McArdle Released By Ducks

News: Kenndal McArdle was released from his minor-league tryout with the Ducks on Friday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Kenndal McArdle was battling for a spot on Ducks' AHL affiliate Norfolk's roster. The former first-round pick will likely get a shot with another minor league or foreign team, but his NHL prospects about thin at this point.

Jets Send McArdle To AHL

News: The Jets have reassigned Kenndal McArdle to the AHL, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Kenndal McArdle didn't record a point in nine games with the Jets this season and it appears that the team will be content letting the 24-year-old winger develop his talents in the AHL. He had 26 points in 54 games with the Rochester Americans of the AHL last year so he could develop fantasy value in the future, but he has none right now.

Winnipeg's McArdle Clears Waivers

News: Kenndal McArdle cleared waivers Saturday, CJOB-AM's Dan Kamal reports.
Analysis: Kenndal McArdle hasn't put up a point in his last 21 appearances in the majors, so he could use some more AHL seasoning.

Jets Place McArdle On Waivers

News: The Jets have placed Kenndal McArdle on waivers, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Analysis: After trading for Kenndal McArdle in July, he hasn't produced any points in five games with the Jets this season. The 24-year-old winger has a negative rating and if he clears waivers, could be sent to the AHL.

Panthers Recall McArdle

News: McArdle has been recalled by the Panthers, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: He'll likely be on the fourth line and in the lineup for Friday night's game against the Red Wings, but his role is a very limited one which puts a pretty big cap on his fantasy value.

Panthers Call Up McArdle

News: McArdle has been called up by the Panthers, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: He'll bring toughness as an enforcer for the Panthers following the demotion of Michal Repik on Friday. Don't expect much from him beyond goon points in the short term.

Panthers Waive McArdle

News: McArdle was waived by the Panthers on Monday, and will likely report to AHL Rochester if he clears, the Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: He has been improving, but the Panthers' fourth line has been playing well of late and they already have an enforcer in Darcy Hardichuk. That makes McArdle the odd man out.

McArdle Likely to be Healthy Scratch Sunday for Panthers

News: McArdle is unlikely to play Sunday when the Panthers open their season against Edmonton, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: McArdle's spot on the fourth line was filled by newly acquired Darcy Hordichuk, who will meet the team Sunday in Edmonton. Steve Reinprecht will likely be the team's second healthy scratch.

McArdle back in AHL on Sunday

News: Florida LW Kenndal McArdle was reassigned to Rochester (AHL) on Sunday.
Analysis: McArdle only returned to the lineup in late January after missing nearly two months with an arm injury. He has bounced between the AHL and NHL this season. He is pretty much up when Florida needs some extra muscle. Ignore him in Fantasy until further notice.

McArdle off IR, scores 1st NHL goal

News: Panthers LW Kenndal McArdle scored his first NHL goal in Florida's 2-0 win over the Leafs on Saturday, as he returned from an almost two-month layoff (arm).
Analysis: McArdle is usually just an enforcer for the Panthers, and played just 7:29 on Saturday night. Continue to ignore him in the majority of Fantasy leagues.

McArdle has begun skating

News: The Palm Beach Post reports that Panthers LW Kenndal McArdle (arm) has begun skating again.
Analysis: McArdle is just an enforcer when he's on the ice for Florida and is only a flier start in deeper leagues that reward bad behavior when healthy.

McArdle back in South Florida

News: The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Panthers LW Kenndal McArdle (arm) has returned to Fort Lauderdale and will be examined on Monday.
Analysis: McArdle had been helping fill in as the Florida enforcer while Nick Tarnasky (eye) is out, but now McArdle might miss some time as well. Continue to ignore him in all leagues except super-deep ones that reward PIM.

McArdle leaves with arm injury

News: Panthers LW Kenndal McArdle left Saturday's loss at Nashville in the second period with a right arm injury immediately following his second fight of the game with Jordin Tootoo.
Analysis: McArdle was helping fill in as the enforcer while Nick Tarnasky (eye) was out, but now McArdle might miss some time as well. Continue to ignore him in all leagues except super-deep ones that reward PIM.

Panthers recall McArdle, Repik

News: The Panthers have recalled LW Kenndal McArdle and RW Michal Repik from the AHL.
Analysis: Repik is currently fifth in the AHL with 11 points in eight games and might be worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues if he gets time on the scoring lines. McArdle is a big body who has racked up 54 penalty minutes in 10 AHL games this season, and will certainly fill the enforcer role in Sunrise with Nick Tarnasky still out. Don't worry about McArdle in Fantasy play, however.

Panthers send two down to minors

News: The Panthers sent C Janis Sprukts and LW Kenndal McArdle were both sent to Rochester of the AHL Sunday.

McArdle to make NHL debut Tues.

News: The Miami Herald reports that Panthers LW Kenndal McArdle will make his NHL debut on Tuesday night at Washington.
Analysis: McArdle is known more for his ability to find the penalty box than the net, so is only worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues that reward PIM.
