Jets' Galiardi Returns To Practice

News: T.J. Galiardi (eye) returned to practice Friday, Paul Wiecek of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi indicated that the vision in his eye is still a bit compromised following surgery and may require a few weeks before the blurriness subsides, but it shouldn't prevent him from suiting up for games. Galiardi is ticketed for duty on the fourth line or as a healthy scratch for the Jets most nights.

Jets' Galiardi Undergoes Surgery

News: T.J. Galiardi (eye) will miss at least the next week, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi had laser eye surgery Friday after taking a stick to the eye during practice, and will need at least the next seven days to recover. He should be available for the team's regular season opener barring any setbacks.

Wild's Galiardi Injures Eye

News: T.J. Galiardi took a stick to the eye during practice Friday but the severity of the injury is still unknown, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: With the severity of the injury unknown, T.J. Galiardi should be considered day-to-day and questionable for Saturday's exhibition game against the Wild. In concern for the regular season, Galiardi will have plenty of time shaking this injury off before Winnipeg's start of the season on Oct. 9 against Phoenix.

Jets Add Galiardi On Two-Way Deal

News: T.J. Galiardi signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 with the Jets, reports TSN.ca.
Analysis: The former second-round pick scored four goals and added 13 assists in 62 games with the Flames last season, so we're not expecting miracles.

News: T.J. Galiardi will be replaced in the lineup Saturday by Kevin Westgarth, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi has been in and out of the lineup all season due to injuries and healthy scratches, so this isn't a big surprise. He has 15 points in the 2013-14 campaign.

Flames' Galiardi Out For Wednesday

News: T.J. Galiardi (undisclosed) will not play Wednesday against the Senators.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi apparently suffered the injury in the gym, not during Monday's game against the Wild, but there's still no word about how serious it is. Corban Knight was called up from AHL Abbotsford on Wednesday and will make his NHL debut Wednesday in Galiardi's place.

Flames' Galiardi Could Be Nursing Injury

News: T.J. Galiardi was not on the ice during Wednesday's morning skate and is believed to be nursing an injury, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: The word circulating at the morning skate is that T.J. Galiardi sustained some sort of injury during Monday's game against the Wild, and it's possible he could be forced to miss Wednesday's contest against the Senators. Consider him a game-time decision until the team updates his status.

Flames Activate Galiardi

News: T.J. Galiardi (back) will play Thursday against the Hurricanes, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 the FAN reports.
Analysis: Back issues have sidelined T.J. Galiardi for the past three weeks, but coach Bob Hartley said the 25-year-old will slide back into the lineup Thursday, possibly in place of Curtis Glencross. The Flames will have to officially activate Galiardi prior to the game.

Flames Place Galiardi On IR

News: The Flames placed T.J. Galiardi (back spasms) on injured reserve Wednesday, the Calgary Sun's Randy Sportak reports.
Analysis: The underachieving T.J. Galiardi was a healthy scratch Friday, suffered the back injury Monday, and sat out Wednesday. After a hot start with his new team, he has just three assists and no goals over his last 19 games. No word yet on how long he might be out.

Flames' Galiardi Doubtful For Wednesday

News: T.J. Galiardi (back spasms) appears doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Blackhawks after missing his second consecutive day of practice, Aaron Vickers of NHL.com reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi was a healthy scratch in the team's most recent game Friday against the Panthers, but it looks like he'll be in the press box for different reasons Wednesday. After coming over in a trade this summer with the Sharks, Galiardi hasn't done a whole lot with his expanded role, scoring six points in 22 games, including just one in his last 11 contests.

Flames' Galiardi Leaves Practice Monday

News: T.J. Galiardi left Monday's practice with the Flames due to back spasms, the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi has totaled six points this season on one goal and five assists while averaging 16:30 of ice time for the Flames. He had back spasms force him out of practice Monday, so his status for Wednesday's game is uncertain.

Flames' Galiardi A Likely Healthy Scratch

News: T.J. Galiardi will likely be the odd-man out Friday against Florida, the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi has been a bit of a disappointment this season with only one goal to his credit. His 39-point rookie season already appears far behind him, even though he hasn't been in the league for all that long.

Calgary's Galiardi Snaps Cold Streak

News: T.J. Galiardi had an assist in a 7-3 loss to Dallas on Thursday, his first point in eight games.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi got off to a pretty good start to the season, but has struggled to find the box score as of late. While he has potential, as evidenced by a 39-point season his rookie year, he has failed to come close to that production in the three seasons since.

Flames' Galiardi Leads Attack With Two-Point Night

News: T.J. Galiardi scored a goal and an assist in the Flames' 4-3 win over the Blue Jackets on Friday.
Analysis: He was also a plus-2, but scored on his only shot of the night. T.J. Galiardi doesn't have a lot of upside, so don't rush to spend your FAAB dollars on him just yet.

Flames' Galiardi May Move To Center

News: With a lack of depth at the position, the Flames are considering moving T.J. Galiardi to center, the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: The Flames have only two proven centers in Mikael Backlund and Matt Stajan, and neither are known for their consistency. Calgary has a little more talent on the wing, so all signs point to T.J. Galiardi moving to the middle. That does up his fantasy value a little bit, but he would likely be centering a third line on a poor offensive squad.

Galiardi Traded To Flames

News: The Sharks have traded T.J. Galiardi to the Flames for an undisclosed draft pick, TSN.ca reports.
Analysis: T.J. Galiardi notched five goals and 14 points in 36 games with the Sharks this past season. The Calgary native became expendable after San Jose dealt for fellow forward Tyler Kennedy during the recent NHL draft.

Galiardi Nets Game-Winner For San Jose

News: T.J. Galiardi scored Sunday's game-winning goal for San Jose, adding three shots and 16:39 in ice time.
Analysis: That's T.J. Galiardi's first goal this postseason. He has two points in the last three games, and zero points in the eight games prior to that. He's finding his stride, but use with caution.
