 games. He has no Fantasy value at this time.
News: The Kings have called up C Trevor Lewis from Manchester of the AHL.
Analysis: Lewis had 12 goals and 16 assists in 76 games last season in the AHL and this season has eight goals and 11 assists in 28 games. He has no Fantasy value at this time.
News: The Los Angeles Kings assigned Marc-Andre Cliche, Trevor Lewis, Matt Moulson, Scott Parse, Joe Piskula and Teddy Purcell to Manchester of the AHL on Wednesday.
Analysis: Moulson is the most impressive of the six players, but none are expected to have much in the way of Fantasy value this season.
