Canes' Wallace Signs With Swedish Team

News: Tim Wallace has agreed to a contract with Orebro of the Swedish Hockey League.
Analysis: Tim Wallace amassed just two points and 17 penalty minutes over 28 games with the Hurricanes last season and at age 28, he wasn't seen as an ascending player in the organization. He may need a big season abroad to regain some relevance in the NHL.

Hurricanes' Wallace Returns Thursday

News: Tim Wallace (upper body) played 11:58 and was minus-1 against the Jets on Thursday night.
Analysis: After a two-game absence, the depth forward was healthy enough to play his usual limited role for the Hurricanes on Thursday and should be OK for the remaining regular season tilts.

Canes' Wallace (Upper Body) Scratched Saturday

News: Tim Wallace was scratched Saturday with an upper-body injury, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Analysis: With just one point in 22 games this season, Tim Wallace's absence is unlikely to be detrimental to many fantasy teams, but consider him day-to-day with the injury.

'Canes' Wallace Clears Waivers

Hurricanes Place Wallace On Waivers

News: The Hurricanes have placed Tim Wallace on waivers, the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Analysis: Tim Wallace has been used primarily on the fourth line so far this season and has a lone goal in 21 games. Should he clear waivers, he could be assigned to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL.

Hurricanes' Wallace (Undisclosed) Practices Wednesday

Hurricanes' Wallace Not Practicing Tuesday

News: Tim Wallace missed Tuesday's practice with an undisclosed injury.
Analysis: The Hurricanes won't play until Thursday against the Jets, giving Tim Wallace a couple of days to get over the mystery ailment. With one point, 14 hits and 15 penalty minutes through seven games, he's a virtual non-entity for fantasy purposes.

Wallace Recalled by Hurricanes

News: The Hurricanes have recalled Tim Wallace from AHL Charlotte, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Tim Wallace, who has recorded nine goals and 20 points in 43 AHL games this season, has been limited to 11 points in 73 career NHL games, so there's no reason to rush to the waiver wire here.

Tampa's Wallace Nets First NHL Goal

News: Tim Wallace netted his first NHL goal in Saturday's OT win over the Hurricanes.

Wallace To Make Lightning Debut Saturday

News: Tim Wallace will make his Lightning debut Saturday after being claimed on waivers from the New York Islanders this week according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
Analysis: Coach Guy Boucher confirmed the decision and the once-former Penguin will face his old team for the first time in a Lightning uniform. That's about as exciting as this news gets. Tim Wallace has one point in 31 games played this season and should not be on anyone's fantasy roster.

Wallace Claimed By Lightning

News: The Lightning have claimed Tim Wallace off waivers from the Islanders, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Tim Wallace played in 31 games with the Islanders this season, recording just one assist and six penalty minutes. With numbers like that, he belongs nowhere near fantasy lineups, though he has obviously caught the eye of the Lightning.

Isles' Wallace On Waivers

News: Tim Wallace was placed on waivers Wednesday.
Analysis: He's likely headed to Bridgeport in the coming days, as it seems to be a good bet that he'll pass through waivers without interest from another club.

Isles' Wallace Not Providing Much Offense

News: Since his recall from the AHL Tim Wallace has yet to score a goal in 13 games.
Analysis: Tim Wallace has been moved between the third and fourth lines but provides very little offensive value and is probably ticketed back to Bridgeport once some of the Isles forwards return from injury.

Pens Recall Wallace

News: The Pens recalled Wallace before Sunday's game against the Caps, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Wallace spent nearly as much time in the box (5:00) as he did on the ice (7:42), after he was selected to exact revenge on David Steckel in a fight in the third period. It was Steckel who originally caused Sidney Crosby's concussion with a hit.

Wallace sent back to AHL

News: The Penguins have e-assigned RW Tim Wallace to the AHL.
Analysis: Wallace played in one game in this trip up to Pittsburgh, his first of the season. He managed only 5:50 of ice time and remains a non-factor in Fantasy play as just organizational depth.

Penguins recall two from AHL

News: The Penguins recalled Mark Letestu and Tim Wallace from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Friday.
Analysis: Letestu has a goal in five games with the Penguins. Wallace had two assists in 16 games with the Penguins last season. He has not played in the NHL this season. Both of these guys are just organiztional depth at this point and can continue to be ignored in all Fantasy formats.
