Jets' Enstrom Has Shoulder Surgery

News: Tobias Enstrom underwent shoulder surgery on Monday, tsn.ca reports.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom, who notched 23 points and 36 PIM in 60 games for the Jets this past season, now has the full offseason to recovery from the procedure and is in line to be ready for training camp this coming September.

Jets' Enstrom To Return Saturday

News: Tobias Enstrom (upper body) will play in Saturday's regular-season finale against the Flames.
Analysis: After missing the last three games, Tobias Enstrom will get a tune-up before the beginning of the playoffs. It's possible he doesn't get his normal allotment of ice time, as the Jets don't have much to play for Saturday afternoon.

Jets' Enstrom Set To Miss Another

News: Tobias Enstrom (upper body) is in line to miss Thursday's game against the Avalanche, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom was skating next to the suspended Dustin Byfuglien as part of a non-regular pairing during the Jets' morning skate, which is enough evidence to suggest he won't be playing Thursday. The upper-body injury will cost Enstrom a third consecutive game, but his presence on the ice Thursday gives him a shot at playing in Saturday's regular-season finale against the Flames.

Jets' Enstrom Out Tuesday

News: Tobias Enstrom (upper body) won't play Tuesday against the Blues, Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: While Tobias Enstrom will sit out a second straight game, coach Paul Maurice indicated the blueliner is still being viewed as day-to-day. Enstrom is expected to resume skating Wednesday, after which the Jets might have a better gauge on whether he'll be able to play in either or both of the team's remaining two regular-season contests.

Jets' Enstrom Remains Day-To-Day

News: Tobias Enstrom (upper body) remains day-to-day.
Analysis: "(He's) where he was yesterday," coach Paul Maurice noted of Tobias Enstrom on Monday. "We'll monitor him day by day here, and as soon as he feels strong enough we'll get him back on the ice in practice and see how he feels." With Enstrom out, Ben Chiarot is slated to re-join the Jets' lineup Monday against the Wild.

Jets' Enstrom Considered Day-To-Day

News: Tobias Enstrom (upper body) is day-to-day, Jim Toth of 680 CJOB Sports reports.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom left Saturday's game against the Canucks in the third period, and he was unable to return to the contest. If Enstrom can't play in Monday's game against the Wild, he'll likely be replaced in the lineup by Ben Chiarot (hand), who was activated Sunday from injured reserve. Monday's game is a must-win for the Jets, so Enstrom will surely do everything in his power to get back on the ice.

Jets' Enstrom Exits With Injury

News: Tobias Enstrom appeared to suffer an upper-body injury late in the third period of Saturday's win over the Canucks and didn't return, 680 CJOB Sports reports.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom headed to the locker room after he was tangled up with the Canucks' Derek Dorsett and fell awkwardly to the ice. Per Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press, it looked as though Enstrom hurt his shoulder, but the Jets have yet to disclose the nature of the blueliner's injury. He should be viewed as day-to-day until further updates are provided.

Jets' Enstrom Adds Helper On Man Advantage

News: Tobias Enstrom contributed a power-play assist to Monday's 4-1 win over the Oilers.
Analysis: The Jets, winners of five straight games, are giving Tobias Enstrom an average of 3:12 PP TOI per game this season, and he's used that time to produce seven man-advantage points. Arguably more than any other peripheral stat, Enstrom is helping his fantasy owners with a plus-10 rating. The veteran blueliner dealt with a lower-body injury that crept up on him last November and lasted into the New Year, but he appears no worse for the wear as he's been moderately productive and has three assists over the past five games.

Jets' Enstrom Takes Maintenance Day

News: Although Tobias Enstrom did not participate in practice on Monday, he isn't in any danger of missing Tuesday's contest against the Sharks, Tim Campbell of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom had to leave Saturday's game against the Lightning briefly to have his face stitched up after being hit hard from behind by Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov. While he may be a bit banged up at the moment, Enstrom will be in the Jets' lineup for Tuesday's game against San Jose. He's tallied four goals and 15 assists in 50 games this season.

Jets' Enstrom Grabs Two Assists In Win

News: Tobias Enstrom tallied two assists in Monday's 5-4 win over the Oilers.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom hasn't chipped in much offensively this season as he's recorded just four points in his last 15 games after the two helpers on Monday. With just 17 points in 40 games, the blueliner is probably best served in leagues with deeper formats.

Jets' Enstrom Supplies Goal In Win

News: Tobias Enstrom notched his third goal of the season in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Wild.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom has two 50-point seasons on his resume, but he's taken a backseat offensively since the franchise moved to Winnipeg, due mostly to injuries combined with a decline in skill. With 15 points over 37 games this season, Enstrom is on pace to deliver the lowest scoring output of his career in a non-lockout year.

Jets' Enstrom Streaking Since Return

News: Tobias Enstrom picked up two assists and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 8-2 mangling of the Panthers, giving him a thee-game point streak since returning from a lower-body injury.
Analysis: All four of his points over the course of this little streak are helpers; though his fantasy owners would surely like to see more goals, it's hard to complain. It would, however, be nice to see Tobias Enstrom shoot more, as he's put only three pucks on goal in these three games and is averaging just barely more than one shot per game for the season.

Jets' Enstrom (Lower Body) Set To Play Saturday

News: Coach Paul Maurice confirmed Tobias Enstrom (lower body) would be activated from injured reserve and return to the lineup Saturday against the Kings, Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: Expected to be out until late-January, Tobias Enstrom will be back in action a couple weeks ahead of schedule after he was able to skate without incident during the Jets' morning session. He'll be plugged back in on the team's top defensive pairing next to Zach Bogosian.

Jets' Enstrom (Lower Body) Could Be Back Saturday

News: Tobias Enstrom (lower body) skated as part of a defensive pairing Saturday and could play later in the evening against the Kings, TSN's Shane Hnidy reports.
Analysis: The Jets still have Tobias Enstrom listed on injured reserve, so the team would need to make a roster move to facilitate his return. Enstrom, who has been out since Nov. 23, resumed skating last week and should clearly be considered day-to-day at this stage if he doesn't suit up Saturday. The 30-year-old had a goal and eight assists over 22 games prior to suffering the injury.

Jets' Enstrom Skates Friday

News: Tobias Enstrom (lower body) resumed skating Friday, the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: It only amounts to a preliminary step in the recovery process for Tobias Enstrom. He's not expected to return until late January at the earliest.

Jets' Enstrom Off Ice Until Early January

News: Tobias Enstrom (lower body) won't resume skating until early January, the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: Based on that timeframe, it would seem that initial three-week recovery timetable the Jets gave to Tobias Enstrom back on Dec. 4 could be close to doubled. The Jets' defense is in a dire state at the moment, as the team's top four blueliners are projected to be out until at least mid-January.

Jets Rule Out Enstrom For At Least Three Weeks

News: Coach Paul Maurice announced Thursday that Tobias Enstrom (lower body) would be out for at least three more weeks, Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: The Jets seemed to be viewing Tobias Enstrom as day-to-day despite the fact that he's been out for more than a week, but his apparent lack of progress prompted the team to reevaluate him Monday, when it was then determined a return wasn't forthcoming. It looks like the Jets will be down two of their top-four defensemen for a while, as Zach Bogosian (lower body) was ruled out for four-to-six weeks Thursday.

Jets Move Enstrom To IR

News: Tobias Enstrom (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom was on the ice earlier Tuesday for a skate, so the move to IR doesn't necessarily indicate a lengthy absence is in store. The blueliner has been out for over a week, so the Jets could activate him in advance of Wednesday's game versus the Oilers if he demonstrates enough progress during the team's morning skate.

Jets To Reevalute Enstrom On Monday

News: Tobias Enstrom (lower body) will be reevaluated Monday, the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: The lower-body injury has kept Tobias Enstrom out of each of the last three games, and while the Jets are still labeling the blueliner as day-to-day, it's hard to be optimistic about his chances of playing in the team's next match Wednesday versus the Oilers until he resumes skating. Perhaps Monday's checkup with team doctors will shed more light on when the Jets can expect Enstrom back in their lineup.

Jets' Enstrom Likely To Sit Friday

News: Tobias Enstrom (lower body) looks doubtful to play Friday against the Bruins, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom wasn't on the ice for the Jets' morning skate, indicating the lower-body injury is still proving troublesome. He'll be forced to miss his third straight game and it will be difficult to predict when he may return until he resumes skating.

Jets' Enstrom Out Again Wednesday

News: Tobias Enstrom (lower body) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Sabres, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: While Tobias Enstrom will miss his second straight game, coach Paul Maurice was optimistic that the blueliner would be ready to play Friday versus the Bruins. He'll likely need to get in a good skate Thursday or Friday morning before the Jets would allow him to return to action. Adam Pardy will join the Winnipeg lineup in his stead once again Wednesday.

Jets' Enstrom Out Tuesday

News: Tobias Enstrom will not play in Tuesday's game against the Blue Jackets due to a lower-body injury, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: It's not clear what type of setback Tobias Enstrom is dealing with, but he's considered day-to-day. Grant Clitsome will take Enstrom's place in the lineup.

Jets' Enstrom Finally Registers First Goal

News: Tobias Enstrom scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's shootout win over Ottawa. It came on the power play.
Analysis: It's not like he's not getting points -- he actually has eight assists in the previous 14 games. He did score 10 goals a couple times, though, so we'd like to see a few more markers.

Jets' Enstrom Sets Up Two Goals In Loss

News: Tobias Enstrom assisted on both of the Jets' two goals in Friday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom now has six points (all assists) in seven games this season, to go with a minus-1 rating. Playing the point on the top power-play unit and averaging 23:49 of ice time per game, Enstrom will continue to produce offense. After a somewhat disappointing 30-point season in 2013-14, expect Enstrom to return to the 40- to 50-point range in 2014-15.

Jets' Enstrom Gets Two Assists In 15-Second Span

News: Tobias Enstrom collected two assists in Thursday's season-opening victory over the Coyotes.
Analysis: The two helpers came within a 15-second span of each other, with the same three players -- Blake Wheeler, Tobias Enstrom and Zach Bogosian -- all receiving a point in both scenarios. Jacob Trouba projects to be the Jets' most fantasy-relevant blueliner this season, but with two 50-point campaigns on his resume, Enstrom shouldn't be dismissed.
