Rask, Bruins Smother Wings In Game 3

News: Tuukka Rask stopped all 23 Detroit shots on net in Tuesday's 3-0 Game 3 victory.
Analysis: Typical Tuukka Rask -- in three playoff games, he's allowed two goals. There aren't many goalies who inspire more confidence than the 27-year-old Finn right now.

Bruins' Rask Stops 34 In Win

News: Tuukka Rask made 34 saves on 35 shots in a Game 2 win over the Red Wings on Sunday.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask has only let in one goal in both games so far, although the series is now tied up at one game apiece. No surprise here from the NHL's best goalie.

Rask, Bruins Drop Game 1

News: Tuukka Rask allowed one goal on 24 shots in Friday's 1-0 loss to Detroit in Game 1 of the teams' Atlantic Division semifinal series.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask was beaten late in the third period on a tremendous individual effort from Pavel Datsyuk he may not have seen completely. Rask played well in the game, but so did his counterpart, Jimmy Howard. Rask is the frontrunner for the Vezina Trophy and the Bruins will ride their star goalie every night of the playoffs.

Bruins' Rask Makes 20 Saves In Win

News: Tuukka Rask stopped all but one of the 21 shots he faced in Saturday's win over the Sabres. He also picked up the second assist on a David Krejci power-play goal.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask is now 36-15-6 on the season with a .930 save percentage and a 2.04 GAA. He leads the NHL with seven shutouts and is a frontrunner for the Vezina Trophy. Good job if you drafted him in fantasy hockey this season.

Bruins Roll With Rask On Saturday

News: Tuukka Rask will start Saturday's game against the Sabres.
Analysis: The Bruins will roll with Tuukka Rask -- who gave way to Chad Johnson in Thursday's shootout loss to the Jets -- on Saturday against Buffalo, but we wouldn't be surprised to see Johnson get the nod Sunday against the Devils, in the team's regular-season finale.

Bruins Rest Rask

News: Tuukka Rask gave way to Chad Johnson in Thursday's shootout loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Once the playoffs start, Tuukka Rask will be locked in as the B's starter in goal, but with the Bruins resting key players selectivity down the stretch, we'd expect Rask to give up another start to Johnson -- either Saturday against Buffalo or Sunday against New Jersey -- to close out the team's regular-season slate.

Bruins Expected To Start Rask

News: Tuukka Rask was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and is expected to receive the starting nod Thursday against the Jets, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask lost for the second time in three contests Tuesday against the Wild, giving up three goals on 24 shots before falling in the shootout. He's still been magnificent in the net for the last month-plus, and remains worth using on any night he's in goal.

Bruins' Rask Loses In Shootout

News: Tuukka Rask stopped just 21 of 24 in Tuesday's shootout loss to the Wild.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask hasn't exactly looked sharp as the season's wound down, allowing three goals in three of his last four starts. Still, that won't put much of a damper on his Vezina-worthy campaign.

Bruins Go With Rask Thursday

News: Tuukka Rask will indeed be in the crease Thursday against the Wild.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask led the Bruins onto the ice for pregame warmups and will enter the contest in search of his 36th win of the season.

Bruins' Rask Stymies Flyers

News: Tuukka Rask stopped 24 of 26 shot attempts in Saturday's win over the Flyers.
Analysis: It's just another day at the office for Tuukka Rask, who could have the inside track on his first career Vezina Trophy once the season concludes. He's compiled a 35-15-5 record to go along with a 2.04 GAA and .930 save percentage in 56 outings.

Bruins' Rask Stops 17 In Loss

News: Tuukka Rask allowed three goals on 20 shots Wednesday night against the Red Wings.
Analysis: It was an uncharacteristic performance for Tuukka Rask, as he registered a save percentage under .900 for the first time in his last eight appearances. The netminder is now 34-15-5 on the season, and will continue to get the majority of the starts as the Bruins get ready for the postseason.

Bruins Expected To TurnTo Rask Wednesday

News: Tuukka Rask was the first goalie off the ice Wednesday morning, suggesting that he is in line to start the Bruins' evening tilt against the Red Wings.
Analysis: Assuming Tuukka Rask gets Wednesday's start, then it wouldn't surprise us to see the B's turn to Chad Johnson for Thursday's tilt against the Maple Leafs.

Bruins' Rask Stops 49 In Win

News: Tuukka Rask made 49 saves on 52 shots in a shootout win over the Flyers on Sunday.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask and the Bruins have been red hot, and Rask could be en route to a Vezina Trophy. The only thing that could limit his fantasy value down the stretch is if Boston starts resting him for the playoffs, and the Bruins have basically clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

Bruins Start Rask On Sunday

News: Tuukka Rask will be in net for the Bruins when they face the Flyers on Sunday, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask has been nothing short of sensational recently, having won four of his last five while allowing just five goals in that span. He is now 33-14-5 with a 2.01 GAA and .931 save percentage through 53 games this year.

Tuukka Rask

Rask, Bruins Silence Chicago

News: Tuukka Rask smothered all 28 shots the Blackhawks put on him in Thursday's 3-0 victory -- his seventh shutout of the season.
Analysis: He already led the NHL in shutouts coming in, so Tuukka Rask was just padding his lead with this one. The Finnish minder's given up an average of one goal per game over his last six starts, and he's won eight of nine. Not bad.

Bruins' Rask Confirmed For Thursday

Bruins' Rask Likely To Receive Start Thursday

News: Tuukka Rask was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and looks set to start Thursday against the Blackhawks, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask might have seen his seven-game winning streak come to an end his last time out Monday against the Habs, but coach Claude Julien won't hesitate to turn back to him in a rematch of last season's Stanley Cup Finals participants. Look for the Blackhawks to counter with their No. 1 goalie, Corey Crawford.

Bruins' Rask Lets In One In Loss

News: Tuukka Rask made 21 saves on 22 shots, but took a shootout loss against the Canadiens on Monday.
Analysis: Tuukka Rask had won seven in a row coming in, and this marked his fifth consecutive game giving up two or fewer goals, so he's not giving his fantasy owners any reason to fret.

Rask Expected To Start For Bruins On Monday

News: Tuukka Rask was the first goalie off the ice Monday and looks likely to start against the Canadiens.
Analysis: Although backup Chad Johnson has picked up three of the last five starts for the Bruins, Tuukka Rask has still maintained a seven-game winning streak despite jockeying in and out of the lineup. Coach Claude Julien's willingness to turn the net over to Johnson on occasion isn't an indictment of Rask, but rather a desire to rest the No. 1 goalie in preparation for the playoffs. So long as Rask is confirmed as the starter on a given night, continue to use him without a second thought.

Bruins' Rask Wins Seventh Straight

News: Tuukka Rask turned away 31 of 33 shots (.939) in Saturday's 4-2 win at Phoenix.
Analysis: If we come up with a reason why you should NOT start him at every opportunity, we'll notify you. Until then, ride his seven-game winning streak while it lasts.
