Sens' Turris Breaks Point Drought With Assist

News: Kyle Turris picked up an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers.
Analysis: Kyle Turris finds himself in the middle of his most significant offensive slump of the season. He's produced no goals and two assists over his last seven games, and hasn't recorded a special teams point since Dec. 17. While he wasn't expected to fully replicate Jason Spezza's production this season as the Sens' No. 1 center, Turris probably hasn't lived up to the expectations set out for him. He sports a minus-8 rating and is on pace to score fewer goals and points than a season earlier, despite seeing an increase in time on ice.

Sens' Turris Grabs Two Points In Loss

News: Kyle Turris factored into all of the team's scoring, netting his ninth goal of the season and adding an assist in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Lightning.
Analysis: Kyle Turris has now collected points in three straight games, and has 27 through 38 games. The 25-year-old may not set a new career-high, but he should approach the 58-point mark he achieved last season.

Sens' Turris Gets Eighth In Victory

News: Kyle Turris nabbed his eighth goal of the season in Saturday's overtime victory over the Bruins.
Analysis: Kyle Turris kicked off the scoring in the second period, cleaning up a mishandle by teammate Clarke MacArthur to beat Tuukka Rask over his right shoulder. The Sens' top-line center would finish with a team-leading four shots on goal on the afternoon, doubling his total from the previous two games combined. The 25-year-old is on pace for a 55-point season, a comparable mark to the 58 he tallied in 2013-14.

Sens' Turris Remains Hot Friday

News: Kyle Turris remained red-hot on Friday, scoring a highlight-reel shorthanded goal and adding an assist in a win over the Ducks.
Analysis: Kyle Turris has been lighting it up lately, riding a five-game point streak in which he has recorded three goals and seven points. With 23 points (seven goals) in 32 games, the 25-year-old is proving to be a reliable fantasy option this season. He has scored the game-winning goal in back-to-back games and has never gone more than three games without appearing on the scoresheet. His consistency and top-line role makes him worth a look right now.

Sens' Turris Scores Twice In Win

News: Kyle Turris collected two goals in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Devils.
Analysis: With one goal coming on the power play, and the second being an empty-netter, Kyle Turris now has five points in his last four games. He has six goals and 15 assists on the season, and should continue to play the role of top-line center in Ottawa.

Assist In Three Straight For Sens' Turris

News: Kyle Turris collected an assist in his third straight game Monday versus the Sabres.
Analysis: Kyle Turris is on track to match or surpass last season's total of 32 assists, but his lack of goal production and minus-8 rating have made him something of a disappointment to date. It looks like he's been a victim of bad puck luck, as he's actually attempting shots at his typical rate this season, but has just a 5.3 shooting percentage to show for it. That's four full points below his career accuracy rate.

Two-Point Night For Sens' Turris

News: Kyle Turris collected a goal and assist in Monday's loss to the Red Wings.
Analysis: It was the third multi-point game of the season for Kyle Turris, who has 14 points and minus-3 rating over 20 games this season. While it doesn't represent the hike in production some were expecting with Turris replacing Jason Spezza on the Sens' top line, he certainly hasn't qualified as a major disappointment for either his team or his fantasy owners.

Turris Notches Two Points, But Sens Lose

News: Kyle Turris had a goal and an assist during Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Vancouver.
Analysis: Kyle Turris was so happy about snapping his 12-game goalless streak on Sunday that he decided to keep the good times rolling. We're still looking for a little more consistency, but Turris has plentiful talent and opportunity on the Sens' top line.

Sens' Turris Ends Dry Spell

News: Kyle Turris collected a pair of assists in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: Kyle Turris was able to snap a three-game pointless skid when he found Erik Karlsson and Clarke MacArthur for third-period goals. The top-line center hasn't potted a score of his own since the season opener, with his pedestrian average of 2.3 shots per game probably having much to do with that.

Wednesday's Game Postponed For Turris, Sens

News: Kyle Turris and the Senators will not play Wednesday after their scheduled game against the Maple Leafs was postponed in light of the ongoing crisis in Ottawa, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: Multiple gunmen reportedly fired shots Wednesday morning in the downtown area of the Canadian capital, with one shooter dead and possibly one or more still at large. With several government buildings on lockdown, safety will understandably take greater precedence than proceeding with the game as scheduled. The NHL has yet to announce a make-up date for the postponed contest.

Sens' Turris Tallies Goal In Opener

News: Kyle Turris led things off with a goal just over a minute into Thursday's game against the Predators.
Analysis: After averaging 18:44 of action last season, Kyle Turris saw his ice time bumped up to 20:27 on Thursday, along with 6:06 on the power play. That trend figures to hold while Turris moves up to a top-line role this season, following the offseason trade of Jason Spezza to the Stars. If he suits up for close to an 82-game schedule, Turris shouldn't have too much difficulty surpassing last season's career-best marks of 26 goals and 32 assists.

Senators' Turris Preparing For Top-Line Duty

News: Kyle Turris finished the preseason with no goals and three assists in four games played.
Analysis: Kyle Turris posted the best stats of his career last season with 58 points, and with the offseason departure of Jason Spezza, he's set to assume an even larger role for the Sens in 2014-15. The 25-year-old played in all 82 games for the first time in his career and if health permits once again, he figures to set career marks while manning the first line and top power-play unit with Clarke MacArthur and Bobby Ryan.

Sens' Turris Finishes With Career Highs

News: Kyle Turris finished the season with 26 goals and 32 assists in 82 games.
Analysis: Kyle Turris also led the team with a plus-22 rating, which was ten higher than Clarke MacArthur's second-ranked plus-12 rating. Turris' goals, assists, and points totals in 2013-14 were all career highs, and the center may have found a pair of permanent line mates in Bobby Ryan and Clarke MacArthur.

Sens' Turris Tallies Goal In Finale

News: Kyle Turris scored his 26th goal of the season in Sunday's finale against the Penguins.
Analysis: Kyle Turris was one of the few Sens who didn't disappoint in 2013-14, delivering a career-high 57 points to accompany his plus-22 rating. With a long-term contract to his name, Turris should be locked into a top-six role with Ottawa for the next few seasons.

Turris Contributes Two Helpers For Sens

News: Kyle Turris assisted on both Ottawa goals Tuesday in a shootout loss to the Panthers.

Sens' Turris Notches Goal No. 22

News: Kyle Turris scored his 22nd goal of the season in Monday's shootout win over the Lightning.
Analysis: Kyle Turris would misfire on his lone attempt in the shootout, but he was at least able to help get the game to overtime, with his second period score putting the Senators up 3-1. Monday's performance aside, the 24-year-old has mostly underwhelmed in March along with his team, totaling five points in 11 contests.

Sens' Turris Scores In Loss

News: Kyle Turris netted his team's lone goal in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Flames.
Analysis: While his team continues to struggle, Kyle Turris is quietly having the best season of his career to date. He now has 20 goals and 25 assists through 63 games, and leads the team with a plus-16 rating (Bobby Ryan is second with a plus-9). The Sens may have taken a step back this year, but the future is bright for Turris if he and Ryan continue to skate together.

News: Kyle Turris has 19 goals and 25 assists in 59 games so far this season.

Sens' Turris Scoring Regularly

News: Kyle Turris scored a goal for the eighth time in the last 10 games and added an assist in Thursday's win over the Lightning.
Analysis: Kyle Turris scored just 10 goals in the first three months of the season before potting these eight since the new year. Curiously, despite all the scores, he took only 33 shots on goal in January -- his lowest monthly total this season.

Sens' Turris Tallies Two In Loss

News: Kyle Turris potted two goals in Saturday's loss to the Hurricanes.
Analysis: Kyle Turris' scores came just under four minutes apart in the second period, as the forward found the net at even strength and when the Senators were shorthanded. The two goals boosted Turris' season total and bumped him up to plus-19 through 52 games, a highly impressive feat considering the Senators own a middling 22-20-10 record.

News: One game after breaking his four-game goal streak, Kyle Turris got back on the board with what turned out to be the game-winner in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Washington.

Sens' Turris: Goals In Three Straight

News: Kyle Turris scored a goal for the third consecutive game and added an assist in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Minnesota.
Analysis: After a rough stretch of time from Nov. 23 to Dec. 19 in which he scored just one goal, Kyle Turris has tallied six times in his last 10 games, adding a trio of assists. With that shiny plus-17 rating to go with the 36 points he's acquired so far this year, he's in the midst of by far his best NHL campaign.

News: Kyle Turris had an assist in Thursday's 4-3 win over Winnipeg.
Analysis: The point extends Kyle Turris' current point streak (a goal and two assists) to three games. While Turris won't bring home the bacon, he figures to continues his ways as he has a career-high 28 points in the first month of the calendar year.
