Blues' Bergund Has Big Game In Game 4 Win

News: Patrik Berglund scored a goal and recorded an assist Wednesday in a 6-1 win over Minnesota in Game 4 of their series. He was plus-3 with two shots and a blocked shot in the game.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund has four points in the series so far, contributing at a much higher level than he did in the regular season. He's the kind of unsung player who can help take a playoff run deep.

Blues' Berglund Scores In Game 2 Win

News: Patrik Berglund scored in a crucial 4-1 win over the Wild in Game 2 of the series Saturday. He was plus-1 with two shots and five hits in the contest.

Blues' Berglund Has Assist In Win

News: Berglind picked up an assist Saturday in a 4-2 win over the Wild. He was plus-1 in the contest.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund finished the season with 12 goals and 27 points in 77 games, which was down from his 32 points in 2014-15. He remains in the Blues top-nine forwards and will lineup with talented players throughout the playoffs where could be a cheap option in playoff hockey contest.

Blues' Berglund Scores Twice In Win

News: Patrik Berglund netted a pair of goals in Friday's win over the Stars.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund has scored in back-to-back games and has recorded six points in his last four games. While he's been inconsistent, the current second-liner is a solid depth scorer who now has 12 goals and 26 point in 73 games.

Blues' Berglund Gets Two Points In Win

News: Patrik Berglund picked up an assist and an empty-net goal Thursday in a 4-1 win over the Flames.
Analysis: That's a pair of two-point efforts in the last three games for Patrik Berglund, who's had a fairly miserable season overall, with just 24 points to his credit. But hey, maybe he can finish strong and take that momentum forward into the playoffs, then next season.

Blues' Berglund: Two Points, But First In 12 Games

News: Patrik Berglund picked up his first points in 12 games when he scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 4-2 loss to Columbus.
Analysis: So much potential, so little production. Patrik Berglund has incredible talent, but it looks like he's settling into a 30-point kind of center. Unfortunately, this year, he's sitting at 22 (nine goals, 13 assists). He's not worthy.

Blues Make Struggling Berglund A Healthy Scratch

News: Patrik Berglund will be a healthy scratch for Thursday's game against the Flyers, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports.
Analysis: Coach Ken Hitchcock verified that Patrik Berglund is fully healthy and will play Saturday against the Wild, but said that he felt the forward could benefit from a break. Chris Porter will instead enter the lineup, likely joining David Backes and T.J. Oshie on the top line. Berglund, who has eight goals and 20 points in 62 games this season, has seen his ice time decline to 14:40, his lowest mark since 2009-10. The drop can mostly be attributed to the Blues' influx of talent, as Berglund simply isn't needed to skate on a scoring line, which has led to negative consequences for his offensive production.

Blues' Berglund Picks Up Assist In Win

News: Patrik Berglund grabbed an assist Saturday in a 2-1 win over Edmonton. He was plus-1 with one shot and a hit in the game.
Analysis: Burgled has only 20 points on the season, but he has picked up four points in his past eight games, which counts as a modest hot streak for the veteran winger. He is playing with red hot Paul Stastny, so keep rolling him while they have this chemistry going.

Blues' Berglund Scores In Win

News: Patrik Berglund scored the Blues' only goal in regulation, his eighth, Thursday in a 2-1 shootout win over Winnipeg. He was plus-1 and scored on his only shot of the night.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund is a pretty modest offensive contributor for the Blues with just 19 points on the season and helpful only in deeper fantasy leagues because he doesn't fill up ancillary categories very much either. So long as he is among the Blues' top nine forwards he will retain some value since the team is so deep and talented.

Blues' Berglund Scores In Loss

News: Patrik Berglund scored the Blues' only goal Wednesday in a 4-1 loss to Dallas. He was plus-1, took two shots, and had one hit in the contest.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund is having a quiet year offensively even by his standards, with just 18 points in 53 games. His checking ability will keep him among the Blues' top nine forwards for the foreseeable future, so he will have chances to add to these totals.

Blues' Berglund Should Go Tuesday

News: Patrik Berglund left Monday's practice after falling into the boards, but should be good to go Tuesday against Dallas, reports Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund had a bum shoulder that caused him to miss a couple of games recently, but it seems like he will be fine despite needing to be helped off the ice at Blues' practice.

Blues' Berglund Looks To Be In Thursday

News: Patrik Berglund (shoulder) is on the ice for pregame warmups and looks to be in the lineup Thursday against the Sabres, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: The Blues don't appear to be skating an extra forward during the warmup, an indication that the team is comfortable enough with Patrik Berglund's health to let him play. He'll return from a three-game absence to center a third line that consists of youngsters Dmitrij Jaskin and Ty Rattie.

Blues' Berglund: Game-Time Decision Thursday

News: Patrik Berglund (shoulder) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's match against the Sabres, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund's odds of playing Thursday would seem to be more than 50-50, as he took rushes with the third line during the Blues' morning skate. The forward has missed the last three games with the injury.

Blues' Berglund To Miss Another Game

News: General manager Doug Armstrong confirmed Patrik Berglund is dealing with a shoulder injury and would not play Tuesday against the Lightning, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund will miss his third straight game with the injury, and while the Blues haven't provided a timetable for his recovery just yet, it sounds like his ailment could be more than a day-to-day concern. He hasn't resumed skating since sustaining the injury last Thursday.

News: Patrik Berglund (upper body) is not likely to suit up Sunday against the Caps, according to coach Ken Hitchcock, reports Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund is still considered day-to-day, but won't suit up until next week at the earliest.

Blues' Berglund (Upper Body) Won't Play Friday

News: Patrik Berglund (upper body) will not play in Friday's game against the Hurricanes, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund will make the trip to Carolina with the team Friday, but won't play in the contest. The news that he will travel is good, because it likely indicates the injury isn't believed to be serious. His next chance to return will come Sunday against the Capitals.

Blues' Berglund Done With Upper-Body Injury

News: Patrik Berglund suffered an upper-body injury in the second period Thursday night's game against the Predators and will not return.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund finished the game with 7:20 of ice time, positing an assist and a hit. His next chance to return would be Friday against the Hurricanes, but his status should be updated prior to the contest.

Blues' Berglund Heats Up

News: Patrik Berglund scored his sixth goal Saturday in a shootout win over the Hurricanes. He was minus-2 with four shots in the contest.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund has a three game points streak going as he is benefitting from the Blues pummelling the back of their opponents net lately. His 15 points on the season are disappointing, but perhaps this streak is a sign of recovery for him that will get back up to where his owners expect him to be.

Blues' Berglund Scores In Blowout

News: Patrik Berglund scored his fifth goal of the season Thursday in the Blues' 7-2 rout of the Sharks. He was plus-1 and took two shots in the victory.
Analysis: Burglund has points in two straight following a six-game point drought. He has 14 points in 40 games, which is a similar scoring pace to last year, as his name continues to come up in trade rumors. His shooting percentage is below his career norm, which could signal that more goals are on their way the rest of the season as it gets back to normal.

Berglund Chips In Two Helpers For Blues

News: Patrik Berglund contributed two assists to Tuesday's 6-0 domination of the Coyotes.
Analysis: So ends a six-game scoreless streak for Patrik Berglund, who remains on pace for one of his worst NHL seasons. With just 13 points in 39 games, the 26-year-old continues to be a massive disappointment. Those 52 points in 2010-11 feel like they came a million years ago.

Blues' Berglund Scores In Loss

News: Patrik Berglund scored his fourth goal of the year Saturday in a loss San Jose. He was plus-1 with two shots and two hits on the night.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund's offensive output has been disappointing this year with just 11 points in 32 games, although he has never been a big scorer. Regardless trade rumours surround the veteran Swede and how he responds could provide a boost to his owners.

Blues' Berglund Nabs Assist Saturday

News: Patrik Berglund picked up an assist Saturday in a win over Minnesota. He was plus-1 and took two shots.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund has really struggled offensively with just five points in 23 games. Although he has put 43 shots on net, and a few more goals should come his way, but he is not helping fantasy owners even in deep leagues.

Blues' Berglund Nets Two Points In Win

News: Patrik Berglund bagged a goal and an assist in Saturday's win over Washington.
Analysis: It's been a disappointing season for Patrik Berglund, who only has four points (two goals) in 16 games. The fact he isn't being used on the power play only makes matters worse, as fantasy owners must rely solely on even-strength production. Berglund has been playing better hockey of late, though, so he's one to keep an eye on. If he continues to produce on the second line, he could be worth a look in some deeper leagues.

Blues' Berglund Finds Twine Monday

News: Patrik Berglund notched his first goal of the season in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund has been on the outside looking in on the Blues top-six forward group this season, and his production (two points, minus-2 in 10 games) has reflected that. Even with the injury to T.J. Oshie (concussion), Berglund has been bumped down the Blues' depth chart by Jori Lehtera, who has looked great anchoring a second line with Vlad Tarasenko and Alex Steen. As long as he's seeing time in St. Louis' bottom six -- which could be for awhile -- the former 22-goal scorer's fantasy value will remain limited.

Blues' Berglund To Play Thursday

News: Patrik Berglund (upper body) will be back in the Blues' lineup Thursday, according to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund sat out Saturday's game against Calgary. He should slot back onto a line with David Backes and TJ Oshie.
