Coyotes' Ribeiro Scores In Loss

News: Mike Ribeiro scored his 16th goal of the season Saturday in a loss to the Sharks. He was plus-1 on the night.
Analysis: It has been a disappointing season for Mike Ribeiro who has 47 points and a minus-13 rating. He never seemed to be able to find chemistry with his wingers and only added 15 points on the power play, which is where Phoenix was hoping he would help the most. Depending on offseason changes, however, this could make him a bit of a sleeper next year.

Coyotes' Ribeiro A Likely Scratch Again

News: Mike Ribeiro will likely be a healthy scratch Thursday against the Devils, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Analysis: If that's indeed the case, it would be the second straight game Mike Ribeiro will head to the press box, after playing in all 72 of the Coyotes' games before Tuesday's contest against the Penguins. Jeff Halpern assumed most of Ribeiro's minutes as the third-line center Tuesday and would seem poised to do so again.

Coyotes Scratch Ribeiro On Tuesday

News: Mike Ribeiro will be a healthy scratch Tuesday against the Penguins.
Analysis: It's a fairly curious decision since Mike Ribeiro is one of Phoenix's more productive scoring forwards, but perhaps coach Dave Tippett wanted to give the center a rest for the second game of a back-to-back. Paul Bissonnette will enter the lineup in Ribeiro's place.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Scores In Win

News: Mike Ribeiro scored Tuesday in a win over Florida. It was his fifteenth goal of the season.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro has four points in eight games since the end of the Olympic break. He will look to get on a run in the coming weeks as the Coyotes push for a playoff spot.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Nets Two Helpers

News: Mike Ribeiro handed out a pair of assists and went plus-1 in Thursday's win over Montreal.
Analysis: The points snapped a three-game scoreless streak for the veteran center, who remains a solid source of secondary scoring for fantasy owners. However, he hasn't potted a goal since Feb. 1 and has totaled just four assists in the eight games since then.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Spends Night In The Sin Bin

News: Mike Ribeiro was held pointless with only one shot on net, but did rack up 14 PIM Friday in a loss to Colorado.
Analysis: While owners who have Mike Ribeiro in leagues that count PIM may be pleased with the sudden outburst of malfeasance, the interesting point to note here is that he spent more time in the penalty box than on the ice (9:01) and he did not see the ice in the third period. He will look to get back to setting up goals for the Coyotes in their next game Sunday.

Yotes' Ribeiro: Two-Point Game

News: Mike Ribeiro scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Let's be honest -- we expected more when he returned to the desert. His 39 points projects to just 58 over the season, a total that would be his worst full-season performance since shortly after the 2004-05 lockout.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Heating Up

News: Mike Ribeiro picked up an assist Sunday against Vancouver, running his point streak to four games. He has five points in that span.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro has had a few streaks like this over the course of the season, so catch this one if you can. He is up to 37 points in 52 games.

Coyotes Ribeiro Scores Game-Winner Friday

News: Mike Ribeiro scored his 13th goal of the season during Friday's win over the Oilers.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro's second period goal, just three minutes into the period, turned out to be the game-winner as the Coyotes fended off a late Oilers attempt to tie the game. He now has 13 goals and 23 assists through 51 games this season.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Scores In Loss

News: Mike Ribeiro scored his 12th goal of the season Monday in a loss to the Leafs. He was minus-1, took two shots on net and had two PIM.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro has 33 points on the year and is headed for a respectable 50-plus-point campaign, but the Coyotes and fantasy owners may be disappointed, as they may have had higher expectations of the veteran setup man after the year he had with Washington last season.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Draws Back In Tuesday

News: Mike Ribeiro (lower body) took line rushes during warmups and looks like he'll play Tuesday vs. the Blues, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: It looks like the injury that forced Mike Ribeiro from Monday's game wasn't too much of a concern, as he'll draw back into the lineup without having to miss further action. His production is down from last season's point-per-game level, but with 11 goals and 21 assists in 45 games, he's still a useful depth scorer for fantasy owners.

Coyotes' Ribeiro A Game-Time Decision Tuesday

News: Mike Ribeiro (lower body) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against St. Louis, according to Todd Walsh of Fox Sports Arizona.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro left Monday's game early and did not return. The struggling Coyotes would sorely miss his offensive game against a very tough Blues' squad.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Exits With Injury Monday

News: Mike Ribeiro left Monday's game with a lower-body injury and will not return.
Analysis: If Mike Ribeiro misses time beyond Monday, it would be a huge loss for the struggling Coyotes. Ribeiro's 32 points rank second on the team, and he's reached the 50-point plateau in eight consecutive non-lockout seasons.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Scores In Loss

News: Mike Ribeiro notched goal number 11 Saturday in a loss to Anaheim.
Analysis: It has been a bit of a frustrating season for Mike Ribeiro and his fantasy owners as he has been quite inconsistent from one night to the next. It has all amounted to 32 points in 44 games, which is respectable, but not the level of production that was expected coming off of a point-per-game season in Washington a year ago.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Picks Up Two Assists In Win

News: Mike Ribeiro set up two goals in Tuesday's 6-0 blowout of Calgary. He was plus-2 and added two shots and three hits on the night.
Analysis: With 31 points in 42 games, Mike Ribeiro is well off his pace from last season in Washington, but could still produce 50-60 points. Surprisingly, just nine of his points have come on the power play, which is where the Coyotes and fantasy owners expect him to produce. Ribeiro has been extremely streaky this year, mixing multi-point games with pointless streaks, so now may be a time to get him back in your lineup if you benched him during his latest drought.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Scores Again Saturday

News: Mike Ribeiro picked up his tenth goal of the season Saturday against the Ducks tying the game late in the third to send it to overtime. The Coyotes fell 3-2 in OT.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro has points in consecutive games. His scoring this season has come in bunches, so get him in your lineup to take advantage.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Sets Up Two in Loss Friday

News: Mike Ribeiro set up two of the Coyotes' goals, including a game-tying power-play goal late in regulation in Friday's shootout loss to San Jose.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro broke a five-game pointless streak with the assists. He has been very streaky this season, so if you benched him during the downturn now might be a good time to put him back in your lineup.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Grabs Assist In Loss

News: Mike Ribeiro picked an assist Friday against the Canucks. It was his fifth point in his last four games.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro continues his habit of putting up points in bunches (often followed by going quiet for a few games). As a result he has decent numbers for the year with 22 points in 29 games. Stick with him while his current hot play keeps up.

Big Game For Coyotes' Ribeiro

News: Mike Ribeiro scored a goal, picked up two assists and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 6-2 shellacking of the Oilers.
Analysis: He'd hit the skids a bit lately, collecting just two points in his prior five contests, but the veteran center seems to always make up for his cold streaks by collecting points in chunks.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Grabs Assist Against Chicago

News: Mike Ribeiro picked up his eleventh assist of the season on the power play Saturday in the Coyotes' loss to the Blackhawks.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro has slowed down some since a torrid stretch in November, but he has continued to find the score sheet fairly regularly. Owners are hoping he will go on another hot streak again soon.

News: Mike Ribeiro scored his seventh goal of the season Saturday in a loss to Anaheim. The goal ran to four his consecutive games with a point.
Analysis: Mike Ribeiro had a nice all around game in the loss- rating plus-2, taking three shots, a minor penalty, and adding three hits. His 17 points are on a solid pace after a slow start.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Picks Up Assist Thursday

News: Mike Ribeiro picked up an assist on the power play Thursday against Chicago. He added three hits and a blocked shot.
Analysis: Thursday was Mike Ribeiro's second consecutive game with an assist after a dry spell with just two points in eight games before that. He is capable of big runs of production, so if he is not in your lineup, now might be a good time to get him back in there so you do not miss out on an outburst.

Coyotes' Ribeiro Assists Twice

News: Ribeoro grabbed a pair of assists and went plus-2 in Tuesday's OT win over St. Louis.
Analysis: It's been a bit of a struggle for the veteran pivot, as he entered Tuesday with no goals and two assists in his prior eight games. That said, Mike Ribeiro's been known to be streaky, so he could just be starting on a new stretch of high-level play now.
