Canucks' D. Sedin Sets Up Brother Twice In Loss

News: Daniel Sedin assisted on a pair of goals by his brother Henrik -- one on the power play, one at even strength -- and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Sharks.
Analysis: Unfortunately, other than a Daniel Sedin-fueled second-period flurry, the Canucks weren't able to keep up offensively in this one. Daniel's goal-scoring remains way down from its old levels, but he's been piling up assists lately, having tallied 10 points (nine of them helpers) in his last eight games.

Canucks' D.Sedin Continues Productive Play In Loss

News: Daniel Sedin netted a goal on one of his four shot attempts in Thursday's loss to the Sabres.
Analysis: Daniel Sedin is currently sitting on a season-long six-game point streak, during which he's accumulated a goal and seven assists. It's helped him make February his most productive month to date, while also permanently locking him into fantasy lineups in even the shallowest of formats. Continue to keep him active and ride the wave.

Canucks' D.Sedin Dishes Out Two Assists

News: Daniel Sedin dished out two assists in Friday's loss to New Jersey.
Analysis: That's back-to-back two-point games for Daniel Sedin, who now has 51 points in 58 games this season. Considering he already has more points than he had last season and sits seventh in the NHL with a whopping 38 this season, the 34-year-old should be in your lineup every game.

Canucks' D. Sedin Plays Assistant Thursday

News: Daniel Sedin let his brother do the scoring Thursday, dishing out a pair of assists -- one on the man advantage -- on goals by Henrik in a 5-4 shootout win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Usually, it's Henrik setting up Daniel, but the roles were reversed in this one. With 49 points in 57 games, he's a single point behind his brother and well ahead of last year's disappointing scoring pace. The twins should easily break 60 points, and 70 wouldn't be surprising.

Canucks' Sedin Scores Twice Wednesday

News: Daniel Sedin recorded two goals in Wednesday's 5-4 OT win over the Blackhawks.
Analysis: Daniel Sedin's second tally gave the Canucks the win in overtime, and was just his 13th of the season. He's not quite the elite goal scorer he was under Alain Vigneault's coaching staff, but he has seen a significant uptick in production over last year's numbers.

Canucks' D.Sedin Strikes On Power Play Vs. Pens

News: Daniel Sedin netted a power-play goal in Saturday's win over the Penguins.
Analysis: While Daniel Sedin's 10 goals on the season are a letdown, his 32 assists are still 10th most among all NHl players. He's producing at close to a point-per-game pace and has recorded at least one point in four of his last five games. If the Canucks hope to make the postseason, the Sedin twins are going to need to be on top of their game, making Daniel a likely dependable fantasy option down the stretch.

Canucks' Sedin Shoots Season-High 10 Times In Loss

News: Daniel Sedin collected his 10th goal of the season and fired off a season-high 10 shots in Sunday's loss to the Wild.
Analysis: Considering Daniel Sedin had attempted 10 shots over his previous five games combined, it's safe to say that Sunday's eruption was rather unexpected. Instead, Sedin should be counted upon primarily for his high assist totals, which drive most of his fantasy value. His 31 helpers on the season place him just outside of the league's top 10.

Two Helpers For Canucks' D. Sedin

News: After going two games without hitting the scoresheet, Daniel Sedin got back at it with a pair of power-play assists Thursday against the Flyers.
Analysis: He and his twin brother led the way in this one, just like the good old days. Though he's not an 80-point scorer anymore, 70 remains a real possibility.

Canucks' D.Sedin Dishes Out Three Assists

News: Daniel Sedin dished out a trio of assists in Saturday's win over the Red Wings.
Analysis: Daniel Sedin now has nine points in his last six games, giving him eight goals and 35 points in 37 games on the season. While he's only on pace for 17 goals, the 34-year-old is still on track for 75 points, making him a must-start every game. He's been an all-around fantasy stud this season, notching three power-play tallies, three game-winning goals, 91 shots on goal, and a tidy plus-5 rating.

Canucks' D. Sedin Nets Goal, Assist In Lost

News: Daniel Sedin scored a goal and grabbed an assist in Monday's win over Phoenix.
Analysis: Daniel Sedin has been surging lately, putting up four points in the Canucks' last two games combined. Sedin now has eight goals and 22 assists with a plus-4 rating through 33 games this season. As long as he remains healthy, Sedin is a must start every night he's in action.

Canucks' D.Sedin Picks Up Two Assists

News: Daniel Sedin picked up a pair of assists in Saturday's win over the Flames.
Analysis: A much needed offensive outburst from Daniel Sedin, who had gone three straight games without appearing on the scoresheet. Sedin now has seven goals and 28 points in 32 games, to go with a plus-3 rating. He should be in your lineup every night he's in action.

Canucks' D.Sedin Collects Assist Sunday

News: Daniel Sedin picked up an assist and was a plus-2 in Sunday's loss to Ottawa.
Analysis: The beat goes on for Daniel Sedin, who has racked up three goals and five points in his last four games. While he is on pace for only 20 goals, Sedin's 26 points in 28 games make him a must start every night the Canucks take to the ice. He could reach the 80-point mark for the fourth time in his career this season.

Canucks' D. Sedin Snaps Goal Slump

News: Daniel Sedin ended his seven-game goal-scoring slump in a big way Tuesday, picking up two goals and an assist -- all on the power play.
Analysis: Formerly a near-perennial 30-goal man, Daniel Sedin managed just 28 total goals over the last two seasons (although one of those seasons was shortened by the lockout), and he's been off to a slow start this year too. Daniel had managed just four goals in 24 games entering Tuesday's action, though he's been an effective puck distributor all year long. The Sedins are tied with six goals and 18 helpers each. It's almost like they're twins.

Canucks' D. Sedin Dishes Out Trio Of Assists

News: Daniel Sedin dished out three helpers in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Oilers, skating to a plus-2 with two shots on goal.
Analysis: The point-per-game surge continues for Daniel, who now has 19 points in 19 games. He's looking more and more like one of the bigger bounce-back picks this season, after the mediocrity of 2013-14's 47-point campaign dropped his stock in this season's fantasy drafts.

Canucks' D. Sedin Pots OT Winner

News: Daniel Sedin scored the game-winning goal in overtime and picked up a regulation assist Tuesday against the Senators.
Analysis: The nice night snaps a fairly deep slump for Daniel, who'd managed no goals and two assists over his last six games. Despite that, he's still pulling nearly a point-per-game pace.

Canucks' D. Sedin Pots OT Winner

News: Daniel Sedin scored Thursday's game-winning goal against Montreal on an overtime power play off a feed from his brother Henrik.
Analysis: It's just the winger's third goal of the year, but that modest total has been offset with nine assists, giving him a cool dozen points in 10 games so far. Although his goal-scoring production has been down over the last couple seasons, Daniel could return to his 30-goal ways this year, as the twins have looked revitalized.

Canucks' D. Sedin Nets Goal And Assist In Loss

News: Daniel Sedin netted a goal and an assist in Friday's loss to the Avalanche.
Analysis: It was a horrible outing for the Canucks, but Daniel Sedin managed to be productive, also recording six shots on goal. He has looked great so far this season, sitting fifth in league scoring with two goals and 10 points in seven games. Keep rolling him, as he should continue to produce on a dynamic first line also featuring his brother Henrik and Radim Vrbata.

Canucks' D. Sedin Grabs Two More Points

News: Daniel Sedin extended his early-season point streak to three games and six points Friday, notching a goal and an assist in a win over the Oilers.
Analysis: Can you say "bounce back?" The twins have looked revitalized beside their new winger Radim Vrbata, as the trio have now hooked up for 17 points in Vancouver's first three games. After a disastrous season in 2013-14 under head coach John Tortorella that saw Daniel Sedin post his lowest point total in nearly a decade (47 in 73 games), the 34-year-old twins seem poised for a nice rebound this year.

Canucks' Sedin Notches Three Helpers In Win

News: Daniel Sedin dished out three assists in Saturday's win over the Oilers.
Analysis: Though he attempted a team-high six shots on goal in the affair, Daniel Sedin offered his greatest contributions as a setup man, with Radim Vrbata and Linden Vey finishing off his passes for power-play tallies. Earlier in the game, Sedin was credited for his first helper on a shot attempt that was tipped home by brother Henrik, giving him 500 assists for his career.

Canucks' Sedin Sets Up Vrbata In Preseason Win

News: Daniel Sedin racked up a pair of power-play assists in Friday's preseason win over Calgary.
Analysis: Daniel Sedin's best work Friday came in the final period, where he combined with brother Henrik to setup new linemate Radim Vrbata for his first goal with the Canucks. Sedin is coming off a disappointing 16-goal, 47-point campaign in 2013-14, but is likely to bounce back this season with a former 35-goal scorer on his line. Sedin is nowhere near as bad as we saw this past season, and fantasy goers shouldn't hesitate to draft him in 2014-15. He still possesses all the necessary tools to be an elite fantasy threat.

Canucks' Sedin Avoids Serious Injury

News: Daniel Sedin, who was hit from behind by Calgary's Paul Byron late in the second period of Sunday's season finale, appears to have escaped serious injury, TSN.ca reports.
Analysis: Good news, given that Daniel Sedin was stretchered off the ice Sunday after hitting the glass with his head. "I was scared," Sedin acknowledged while addressing the media Monday. "I felt something wasn't right. I couldn't lift my head off the ice. It feels okay today."

Canucks' D. Sedin Leaves Game On Stretcher

News: Daniel Sedin took a hit from behind by Calgary's Paul Byron late in the second period and left the game on a stretcher with a neck brace.
Analysis: Byron was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding Daniel Sedin, who appeared to hit his head against the glass. Sedin was responsive on the ice but lay motionless for an extended period of time. Sedin has a history of concussions and has battled a series of other injuries this season. Sedin had two goals in the first period before leaving in the second period.

Canucks' D. Sedin Snaps Seven-Game Goal Drought

News: Daniel Sedin notched two goals, his 15th and 16th of the season, in the first period Sunday against Calgary to snap a seven-game goal drought and notch his first multi-goal game of the season.
Analysis: Daniel Sedin scored his 15th goal of the season after David Booth's wrist shot deflected off Sedin's body and into the net. Sedin also scored a power play goal on a give-and-go with twin brother Henrik for his 16th. It's his first multi-goal game of the season. The Sedins have played with much more confidence near the end of the season and clearly play their best with one another. Whether or not the Sedins' abysmal production is a one-year anomaly or the sign of a greater decline is up for debate, but given his playmaking ability it's not inconceivable the Sedins have bounce-back seasons next year.

Canucks' D. Sedin Gets Assist In Brother's Return

News: Daniel Sedin picked up an assist as his brother Henrik returned to the lineup in Saturday's win over Los Angeles.
Analysis: Henrik had missed the last four games with a leg injury, but returned on Saturday to help the Canucks keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Daniel has four points in his last five games, and has tallied 14 goals and 30 assists in 69 games on the season. This is far from what we expected this season from Daniel, who's usually known as a point-per-game player.

Canucks' Sedin Assists Kesler In Loss

News: Daniel Sedin assisted on Ryan Kesler's lone Canucks goal in a loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.
Analysis: Daniel Sedin has now tallied three points in his last four games, skating on a solid top line featuring Ryan Kesler and Alex Burrows. Sedin has 14 goals and 43 points in 68 games this season.
