Jets Recall Galiardi

News: T.J. Galiardi was recalled from AHL St. John's on Friday.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi was assigned to St. John's for only a matter of hours. Fourth-liner Matt Halischuk evidently acquired some sort of injury during Thursday's game against the Flyers and was placed on IR, opening up a roster spot. Look for Galiardi to play at least the next three games, as Halischuk won't be eligible to return until the following Friday.

Jets' Galiardi Clears Waivers

News: T.J. Galiardi cleared waivers and was assigned to AHL St. John's on Friday, Sportsnet's Mark Spector reports.
Analysis: As anticipated, no team was willing to put a claim in for a player who put up just one point in 26 games. T.J. Galiardi will head to the minors and remain on hand as organizational depth for the Jets.

Jets Place Galiardi On Waivers

News: T.J. Galiardi was placed on waivers Thursday.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi had previously been placed on waivers in November, but he ended up sticking with the Jets rather than reporting to AHL St. John's. Injuries had necessitated his placement in the lineup, but the subsequent returns of Evander Kane and Mathieu Perreault have since relegated him back to healthy scratch duty. With just one point in 26 games this season, Galiardi should clear waivers Friday without too much fanfare.

Jets' Galiardi Scores First Goal In Nine Months

News: T.J. Galiardi scored his first NHL goal in nearly nine full months on Saturday in a 5-1 win over Toronto.
Analysis: Earlier in the week, head coach Paul Maurice mentioned he hoped plugging T.J. Galiardi into the lineup may lead to some much needed increased scoring production from his bottom two lines. After Saturday's win, it looks like he may have been right. Galiardi was a healthy scratch in 17 of Winnipeg's last 21 games. With Evander Kane (lower body) out until at least February, Galiardi will likely be suiting up on a much more consistent basis for the foreseeable future.

Jets' Galiardi Likely To Play Saturday

News: T.J. Galiardi will likely play Saturday against Toronto, Paul Wiecek of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi has struggled to get into Winnipeg's lineup this season, but skated with Adam Lowry and Matt Halischuk on the Jets' third line in Friday's practice. The team has gotten very little in terms of production from its bottom two lines, and head coach Paul Maurice hopes that shaking things up by plugging Galiardi into the lineup may light a fire under Winnipeg's third and fourth lines.

Jets' Galiardi Rejoins Lineup

News: T.J. Galiardi will rejoin the Winnipeg lineup Tuesday versus the Stars, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi had been a healthy scratch over the team's last 11 games, while also clearing waivers during that span. He chose to stick around with the Jets rather than accept an assignment to the minors, and his patience will at least be rewarded for a game. He steps into the lineup for Evander Kane, who was given a two-game suspension on Monday.

Jets' Galiardi Clears Waivers

News: T.J. Galiardi cleared waivers Wednesday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Analysis: Now that he's cleared waivers, T.J. Galiardi will have the option of whether or not to accept his assignment to AHL St. John's. Given that he didn't warrant a claim from the other NHL clubs after producing no points in 17 games, it seems likely that he'll swallow his pride and return to the minors.

Jets Place Galiardi On Waivers

News: The Jets placed T.J. Galiardi on waivers Tuesday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi appeared in 17 games for the Jets, but did not record a point. He could garner some interest on the waiver wire with 300 NHL games under his belt, but will be assigned to AHL St. John's if he is not claimed.

Jets' Galiardi Returns To Practice

News: T.J. Galiardi (eye) returned to practice Friday, Paul Wiecek of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi indicated that the vision in his eye is still a bit compromised following surgery and may require a few weeks before the blurriness subsides, but it shouldn't prevent him from suiting up for games. Galiardi is ticketed for duty on the fourth line or as a healthy scratch for the Jets most nights.

Jets' Galiardi Undergoes Surgery

News: T.J. Galiardi (eye) will miss at least the next week, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi had laser eye surgery Friday after taking a stick to the eye during practice, and will need at least the next seven days to recover. He should be available for the team's regular season opener barring any setbacks.

Wild's Galiardi Injures Eye

News: T.J. Galiardi took a stick to the eye during practice Friday but the severity of the injury is still unknown, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: With the severity of the injury unknown, T.J. Galiardi should be considered day-to-day and questionable for Saturday's exhibition game against the Wild. In concern for the regular season, Galiardi will have plenty of time shaking this injury off before Winnipeg's start of the season on Oct. 9 against Phoenix.

Jets Add Galiardi On Two-Way Deal

News: T.J. Galiardi signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 with the Jets, reports TSN.ca.
Analysis: The former second-round pick scored four goals and added 13 assists in 62 games with the Flames last season, so we're not expecting miracles.

News: T.J. Galiardi was among the Flames who did not receive qualifying offers from the team, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Also headed for free agency after not being extended qualifying offers by the Flames are Paul Byron, David Eddy, James Martin and Olivier Roy. T.J. Galiardi recorded 17 points in 62 games this past season for Calgary.

Flames' Galiardi Posts Pair of Points

News: T.J. Galiardi had his third multi-point contest of the season Wednesday in a 4-3 shootout victory against the Kings.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi had been the victim of a healthy scratch a couple times in the past month, but seems to be playing a little better as the season comes to a close. He has 17 points in 61 games, and will be a free agent after this season.

News: T.J. Galiardi is out of the lineup again for Friday's contest against the Rangers, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi has been in and out of the lineup this week, sitting on Saturday but playing on Wednesday. He will sit again on Friday, and will likely continue to be a game-to-game lineup decision going forward.

News: T.J. Galiardi will return to the lineup against the Ducks on Wednesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi will replace Ken Agostino, who hasn't been overly impressive in his first three games. Galiardi checks back into the Flames lineup with 15 points and a minus-14 rating in 54 contests.

News: T.J. Galiardi will be replaced in the lineup Saturday by Kevin Westgarth, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi has been in and out of the lineup all season due to injuries and healthy scratches, so this isn't a big surprise. He has 15 points in the 2013-14 campaign.

Flames' Galiardi Out For Wednesday

News: T.J. Galiardi (undisclosed) will not play Wednesday against the Senators.

News: T.J. Galiardi was not on the ice during Wednesday's morning skate and is believed to be nursing an injury, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: The word circulating at the morning skate is that T.J. Galiardi sustained some sort of injury during Monday's game against the Wild, and it's possible he could be forced to miss Wednesday's contest against the Senators. Consider him a game-time decision until the team updates his status.
