Panthers Recall Repik from AHL

News: Michal Repik was recalled from AHL San Antonio on Thursday, Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Michal Repik returns to the Panthers after spending the last month in AHL San Antonio. Over the course of 16 games earlier this season in the NHL, Repik tallied five points. As long as he stays with the Panthers, he will look to match or surpass his career-high of eight points. Jon Matsumoto will travel up with Repik, as Nolan Yonkman will head to AHL San Antonio to make room.

Panthers' Repik Clears Waivers, Sent To AHL

News: Michal Repik has cleared waivers and will be assigned to AHL San Antonio, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Michal Repik has notched five points (2G, 3A) in 16 games with the Panthers this season. He will continue to work on his game in San Antonio, and could set a new career high in points (8) if Florida decides they need his services later this season.

Panthers Place Repik On Waivers

News: Michal Repik was placed on waivers Thursday and will be assigned to San Antonio of the AHL if no team claims him by noon Friday, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Michal Repik has been playing better of late and loses out in the numbers game with a host of Panther players returning from injury. Repik has four points in 16 games played this season.

Panthers' Repik Scores In Loss

News: Michal Repik scored the lone goal for the Panthers in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins. The goal was his second of the season.
Analysis: Michal Repik has been back and forth in the AHL over the course of the season and the inconsistency makes him merely a spot-start candidate in deeper leagues. Still, at only 23 years old, Repik might be worth keeping an eye on as a potential sleeper option going into next year.

Panthers' Repik Scores In Return

News: Michal Repik was credited with his first goal of the season in his return to the lineup Thursday against Ottawa.
Analysis: It went off his skate and in, but he'll take the video-reviewed goal. They all look the same in the box score.

Panthers' Repik Recalled From AHL

News: Michal Repik was recalled from San Antonio of the AHL on Wednesday, the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Michal Repik played well in his previous stints with the Panthers, but did not make much of a fantasy impact. Repik can be a decent spot start, but should be reserved for only the deepest of leagues.

Panthers Send Repik Back to AHL

News: The Panthers sent Michal Repik back to their AHL team in San Antonio on Monday, Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Michal Repik did well when he was in San Antonio but didn't contribute much in the 10 days he was with the Panthers.

Panthers Recall Repik

News: The Panthers have recalled Michal Repik from AHL San Antonio, the team's official Twitter page reports.
Analysis: Michal Repik has been pretty good for the San Antonio Rampage this season, recording nine points (2G, 7A) in 14 games with the club. Repik had eight points (2G, 6A) in 31 games with the Panthers last year and figures to get plenty of playing time until Scottie Upshall and Mikael Samuelsson return. Even with playing time likely, it wouldn't be wise to expect much going forward.

News: Michal Repik has been placed on waivers, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: The seldom-used forward will report to San Antonio (AHL) if he clears.

Panthers Recall Repik

News: Repik has been recalled, reports Harvey Fialkov of the Florida Sun Sentinel.
Analysis: Repik has appeared in nine games this year, receiving about 10 minutes per game, and notched one goal and one assist. Anticipate about that level of production in this stint, however long it happens to be, meaning his fantasy value is limited.

Florida Sends Repik To AHL

News: Repik was assigned to the AHL on Wednesday, FloridaPanthers.com reports.
Analysis: Repik saw 6:55 of ice time Tuesday, skating to a minus-1 rating. It's unlikely that he'll make much of a fantasy impact in the short term.

Panthers Recall Repik

News: The Panthers recalled Repik from AHL Rochester on Tuesday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Cory Stillman's recent injury adds him to the rapidly growing ranks of injured Panthers, so Repik will join the team to provide some extra depth. He's been outstanding in 60 AHL games this year (22 goals, 31 assists), but had just two points in eight games with Florida earlier this season.

Panthers Send Repik to AHL

News: Repik was sent to Rochester (AHL) on Friday, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Kenndal McArdle was recalled from Rochester to take Repik's place on the roster and to add some toughness. Repik has just two points in eight games with Florida this season and will continue to gain polish at the AHL level until the Panthers give him another look.

Panthers' Repik Expected to Play

News: Repik took a puck off of his right ankle during the first period of Saturday's game, but is expected to play Monday, the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Repik missed a few shifts as a result of the injury, but was able to return to the ice. It doesn't look as though he'll miss any time.

Panthers Recall Repik

News: The Panthers recalled Repik from their AHL affiliate to replace the injured Steve Bernier, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Repik, who has four goals and 18 assists in 17 games with AHL Rochester, spent his preseason camp with the big club before being sent back down. Coach Pete DeBoer expressed hope that this time would shake out differently for Repik: "He deserves to be up here. He handled the demotoin the right way, and he's back up here. I just told him to make it so that we can't send him back down again." Repik will skate on a line with Steven Reinprecht and Shawn Matthias. Keep an eye on him; if he sticks, he could provide some nice depth to your roster.

Repik sent back to Rochester

News: The Panthers reassigned RW Michal Repik and D Keaton Ellerby to Rochester of the AHL on Sunday.
Analysis: Repik has totaled two goals and four points in 14 games with Florida. The 2007 second-round pick is only in his second year of pro hockey, so it's not time to write him off. But he pretty much remains a long-term Fantasy keeper until he stays in the NHL on a full-time basis.

Repik recalled by Florida

News: The Sports Xchange reports the Panthers brought up another player from their AHL team on Saturday as Michal Repik came up to replace Dominic Moore. Moore was injured in the second period of Friday's win at New Jersey in just another example of the strange injury bug that has hit the Panther this season. Moore was hurt as he ran up on his own stick, suffering minor abdominal injuries. He sat out Saturday against the Penguins.
Analysis: The Panthers hope Repik gives them another scoring threat; he has nine goals and nine assists in 22 games for the Rochester Americans this season. "Michal is in the same spot Shawn Matthias is," coach Peter DeBoer said. "These guys have become good players in Rochester and now have to grab a job when they get up here and get the opportunity. The message to (Repik) is the same as Shawn. You have to make it so that we can't send you back down. We have to keep playing you. And that's whether that's with four minutes of ice time or 10 minutes." The 2007 second-round pick is only in his second year of pro hockey, so it's not time to write him off. But he pretty much remains a long-term Fantasy keeper until he stays in the NHL on a full-time basis.

Panthers recall McArdle, Repik

News: The Panthers have recalled LW Kenndal McArdle and RW Michal Repik from the AHL.
Analysis: Repik is currently fifth in the AHL with 11 points in eight games and might be worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues if he gets time on the scoring lines. McArdle is a big body who has racked up 54 penalty minutes in 10 AHL games this season, and will certainly fill the enforcer role in Sunrise with Nick Tarnasky still out. Don't worry about McArdle in Fantasy play, however.

Repik scores after recall Thursday

News: Michal Repik scored for Florida during Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Sabres. Repik tied it at 1 with his second at 9:36 before Daniel Paille restored Buffalo's lead with a wrist shot from the left circle that deflected off Florida defenseman Nick Boynton's stick late in the period.
Analysis: Repik was recalled from Rochester of the AHL earlier Thursday to help offset the loss of Nathan Horton, who will be out two to four weeks because of sliced tendon in his finger. Repik has developing talent, but is best left for long-term Fantasy keeper leagues since he will likely be back in the AHL shortly.

Repik has minus-14 rating in minors

News: Panthers right wing prospect Michal Repik has totaled one goal and four assists in 10 January games for Rochester of the AHL. He has seven goals, 12 assists and a minus-14 rating in 39 games this season.
Analysis: Repik is adjusting to his first season of pro hockey. He debuted earlier this season for Florida and even scored a goal in four games. He is a 2007 second-round pick. Repik has developing talent, but is best left for long-term Fantasy keeper leagues.

Repik, Matthias sent back down

News: The Panthers have sent down RW Michal Repik and C Shawn Matthias to the AHL, in order to make room for Nathan Horton and David Booth coming off IR.
Analysis: Repik, a 2007 second-round pick, is in his first season of pro hockey, while Matthias has played 14 games with Florida over the last two seasons. Consider Matthias the better long-term Fantasy keeper.

Repik scores in NHL debut Monday

News: Panthers RW Michal Repik scored in his NHL debut during Monday's game against the Senators. Repik, who was called up from Rochester of the AHL earlier in the day along with forward Tanner Glass, drove the crease and put away Alex Auld's rebound of Keith Ballard's shot from the left corner. Repik skated straight to the Panthers' bench to celebrate the goal while Ballard recovered the milestone puck from linesman Derek Amell. "Obviously, I will keep it," Repik said. "It's my first goal in the National Hockey League. It's my dream. I came to play in the NHL and I scored a goal."
Analysis: Repik is the fourth rookie, along with C Michael Frolik, LW Kenndal McArdle and D Jason Garrison, to play his first career game with Florida this season. Repik, a 2007 second-round pick, is in his first season of pro hockey. He had 14 points in 24 games with Rochester, but could be back in the minors as soon as Florida gets some of its injured forwards back. Consider Repik more of a long-term Fantasy keeper.

News: The Panthers have recalled C Tanner Glass and RW Michal Repik from Rochester of the AHL.
Analysis: Neither of these are particularly top prospects, so ignore them in both keeper and seasonal leagues.

Panthers cut 23 from camp

News: The Panthers cut the following players from their camp on Sunday: G Chris Beckford-Tseu, RW Michal Repik, C David Brine, LW Kenndal McArdle, C Janis Sprukts, LW Stefan Meyer, LW Mike Duco, D Keaton Ellerby, D Peter Aston, RW Brady Calla, D Rory Fitzpatrick, G David Shantz, LW Andrew Sweetland, D Steve MacIntyre, RW Drew Larman, D Franklin MacDonald, D Jordan Henry, D Jason Garrison, RW Dan Collins, D James DeLory, D Michael Caruso, D Luke Beaverson and G Tyler Plante.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy value, so continue to ignore them in all Fantasy formats.
