Bolts' Stralman: 10 Points In Last Nine Games

News: Anton Stralman picked up an assist in Tuesday's win over Buffalo. He now has 10 points, including eight assists, in his last nine games.
Analysis: He's back on track after a lull in production and you should be taking full advantage. He's on pace for his first-ever 40 point season.

Bolts' Stralman Collects Two Points

News: Anton Stralman tallied a goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: Anton Stralman doesn't score many goals, but he's collected two in his last five games -- a span that's included three multi-point efforts. The defenseman's late season scoring surge puts him just a goal and two points away from matching his career bests in those categories, both set in the 2009-10 season.

Bolts' Stralman Contributes Two Assists

News: Anton Stralman dished out two assists in Saturday's win over the Coyotes.
Analysis: That's back-to-back multi-point games for the 28-year-old, who has racked up seven points in his last five games. He's now got 30 points (four goals) and an impressive plus-23 rating in 61 games on the season. Averaging 22:06 of ice time and recording 10 power-play points, the former Ranger is an all-around solid fantasy option.

Bolts' Stralman Hits Scoresheet Twice

News: Anton Stralman scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Anaheim.
Analysis: The Swedish defender now has five points over the last four games and 28 in 60 total contests this season. Anton Stralman has been a nice complementary piece to Victor Hedman on Tampa's blue line and with 22 games remaining, should be able to surpass his career best of 34 points set in 2009-10 as a Blue Jacket.

Bolts' Stralman: Twp Assists in Loss

News: Anton Stralman set up two Tampa goals in a 6-3 loss to St. Louis.
Analysis: He had been quiet offensively of late, but this outburst is just what the doctor ordered ... at least for his owners. His 25 points this season project to a new career mark in the mid-30s. Take advantage -- he's a solid depth defender.

Bolts' Stralman Poised For More Ice Time

News: Anton Stralman is poised to see an increase in ice time in all situations now that Matt Carle is scheduled for surgery on a torn abductor muscle.
Analysis: Carle is slated to be out six-to-eight weeks, so the pillars on the Bolts' blue line will see extra duty to support some of the younger players. Anton Stralman should be able to sustain his current offensive pace in this situation and that makes him a solid fantasy activation until season's end.

Bolts' Stralman: Eight Points In Last Nine Games

News: Anton Stralman had a goal and assist in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over Colorado. The assist came on the power play.
Analysis: He'd gone through a dry spell there before putting up eight points, including seven assists, in his last nine games. Those of you who held onto him have been well rewarded.

Bolts' Stralman Dishes Out Two Helpers

News: Anton Stralman dished out a pair of assists in Monday's 7-3 loss to the Flyers.
Analysis: Anton Stralman's been getting on the scoresheet with more regularity of late, as he notched his fifth and sixth assists in his last six games on Monday. The 28-year-old has now gotten to the 20-point mark for just the second time in his career, and besting his old mark of 34 seems within reach.

Bolts' Stralman: Four Assists In Last Three

News: Anton Stralman picked up a power-play assist in Sunday's win over the Lightning.
Analysis: Anton Stralman has four assists over his last three contests, providing some hope that his early-season successes weren't entirely an aberration. The 28-year-old's modest career-best point total of 34 would seem to suggest otherwise, however, so it's probably best to temper any expectations of him rediscovering the scoring touch he displayed in October.

Bolts' Stralman Claims Two Assists

News: Anton Stralman picked up two assists and finished with a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's win over the Sabres.
Analysis: After posting no points and a neutral rating over his previous eight games, Anton Stralman's performance versus the Sabres amounted to a major breakout. Even so, it appears that the October scoring surge Stralman delivered was more of an aberration than the norm. He's tallied only seven points over the last two months, spanning a total of 28 games.

Bolts' Stralman: One Point In Last 11 Games

News: Anton Stralman has just one point -- an assist -- in his last 11 games.
Analysis: An offensive slow down was inevitable, but this is downright sluggish. Keep him on your bench. And scan the wire for a replacement -- you will likely need to find someone else if this slump continues.

Bolts' Stralman: First Point In Six Games

News: Anton Stralman picked up a power-play assist in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Hurricanes. It was his first point in six games.
Analysis: Anton Stralman has 14 points and a plus-16 rating in 30 games this season. His early pace has indeed slowed, but he's still delivering some fantasy value in multiple categories.

Bolts' Stralman: Two Assists Snap Seven-Game Slump

News: Anton Stralman set up both Tampa goals in a 2-1 victory over Minnesota on Saturday. They are his first points since Nov. 8.
Analysis: He'd been mired in a seven-game slump but still has 12 points, including 10 assists, in 22 games. Mind you, he has just three of those points in his last 11 games, so his season numbers are deceiving.

Stralman Nabs Goal In Win

News: Anton Stralman tallied his second goal of the season in Saturday's 7-4 win over Columbus.
Analysis: Anton Stralman's tally came when the Bolts were on the power play, where the blueliner has surprisingly averaged 2:29 of ice time this season. Despite providing little in the way of offensive utility in his previous three seasons with the Rangers, Stralman has improbably tallied 10 points in his first 14 games with the Bolts. Don't expect Stralman to uphold that level of scoring production, but since he's surrounded by arguably the best collection of offensive talent in the NHL, he'll have a legitimate chance at emerging as a 30-point player for the Bolts this season.

Lightning's Stralman Expected To Play Saturday

News: Anton Stralman (undisclosed) is expected to play Saturday against the Blue Jackets, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: The 28-year-old defenseman missed the second half of the second period Thursday with an undisclosed injury, but he returned in the third period and it does not appear as though he's in any real danger of missing Saturday's tilt. Anton Stralman has been outstanding so far this season, notching one goal and eight assists with a plus-15 rating through 13 games.

Bolts' Stralman: Seven Points In First Nine Games

News: Anton Stralman scored a goal and added an assist in Tampa's 7-2 loss to Minnesota on Saturday night.
Analysis: Seven points in nine games -- those are outstanding numbers for this steady top-four defender. He'll have increased defensive responsibilities with Victor Hedman on injured reserve, but it doesn't look like it's interfering with his offense. Take advantage.

Stralman A Nice Fit In Tampa

News: Anton Stralman picked up another assist, this time in Tuesday's loss to New Jersey. He has three helpers in four games this season.
Analysis: His previous best offensive season came in 2009-10 when he potted 34 points for Columbus. He seems to be a good fit in Tampa's top-four and should be a staple in deep fantasy formats.

Strong Performance By Bolts' Stralman

News: Anton Stralman played a strong two-way game Monday night against Montreal. He picked up an assist, finished plus-3 and saved a goal with a sparkling defensive play.
Analysis: He must have played goal as a kid, as Anton Stralman laid out one of the best two-pad stacks we've seen in a while, goalie or not. He sure looks good in blue and white, and is starting to look like more than just a fantasy sleeper.

Lightning Sign Stralman

News: Anton Stralman has signed a five-year, $22.5 million deal with the Lightning, TSN.ca reports.
Analysis: Anton Stralman gets a nice payday from the Lightning, who'd made a point of freeing up cap space in advance of free agency. Though he notched just 13 points in 81 games this past season, Stralman impressed during the Rangers' playoff run, and it's worth noting that he did total 34 points for Columbus in 2009-10. Given the terms of his deal, it's clear that Tampa Bay has big plans for the right-shooting blueliner.

Report: Rangers Offer Stralman $4 Mil Per Season?

News: The Rangers have offered Anton Stralman a three- or four-year contract worth about $4 million a season, according to NBC Sports.
Analysis: Anton Stralman is a dream for those who monitor advanced stats and he played well in the postseason. The market for defenders is thin this free agent period, so Stralman will get a truckload of coin.

Rangers' Stralman Moving Target?

News: Anton Stralman registered a plus-4 rating with five points -- all assists -- in 25 games this postseason.
Analysis: Not too shabby, considering it took the veteran 81 games to tally 13 points (one goal) in the regular season. Anton Stralman, who became a top-four defenseman during the course of the Blueshirts' season en route to the Stanley Cup finals, is likely to be one of the most courted unrestricted free-agent blueliners of the summer following his impressive shutdown performance in the playoffs. Although the 27-year-old's all-around game has really improved, he's not likely to reproduce the 34-point campaign he had with Columbus in 2009-10.

Rangers' Stralman Postseason Numbers Cooling Off

News: Anton Stralman has been held without a point in seven consecutive games.
Analysis: Although he's logging top-four minutes nowadays, it appears his five assists in the first 13 games of the postseason was an aberration. The 27-year-old Swede, who collected a plus-3 with 13 points in 81 regular season games, is much more known for his stay-at-home play, so this shouldn't come as a surprise to most fantasy owners.

Stralman to Join Rangers' Power Play?

News: Anton Stralman took line rushes with the power play unit in Sunday's practice, reports Andrew Gross of The Record.
Analysis: This is a bit surprising considering the odds-on favorite to replace an ineffective John Moore on the power play has been Marc Staal, especially since head coach Alain Vigneault flat out answered no to Anton Stralman joining the man advantage yesterday. There's no guarantee Stralman plays on the power play in Game 2, but it's looking more likely.

Rangers' Stralman Comfortable in Top Four

News: Anton Stralman picked up an assist in Wednesday's Game 7 victory over Philadelphia.
Analysis: The helper came on Benoit Pouliot's eventual game-winning goal and marked the Swede defenseman's second point (both assists) in as many games. Although Anton Stralman is much more known for his stay-at-home prowess, he's entrenched as a top-four defenseman and has been getting some solid looks as a result. The 27-year-old finished the seven game series versus Philadelphia with six shots, two assists, four penalty minutes and a plus-3 rating.

Rangers' Stralman Nets Rare Points

News: Anton Stralman picked up a pair of assists and went plus-3 in Tuesday's win over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: Nice to see, but these are rare points for Anton Stralman -- he's got just 13 in 79 games this season. Though he does have some offensive skill, that's not really his role on this Rangers team.
