Ducks' Maroon Nabs Power-Play Goal

News: Patrick Maroon potted a power-play goal in Wednesday's Game 6 loss to the Blackhawks.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon has been outstanding all postseason for the Ducks, but he's really ratcheted up his production in the Western Conference Finals. Through six games, he's recorded three goals on 20 shot attempts, while also posting sizable hit totals on the defensive end.

Ducks' Maroon Tallies First Point Of Series

News: Patrick Maroon scored his first goal of the Western Conference Final on Thursday, helping along a 2-1 victory over the Blackhawks in Game 3.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon had been silent in both games at the Honda Center to start the series, but wasted no time in Game 3, as he opened the scoring on a power play in the first. The goal is his fifth of the postseason, tying him with Matt Beleskey for second on the team behind Corey Perry (eight).

Ducks' Maroon Stays Hot In Game 4

News: Patrick Maroon continued his torrid play in Friday's Game 4 triumph over the Flames, netting a goal on one of his team-best six shot attempts.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon is the latest Ducks winger to take a spin on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, and he's certainly done his part to ensure he won't surrender that role in the near future. The 27-year-old has tallied a goal in all but one of the four games in the series, and has a total of four goals, two assists, and 18 shot attempts across eight postseason contests.

Ducks' Maroon Churning Out Points

News: Patrick Maroon potted the game-winning goal in Thursday's 6-1 shellacking of the Flames in Game 1 of the second-round series.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon has routinely jostled up and down the Ducks' lineup all season, but he's made for a strong value play lately now that he's been skating next to Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf, who were both credited with assists on Thursday's goal. The winger has failed to come away with a point in just one of the Ducks' five playoff games thus far, so it stands to reason that he'll remain on the top line until his production begins to tail off.

Ducks' Maroon Productive In Game 2 Win

News: Patrick Maroon was productive in Saturday's Game 2 win over the Jets, scoring a goal, dishing out seven hits and firing four shots on goal.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon has recorded a point in each of the Ducks' first two playoff games, helping them grab a 2-0 series lead over the Jets. Skating on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, expect the 26-year-old to continue to put up points alongside two of the best players in the game. Maroon's also seeing some decent power play time, which was seen Saturday when he redirected a Cam Fowler shot past goaltender Ondrej Pavelec. He may be streaky, but if he's skating in the Ducks' top six, he's got enough offensive talent to find twine.

Ducks' Maroon Back In Wednesday

News: Patrick Maroon (illness) is in line to play Wednesday against the Avalanche.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon missed the Ducks' previous game last Friday against the Avalanche due to an illness, but it appears he's since made a full recovery. He'll likely be deployed on the fourth line next to Tim Jackman and Chris Wagner in his return.

Ducks' Maroon Ruled Out Friday

News: Patrick Maroon (illness) will not play Friday against the Avalanche, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon was forced out of the third period of Wednesday's win over the Oilers due to the flu and hasn't been back on the ice since that time. With the winger unavailable, Stefan Noesen was recalled from AHL Norfolk to join the lineup.

Ducks' Maroon Sits For Third

News: Patrick Maroon didn't play a shift in Anaheim's win over the Oilers on Wednesday.
Analysis: Coach Bruce Boudreau did say that Patrick Maroon had been fighting off an illness, which was ultimately the reason why he didn't play in the third. He was obviously heathy enough to dress, which means that there shouldn't be cause for concern at the moment. Stay tuned for Maroon's status in the Ducks' final regular season games.

Ducks' Maroon Opens Scoring In Boston

News: Patrick Maroon scored his ninth goal of the season Thursday night against the Bruins.
Analysis: A nifty little move allowed Patrick Maroon to get open and fire a shot past Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask. He's only managed 33 points on the season, but Maroon remains part of a whole host of Ducks who are hanging around the outer region of fantasy relevance.

Ducks' Maroon Tallies Assist In Loss

News: Patrick Maroon assisted on Corey Perry's early first period goal Sunday at Madison Square Garden.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon has quietly scored four points in four games since being a healthy scratch on the 13th of March. Maroon could provide a nice late season push for fantasy owners -- especially if he can stay on the top line with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf.

Ducks' Maroon Records Two Assists In Return

News: Patrick Maroon assisted twice in the third period of Anaheim's comeback win over the Preds.
Analysis: A nice little bounce back game for Patrick Maroon, as he was a healthy scratch for Friday's tilt with Minnesota. The points end a ten game drought for Maroon, and also set a career high with 30 this season.

Ducks' Maroon Heading To Press Box Friday

News: Patrick Maroon will be a healthy scratch Friday against the Wild, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: With Matt Beleskey (shoulder) returning to the lineup Friday, Patrick Maroon will find himself in the press box for the first time all season due to non-injury-related reasons. Maroon hasn't helped his cause by producing points in only two of his last 19 games, which could turn Friday's absence from the lineup into a more regular occurrence.

Ducks' Maroon Continues To Struggle

News: Patrick Maroon failed to tally a point Wednesday in Calgary, extending his pointless streak to 10.
Analysis: He's only hit the scoresheet twice in the past 19 games, so hopefully his recent promotion to the top line will help him regain his scoring touch. However, he has contributed nicely in the PIMs category, recording 14 in his last three games and 71 on the season.

Ducks' Maroon Ends Drought

News: Patrick Maroon scored the lone Ducks goal in a 4-1 loss Wednesday to the Lightning.
Analysis: While this was Patrick Maroon's first point in eight games, he was arguably the lone bright spot in a poor outing for his team. Unfortunately, Maroon is currently skating on the third line where his fantasy value is somewhat limited, so look for other options until Maroon either starts producing more consistently, or gets moved up the lineup.

Ducks' Maroon Moving To Second Line

News: Patrick Maroon will move to the second line for Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes, the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon has enjoyed skating on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry the past two weeks, piling up four goals and four assists over his past six games. No matter, the Ducks will have Maroon swap places with Matt Beleskey, who has also been productive in 2015.

Ducks' Maroon Thriving On Top Line

News: Patrick Maroon notched an empty-net goal in Tuesday's 4-0 thrashing of the Canucks.
Analysis: A week off the schedule did little to slow Patrick Maroon from staying productive, as the goal helped him extend his point streak to four games (three goals, three assists). He's seen ice time above his season average in all four of those contests, suggesting coach Bruce Boudreau is content with keeping him on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. He's worth a look while he remains in that favorable arrangement, but can probably be dropped once an inevitable slump hits.

Ducks' Maroon Collects Two Assists

News: Patrick Maroon registered a pair of assists in Saturday's win over the Kings.
Analysis: That's back-to-back multi-point games from Patrick Maroon, who now has three goals and 21 points in 38 games on the season. On pace for 40 points, Maroon is valuable in deeper formats, especially considering he's plays on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

Two-Point Outing For Ducks' Maroon

News: Patrick Maroon notched a goal and assist and attempted four shots on goal in Friday's win over the Devils.
Analysis: It's only the third multi-point performance of the season for Patrick Maroon, who has seen his production (and ice time) dry up of late. Prior to skating 17:32 on Friday night, Maroon hadn't surpassed 16 minutes of ice time in any of his last seven games, during which he mustered only two points.

Ducks' Maroon Logs Five Hits Sunday

News: Patrick Maroon (upper body) saw 14:46 of ice time Sunday against the Predators. He finished the evening with five hits and five shots on goal in the win.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon's status was in some question after he left Saturday's practice with an injury, but it wasn't anything that ended up forcing him out of action. Though he didn't tally a point Sunday, he turned in an active outing and didn't seem to be inhibited by the injury.

Ducks' Maroon Leaves Practice With Minor Injury

News: Patrick Maroon left Saturday's practice with an upper-body injury, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Coach Bruce Boudreau suggested afterward the issue is nothing serious, but it will keep the winger day-to-day heading into Sunday's game against the Predators. Patrick Maroon hasn't tallied a goal since Dec. 3 and has 16 points in 32 games this season.

Two-Point Evening For Ducks' Maroon

News: Patrick Maroon picked up a goal and assist in Wednesday's shootout win over the Flyers.
Analysis: The goal was Patrick Maroon's second of the season and came on a third-period power-play, which ended an 0-for-19 slump for the Ducks on the man advantage. Maroon, who had previously come up through the Flyers' system before being dealt to Anaheim in 2010, finished as the game's third star.

Ducks' Maroon Held Off The Scoresheet

News: Patrick Maroon failed to record a point and finished with a minus-1 rating in Friday's shootout loss to the Coyotes.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon skated on the team's top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Devante Smith-Pelly, so even though he has one assist on the season in four games, that should change now that Getzlaf is back in the lineup. Of course, once Corey Perry (flu) returns, Smith-Pelly will likely be looking for new linemates.

Ducks' Maroon (Knee) Will Play Friday

News: Patrick Maroon will play Friday against the Stars, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon seemed more likely to be slated for a Sunday return against the Avalanche, but appears to be on track for Friday's game. He has cut his initial timetable of four weeks in half by making his return to the ice for the first time since he sprained his MCL on Oct. 14.

Ducks' Maroon A Game-Time Decision Friday

News: Coach Bruce Boudreau is calling Patrick Maroon (knee) a game-time decision for Friday's tilt with the Stars, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: It's probably more likely that Patrick Maroon makes his return from injured reserve Sunday against Colorado, but the Ducks will give the forward the opportunity to show he's ready to go. He was initially projected to miss four weeks after spraining his MCL on Oct. 14, but seems poised to return to action in just over two weeks.

Ducks' Maroon Progressing Well

News: Patrick Maroon (knee) is recovering faster than anticipated from his MCL sprain and could play at some point during the Ducks' current four-game road trip, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Patrick Maroon suffered the injury Oct. 14 and was expected to miss four weeks, but a return over the next few days would mean that he was able to cut that projected recovery timetable in half. The winger won't be an option for Thursday's game in St. Louis, but coach Bruce Boudreau indicated there's a good chance the winger will be available for Friday in Dallas or Sunday in Colorado. Maroon was previously deployed on the Ducks' first line prior to suffering the injury, but there's no guarantee he'll reclaim that role was activated from IR. Since Maroon has been out, all of Devante Smith-Pelly, Dany Heatley and Matt Beleskey have seen time on the top trio with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, and it's unclear if Boudreau will end up permanently settling on a player anytime soon.
