Blues Hold Oshie Out Saturday

News: T.J. Oshie (rest) will not play Saturday against the Wild, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: Both the Blues and Wild are resting a number of key players with their playoff spots secure, while also exhibiting a bit of gamesmanship due to the high probability of the two teams facing each other in the first round. T.J. Oshie will finish the regular season with 19 goals and 55 points over 72 games.

Blues' Oshie Registers Two Asissts

News: T.J. Oshie extended his assist streak to four games Friday, registering a pair of helpers in a win over Dallas.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has now recorded 36 assists this season, just three shy of his career high. The 28-year-old is up to 55 points in 69 games and is thriving on a line with Jaden Schwartz. Even though he hasn't scored a goal in eight straight outings, Oshie remains a dependable and consistent fantasy producer who can be trusted in most leagues.

Blues' Oshie Has Assist In Win

News: T.J. Oshie picked up an assist Thursday in a 4-1 win over the Flames. He was plus-1 with three shots in the game.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie is putting the finishing touches on a nice campaign, picking up his 53rd point of the season. He needs one goal to reach the 20-goal mark for the second straight year. The 28-year-old missed several games this year with a concussion and due to personal reasons, which may mask the fact that he has produced at a slightly higher clip than season's 60-point campaign. He is at his peak right now and should be in almost every lineup when the Blues are playing.

Blues' Oshie Set To Play Monday

News: T.J. Oshie (illness) will play Monday against the Canucks, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: While T.J. Oshie is back in for the Blues, Alexander Steen won't be in Monday's lineup. As a result, Olli Jokinen will fill in on the team's top line, along with Oshie and David Backes.

Blues' Oshie Poised To Play Monday

News: T.J. Oshie (illness) is on track to play Monday against the Canucks, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie, who missed Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets, checks back into the Blues' lineup with 19 goals and 51 points in in 66 games to date.

Blues' Oshie Out Saturday With Illness

News: T.J. Oshie (illness) will miss Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie missed the morning skate Saturday, but was initially expected to give it a go. However, Oshie's illness hasn't cleared up and he will not play Saturday. Patrick Berglund will likely step into Oshie's place on the line. His next chance to return will be Monday against Vancouver.

Blues' Oshie Feeling Ill Saturday

News: T.J. Oshie missed the Blues' morning skate with an illness, but is expected to play later in the evening Saturday against the Blue Jackets, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports.
Analysis: Coach Ken Hitchcock didn't seem to think that T.J. Oshie's illness was particularly severe, so the winger will rest up over the afternoon with the hope that it will allow him to suit up later in the evening. His availability or potential absence should be confirmed based on pregame warmups, which will be conducted about a half hour prior to the 8:00 ET puck drop.

Blues' Oshie Has Assist In Win

News: T.J. Oshie picked up an assist Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime win over the Penguins. He was plus-1 with two PIM, one shot, and one hit in the contest.
Analysis: If T.J. Oshie hadn't missed seven games earlier in the season he would be ready to surpass his production from last year. As it is, he will likely record his second consecutive 20-goal campaign, he has a strong plus-13 rating, and he improved his shot rate this year. He's not a youngster anymore, but Oshie is very much a reliable winger for just about any fantasy team.

Blues' Oshie Assists Twice In Win

News: T.J. Oshie grabbed a pair of primary assists -- his second consecutive two-point game -- and went plus-3 Tuesday in a 4-0 rout of Calgary.
Analysis: The two helpers pushed him to 50 points for the season, marking the third time he's reached that milestone. If not for some time missed to injury, T.J. Oshie would have a chance to hit 70 points this year, but instead he'll need a strong finish to match last year's 60.

Blues' Oshie Nets Two Points In Win

News: T.J. Oshie scored his 19th goal of the season and had an assist in Sunday's win over the Stars.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie's been steadily producing of late and is now up to 48 points in 61 games -- a line augmented by a tidy plus-11 rating and 35 PIM. Keep him rolling.

Oshie Power Blues In Win

News: T.J. Oshie generated the game-winning goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 6-1 defeat of the Maple Leafs.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has scored in only four of his last 10 games, but they've all been multi-point efforts. That type of inconsistency can be frustrating, but it also makes Oshie a high-upside play in daily formats on nights like Saturday when the Blues' attack is firing on all cylinders.

Blues' Oshie Collects Three Assists

News: T.J. Oshie picked up three assists in Sunday's loss to Vancouver.
Analysis: That's five points in four games for T.J. Oshie, who is up to 17 goals and 44 points in 55 games on the season. The 28-year-old continues to produce points steadily and can be trusted in most formats.

Oshie Lone Bright Spot For Blues In Loss

News: T.J. Oshie scored a goal and assisted on another, but that was the extent of the St. Louis offense in Tuesday's 5-2 loss against visiting Montreal.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie's got three multi-point games in his last six and hasn't appeared on the scoresheet in the other three. But he's now cleared 40 points for the fourth time in his career and should easily roll past 50 before things are all said and done.

Blues' Oshie Scores 16th Goal

News: T.J. Oshie potted his 16th goal of the season and had an assist in Friday's win over the Bruins.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie's now got two goals and six points in his last six games, giving him 39 points in 50 games on the season. He's a reliable all-around fantasy option, skating on the Blues' top line where he has put up a plus-13 rating and 27 PIM. If you can deal with short slumps, Oshie is worth owning in most formats.

Oshie Chips In Two Points For Blues

News: T.J. Oshie scored his first goal of February and added an assist and a plus-2 rating Thursday in a win over Tampa Bay.
Analysis: That's three straight games on the sheet for T.J. Oshie following a three-game scoreless skid. Though he's missed some action to injury, Oshie should still easily clear 50 points for the third time this year.

Blues' Oshie Picks Up Assist In Loss

News: T.J. Oshie picked up an assist Sunday in a 4-2 loss to the Blackhawks. He added two shots in the game.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie broke a three-game pointless mini-slump with the helper on a hard-nosed drive to the net that David Backes was able to finish up. He is right on the same point production pace as last year and his line with Backes and Alexander Steen has been tearing up the league since January 1, so expect Oshie to get back near the 60 point plateau when all is said and done.

Blues' Oshie Tallies Three Assists In Win

News: T.J. Oshie picked up three assists in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Capitals.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has been on fire over the past month, with 21 points in 15 games since the Christmas break. He's currently on a five game point streak with three goals and four assists in that span, and is up to 33 points on the season.

Blues' Oshie Nabs Assist in Win

News: T.J. Oshie picked up an assist in a shootout win over the Canes on Friday. He added two shots, two PIM and two hits on the night.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has points in four straight after having a seven-game point streak end earlier in the month. He is up to 30 points and a plus-12 rating in 40 games for the season.

Blues' Oshie Nabs Goal In Second Straight

News: T.J. Oshie nabbed his 13th goal of the season in Monday's win over the Avalanche.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has been battling a lower-body injury lately, but it hasn't hindered his play too much, as he's been able to find twine in two straight contests. The overwhelming nature of the Blues' attack should keep point-gathering opportunities plentiful for Oshie; continue to keep him active.

Blues' Oshie Misses Skate, But On Track To Play

News: T.J. Oshie skipped the Blues' morning skate, but coach Ken Hitchcock confirmed the forward would play Saturday against the Maple Leafs, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has been hobbled a bit since taking a puck to the lower body Tuesday against Edmonton, but he was able to play in the Blues' next game Thursday against the Red Wings, skating 17:19. He'll likely get the occasional therapy day here and there to nurse the injury, but it shouldn't be viewed as anything that dramatically hinders his production going forward.

Blues' Oshie Grabs Assist In Win

News: T.J. Oshie picked up an assist Tuesday in a win over Edmonton. He was plus-2 with three shots, one hit and a block on the night.
Analysis: The assist was T.J. Oshie's 14th point in his last nine games as he and his teammates continue to light the ice on fire on offense. Oshie is still off of his scoring pace from last year, but is quickly making up for it in January.

Blues' Oshie On Seven-Game Streak

News: T.J. Oshie pushed his point streak to seven games Thursday, scoring a goal and contributing a power-play assist.
Analysis: Is this guy on fire or what? After netting 'just' a single point in each of the first four games of this streak, T.J. Oshie turned that little flame into a raging bonfire, as he's got a downright silly nine points in the last three games. Ride the wave.

Blues' Oshie Gets Assist Trick

News: T.J. Oshie assisted on three of David Backes' four goals in Tuesday's rout of the Coyotes.
Analysis: The first two helpers were primary assists on the power play, with the very first one a particularly impressive pass that set Backes up on Mike Smith's doorstep with a wide-open net. T.J. Oshie's on a massive surge, having netted a hat trick himself on Saturday -- he now has a six-game point streak during which he's rattled off an awesome 11 points, nearly doubling his season total in that span. It looks like Oshie can quite safely return to being considered a reliable 50-to-60-point man.

Blues' Oshie Nets Hat Trick In Win

News: T.J. Oshie dominated Saturday, recording three goals, an assist, five shots on goal, and four hits in a blowout win over the Sharks.
Analysis: This guy is on fire. T.J. Oshie has now scored in three straight games, currently sporting a five-game point streak (five goals, eight points). After managing just one goal and three points in his first 15 games, Oshie has turned his season around, notching nine goals and 17 points in his last 16 games. Playing on the first line and top power-play unit, Oshie should be owned in almost all leagues right now.

Points In Four Straight For Blues' Oshie

News: T.J. Oshie scored his seventh goal of the season in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks, extending his modest point streak to four games.
Analysis: Despite having posted a disappointing 16 points in 30 games this year, T.J. Oshie has come alive in the last month, grabbing 10 of his points over 12 games. He's also averaging 2.66 SOG (32 shots) over that span, so he's definitely worth a shot if he's available on your wire, and makes for an interesting trade target if you can get him for the right price. Also, there's been grumblings of the 28-year-old being discussed in real-life trade talks -- with the Bruins being a potential suitor -- so it'll be interesting to see how he performs between now and the March trade deadline.
