Flyers Re-Sign White

News: Ryan White re-signed with the Flyers on Tuesday on a one-year, $800,000 contract, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: After inking a two-way deal with the Flyers last summer, Ryan White was upgraded to a one-way contract following his respectable showing with the squad. In 34 games, White tallied six goals and six assists, while piling up the hits in a bottom-six role. He's unlikely to raise his offensive outputs in the seasons to come, but White's blend of physical play and complementary scoring should make him a lineup fixture most nights.

Flyers' White Scores In Sunday's Win

News: Ryan White found the back of the net in Sunday's 4-1 victory over the Penguins.
Analysis: With the Flyers holding a 2-1 lead to begin the third period, Ryan White effectively salted the game away when he buried a one-timer past goalie Thomas Greiss with just under five minutes remaining in the match. The 27-year-old hast tallied three goals in his last six games while working in a bottom-six role for the Flyers.

Flyers' White Grabs Two Points In Loss

News: Ryan White factored into both goals, potting one and assisting on another in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Devils.
Analysis: Ryan White has been surprisingly productive since being recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley in January, recording a career-high eight points in 19 games. Still, his overall impact figures to favor the NHL club more than fantasy owners, so his value is limited to deeper formats.

Flyers' White Collects Assist In OT Loss

News: Ryan White added a helper to the box score in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to Calgary.
Analysis: After a four-points-in-four-games streak two weeks ago, Ryan White entered a zero-points-in-four-games streak last week. His fantasy value is of particular interest to dynasty owners, as he doesn't figure to have a tremendous impact on the remainder of this season.

Flyers' White: Three Points In Three Games

News: Ryan White scored his first goal of the season in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss to Buffalo.
Analysis: The recent recall had just one point since being brought up on January 27. He may see more ice time as a result of his recent production, especially with the Flyers' playoff hopes waning. He still only figures to have an impact in the deepest of leagues.

Flyers Recall White From Minors

News: Ryan White was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday.
Analysis: Ryan White will help the Flyers fill out their bottom-six forward ranks after Zac Rinaldo was handed out an eight-game suspension Monday. After undergoing surgery in August to repair a pectoral muscle, White was sidelined until late December with the injury. He's since played 11 games for Lehigh Valley, logging a goal and two assists.

Flyers Loan White To AHL Lehigh Valley

News: Ryan White was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.
Analysis: The veteran winger has yet to play in the NHL this season following surgery on his left pectoral muscle. As such, the Flyers likely wanted to give him some additional time in the AHL to get back into game shape before returning to the big club.

Flyers Place White On Waivers

News: Ryan White was placed on waivers by the Flyers on Monday, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Ryan White was recalled from his conditioning stint with AHL Lehigh Valley and placed back on waivers with the intention of sending him back to the minors for more ice time. The veteran winger hasn't played in the NHL this season following surgery on his left pectoral muscle, but could be on track to return at some point in the near future. With five months off, the Flyers likely wanted to give him some extra conditioning before rejoining the team, and that will happen assuming he goes unclaimed through waivers.

Flyers' White Returns

News: Ryan White has been recalled from his conditioning stint with Lehigh Valley.
Analysis: Although he did not contribute on the score sheet during the conditioning assignment, the Flyers will have Ryan White available for Tuesday's home game against Ottawa.

Flyers' White To Begin Conditioning Stint

News: Ryan White (chest) will begin his conditioning stint at AHL Lehigh Valley, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Expect the Flyers to keep Ryan White on assignment for nearly all of the maximum 14 days allowed, as he missed all of training camp while recovering from surgery on his left pectoral muscle in August. He's known more for his scrapping ability on the checking line than any scoring touch, which should keep him off the fantasy radar for the most part once he finally returns.

Flyers' White Expected To Start Conditioning Soon

News: Ryan White (chest) is expected to report to AHL Lehigh Valley on a conditioning assignment next week, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Ryan White has been sidelined since late-August after undergoing surgery to repair his left pectoral muscle, so he'll essentially need an abbreviated training camp in the minors in order to get up to speed. Once he get a handful of games under his belt and reports no lingering pain, White figures to be added to the Flyers' 23-man roster. If that comes to fruition, he'd likely serve as a fourth line player for Philadelphia.

Flyers' White: Could Be Back In Late December

News: General manager Ron Hextall said Ryan White (chest) is now likely to return in late December or early January "at the latest," Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Ryan White was initially projected to be out until February after undergoing surgery on his left pectoral muscle prior to training camp, but after he surprisingly resumed skating Tuesday, he'll be able to shave a full month off that timetable. The forward will still need several weeks in order to make up for the lost conditioning time.

Flyers' White Skates For First Time Since Surgery

News: Ryan White (chest) skated prior to Tuesday's practice, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: The 26-year-old Ryan White was projected to be out until February after requiring surgery on a torn left pectoral muscle in August, but his presence on the ice offers hope that he may be able to beat that timetable by a significant margin. While he's still likely to miss several more weeks at the bare minimum, the fact that White is progressing quicker than expected is a welcome development for a player the Flyers were counting on to be a key cog on the fourth line.

Flyers' White (Chest) Out For Five Months

News: Ryan White (chest) is expected to miss the next five months, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Ryan White had surgery on his left pectoral muscle in August and will need a substantial amount of time to recover. The 26-year-old's career had been gaining steam over the past few seasons, but this injury will put him on the shelf until late February. As a result, he should be off the radar in virtually every league.

Flyers' White Undergoes Surgery On Chest Muscle

News: Ryan White underwent surgery Wednesday to repair his left pectoral muscle.
Analysis: The Flyers haven't provided a timetable for a return for Ryan White, who signed with the organization on a one-year, two-way contract on Aug. 7. White, 26, totaled six points and 50 PIM in 52 games with the Canadiens last season. He was slated to compete for a fourth-line role with the Flyers in training camp, but those hopes could be dashed as a result of the procedure.

Flyers Ink White To One-Year, Two-Way Contract

News: Ryan White signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Flyers on Friday.
Analysis: Ryan White played 52 games with the Canadiens last season, posting two goals and four assists with the club along with 50 penalty minutes. He will likely slide in at center and battle for a spot on one of the bottom two lines for the Flyers.

Habs' White Replaces Prust

News: Ryan White replaced the injured Brandon Prust (upper body) as the fourth-line center in Thursday night's game against Columbus. He finished with one shot, two hits and two penalty minutes in 9:04 of ice time in a 3-2 loss.
Analysis: Ryan White hadn't played in a little over a week while the Habs' active lineup remained static through a three-game winning streak.

Canadiens' White Out With Flu Thursday

News: Ryan White (illness) will not play Thursday against the Penguins, Ren Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Habs' White Scores Again

News: Ryan White scored a goal for the second consecutive game and later assisted on one in Saturday night's 4-1 win over Carolina.
Analysis: Ryan White has been a ball of energy since returning from an upper body and has helped provide some offensive pressure from the Habs' fourth line. It's not a good time for the Olympic break for White, who's playing his best hockey of the season.

Canadiens' White Snaps 56-Game Goal Drought

News: In his second game back from injury, Ryan White scored his first goal of the season in the first period Thursday against the Canucks.
Analysis: An agitating, checking forward, Ryan White doesn't find the scoresheet often. His first goal of the season ends a 56-game drought, which dates back to January 2013. White's fantasy value remains primarily in his penalty minutes, not his offensive production. In 26 games with Montreal last year he scored just one goal. He has three points in 35 games this season.

Canadiens' White Returns

News: Ryan White returned to the lineup Tuesday night after missing 14 games due to an upper-body injury. He had a team-high six shots on goal, blocked two shots and had two hits in 13:55 in a 2-0 win over the Flames.
Analysis: Ryan White, who hadn't played since Jan. 2, centered the fourth line, a unit that played well and were given regular shifts. White typically does not get this much ice time.

Canadiens' White Returning Tuesday

News: Ryan White (upper body) will return to action Tuesday night against the Flames, Hockey Inside Out reports.
Analysis: Ryan White hasn't played since suffering the injury Jan. 2. He centered the fourth line during Tuesday's morning skate, flanked by Michael Bournival and the newly acquired Dale Weise.

Canadiens' White Practices

News: Ryan White (upper body) returned to the ice Friday and practiced with teammates, Hockey Inside Out reports.
Analysis: Ryan White, who has been sidelined since early January, is unlikely to return to game action prior to the Olympics break.
