News: The lower-body injury that kept Martin Hanzal out of the Coyotes' final few games has been identified as a groin/hip issue, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: GM Don Maloney revealed the details behind Martin Hanzal's injury following the Coyotes' exit meetings with the team brass Monday. The injury isn't considered anything too severe for Hanzal, who should be at full strength by the time training camp commences in September.

News: Martin Hanzal picked up an assist Tuesday in a win over Pittsburgh. He was plus-1 and blocked two shots, but did not register a shot on net in 20:10 of ice time.
Analysis: Martin Hanzal reached the 40-point plateau with the assist adding to his career-best numbers this year. If he had not missed more than a dozen games due to injury he would probably be looking at a 50 point season.

News: Martin Hanzal grabbed an assist Thurday in a win over Florida. He took two shots and added two hits and a blocked shot, while winning nine of 11 faceoffs.
Analysis: Martin Hanzal adds to a career high in points with 39. He will almost certainly cross the 40 point barrier this year and at 26 years-old is having a nice breakthrough season that he can build on in coming years. With 177 hits on the season he is also becoming one the NHL's best power forwards.

Analysis: Playing for the first time in seven games, Martin Hanzal saw 17:04 of ice time in the victory. In addition to gathering the point, he demonstrated his usual physicality on the defensive end, registering three hits.

Analysis: Tippett didn't go all the way and say that Martin Hanzal would in fact be in Monday's lineup, but at the very least, it appears the forward is now healthy. He has been out of the lineup since Mar. 2, and could be eased back into action with lighter minutes than normal if he were to return Monday.
