News: Warren Peters signed a one-year, two-way contract with Pittsburgh on Sunday, according to the PIttsburgh Post-Gazette.
Analysis: Warren Peters notched five points in 58 NHL games last season with Minnesota and notched 70 hits in that span. He's likely ticketed for the AHL.

Peters Back For Minnesota

News: Warren Peters (upper body) will play against Nashville on Tuesday, Minneapolis Star Tribune writer Michael Russo reports.
Analysis: With five points on the year, Warren Peters' return means little beyond the depth he provides Minnesota.

Wild's Peters Will Join Team Monday

News: Warren Peters (pinched nerve) will join the team in Nashville on Monday, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Warren Peters sat out Sunday's game against Chicago, but it appears he could be ready to go Tuesday against the Predators. With just five points (1G, 4A) on the year, his eventual return will mean little in terms of fantasy.

Wild's Peters Out Sunday

News: Warren Peters (upper body) will not play Sunday against Chicago, the Wild's official Twitter page reports.
Analysis: Warren Peters went face-first into the wall after a hit by the Kings' Jordan Nolan on Saturday. Peters has just five points (1G, 4A) in his 55 games this season, and his status for Tuesday's game against the Predators is uncertain.

Wild's Peters Hurt in Saturday's Win

News: Warren Peters left Saturday's win over the Kings in the third period after he was injured going into the wall face-first after a hit by Jordan Nolan, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: His exact injury isn't clear, but it sounds like something that could cause him to miss a game or two.

Wild's Peters Sits Out Sunday's Game

News: Warren Peters was suspended for one game for cross-checking Blues forward David Backes on Saturday, NHL.com reports.
Analysis: Warren Peters, who is serving his suspension Sunday against the Bruins, was replaced in the Wild lineup by Chad Rau, who ended up opening the scoring in the second period of Sunday's contest.

Minny's Peters Ejected; Likely To Face Suspension

News: Warren Peters was ejected from Saturday's game after deliberately cross checking the Blues' David Backes in the side of the head. He will likely face suspension.
Analysis: He received a five for the cross check and a game misconduct. He hit Backes, who had supposedly taken a few runs at Wild players, directly across the right earhole of the helmet, snapping Backes' head and neck to the side before the Blues' winger dropped to the ice.

Wild Recall Peters

News: The Wild recalled Warren Peters from AHL Houston on Wednesday, according to the team's official Twitter page.
Analysis: Warren Peters will provide some depth up front with several forwards not 100 percent at the moment. Peters scored one point in nine games with the Wild earlier this season, so it's unlikely that he'll make enough of an impact to help your fantasy squad.

Wild Send Peters To AHL

News: Warren Peters has been sent back to Houston (AHL), the Wild's official site reports.
Analysis: His role was limited to the point where he wasn't really on the fantasy radar with the Wild anyway. Warren Peters will likely be back in Minnesota when injuries open up the need for another forward later this season.

Seven PIMs For Minnesota's Peters

News: Warren Peters was tagged for seven penalty minutes in just his second appearance of the season, a 5-2 loss at Los Angeles on Saturday. His boarding major late in the first frame led to a Kings power-play goal.
Analysis: We doubt that he's suddenly been transformed into an enforcer, so don't rush to claim him to beef up your team's toughness quotient. In any event, he won't see enough ice time to be of meaningful fantasy value.

Wild Calls Up Peters

News: Warren Peters has been called up from Houston of the AHL, according to Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Analysis: The team is heading on a five-game road trip and needs some depth. If he gets to play in any games, it will be on a bottom line and he won't get hardly any power play time.

Wild's Peters Sent to AHL

News: Peters was re-assigned to Houston of the AHL.
Analysis: He'd been a healthy scratch the last four games with the Wild. He'll likely stay in Houston for the AHL playoffs.

Minnesota Puts Peters On Waivers

News: Minnesota placed Peters on waivers Friday, Minneapolis Star Tribune writer Michael Russo reports.
Analysis: Given that he has just three points in his last 38 NHL appearances, it would be a bit of a surprise if he didn't clear. As Russo notes, however, the Wild might need to call him right back up due to Cal Clutterbuck's illness.

Wild's Peters Returns From Leg Injury

News: Peters (leg) had two hits while on the ice for 9:04 in Wednesday's loss to the Islanders.
Analysis: He left Monday's game against Chicago with a leg injury. He'll likely be sent back to Houston of the AHL when Chuck Kobasew returns from an illness.

Leg Injury for Wild's Peters

News: Peters left Monday's game against Chicago with a leg injury, the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Michael Russo reports.
Analysis: Peters has been bouncing back and forth between the AHL and NHL recently, but the Wild may have to start looking elsewhere for forward help if this injury turns out to be serious.

Wild Recall Peters

News: Peters has been recalled by the Wild, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: He's racking up some frequent flyer miles lately, getting sent up and down once in the last three days prior to Monday's recall. His role with the big club is purely a depth one.

Wild Reassign Peters

News: The Wild reassigned Peters to AHL Houston on Saturday, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The Wild are still lacking for depth thanks to a rash of injuries, so Peters could be back up at some point. He spent just one day with Minnesota this time around.

Wild Recall Peters

News: Peters has been recalled by the Wild, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
Analysis: With the rash of injuries to the Wild's pivots, he'll immediately slot into the lineup against Anaheim on Friday night. Ultimately, he's more of a checking-line filler type than anything else.

Wild Return Peters to AHL

News: Peters was sent back to Houston on Monday, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: He was only called up as a short-term injury replacement to begin with, so the return to the AHL shouldn't come as a surprise.

Peters Recalled By Wild

News: Peters has been recalled to Minnesota, Wild.com reports.
Analysis: With the Wild working through a few short-term injuries and a likely spot on the third or fourth line being temporary, Peters shouldn't have anything more than a depth role for Minnesota.

Stars demote center Peters

News: The Stars reassigned C Warren Peters to Texas of the AHL on Sunday.
Analysis: Peters has one goal and a plus-1 rating in 11 games with Dallas. Peters is merely organizational depth and can be ignored in Fantasy.

Stars call up Peters

News: The Stars have called up C Warren Peters from the AHL.
Analysis: Peters has now been up with Dallas on four separate occasions this season, managing one goal and a plus-2 in eight games. He continues to have no Fantasy value as just a lower-line forward when up with the Stars.

Peters up for a third stint

News: The Stars recalled center Warren Peters from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League on Wednesday. He had one goal in four games in two earlier stints with Dallas this season.
Analysis: Peters is only up with the Stars as long as they need a healthy body. Peters is merely organizational depth and can be ignored in Fantasy.

Stars call up Peters

News: The Stars have called up C Warren Peters from the AHL.
Analysis: Peters is a 27-year-old with just 16 NHL games under his belt. He is just organizational depth and has no Fantasy value at this time.

Peters activated from IR, demoted

News: The Stars activated C Warren Peters (face) from injured reserve Friday and sent him to Texas of the AHL.
Analysis: The 26-year-old Peters appeared in 16 games with the Flames last season, recording a goal and 12 penalty minutes. He also appeared in four playoff games. Peters has been more of a checking-line forward throughout his career, so he is merely a flier in leagues that reward heavily for PIM when healthy.
