Canadiens' Parros Fills In Saturday

News: George Parros played Saturday for the first time since Mar. 5. He had one fight, one shot on goal and a blocked shot in 6:31 in a 4-1 win over Florida.
Analysis: George Parros has been comfortable in the press box for most of the month, but the Habs tweaked the lineup Saturday because they were without Tomas Plekanec (personal).

Habs' Parros Struggling To Crack Lineup

News: George Parros currently has a minus-5 rating and 56 PIM in 16 games this season.
Analysis: George Parros hasn't played much up through the Olympic break, but he can certainly provide some extra PIM to teams in need when he's in the lineup.

Habs' Parros Draws Back In Saturday

News: George Parros (concussion) will be in the lineup Saturday vs. the Blackhawks.
Analysis: George Parros was cleared for a return to action Monday, but he's sat out in the two games since that time with coach Michel Therrien opting for a more offensive-minded lineup. He'll draw back in Saturday, however, in what will be his first game since Dec. 14.

Habs' Parrors Caught In Numbers Game

News: George Parros (concussion) did not suit up Wednesday night because coach Michel Therrien went with an extra defenseman in the active lineup, the Montreal Gazette reports.
Analysis: George Parros had been cleared for contact Tuesday and participated in the pregame warmup. His return is forthcoming, but more than Parros's grit, the Canadiens could use another goal-scorer.

Habs' Parros Out Wednesday

News: Updating a previous report, it appears George Parros (concussion) will not play Wednesday, Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette reports.
Analysis: Although all signs in pregame warmups pointed to a return to the lineup for George Parros, it looks as though coach Michel Therrien wasn't completely comfortable on signing off with the forward's return to the lineup. There's been no indication that he suffered any sort of last-minute setback during the warmups, and it may in fact be the case where Parros is a healthy scratch. His return to the lineup continues to appear forthcoming.

Habs' Parros Skates

News: George Parros (concussion) skated on his own Wednesday morning, Renaud Lavoie of RDS reports.
Analysis: This is really great news for George Parros, who suffered his second concussion of the season Saturday. It's usually the second concussion in a short period that ends up holding players out for extended periods of time, so the fact that he's already back on the ice means his balance and vision isn't being affected too much. There's still no timetable for his return, but it looks like it could be a matter of weeks rather than months.

Habs' Parros: Another Concussion?

News: George Parros left Saturday's game in the first period after a punch from the Islanders' Eric Boulton knocked him off his skates. He needed help to get up and went to the dressing room. He didn't return, but was described as "OK" after the game by coach Michel Therrien.
Analysis: He said he was fine, but it wasn't that long ago that he left the ice on a stretcher. Concussions are cumulative, so while this didn't appear bad, it could be dangerous. Reserve him or find another enforcer for your sin bin points.

News: George Parros (concussion) skated Friday, the Montreal Gazette's Dave Stubbs reports.
