Blues' Oshie Nabs Assist in Win

News: T.J. Oshie picked up an assist in a shootout win over the Canes on Friday. He added two shots, two PIM and two hits on the night.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has points in four straight after having a seven-game point streak end earlier in the month. He is up to 30 points and a plus-12 rating in 40 games for the season.

Blues' Oshie Nabs Goal In Second Straight

News: T.J. Oshie nabbed his 13th goal of the season in Monday's win over the Avalanche.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has been battling a lower-body injury lately, but it hasn't hindered his play too much, as he's been able to find twine in two straight contests. The overwhelming nature of the Blues' attack should keep point-gathering opportunities plentiful for Oshie; continue to keep him active.

Blues' Oshie Misses Skate, But On Track To Play

News: T.J. Oshie skipped the Blues' morning skate, but coach Ken Hitchcock confirmed the forward would play Saturday against the Maple Leafs, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has been hobbled a bit since taking a puck to the lower body Tuesday against Edmonton, but he was able to play in the Blues' next game Thursday against the Red Wings, skating 17:19. He'll likely get the occasional therapy day here and there to nurse the injury, but it shouldn't be viewed as anything that dramatically hinders his production going forward.

Blues' Oshie Grabs Assist In Win

News: T.J. Oshie picked up an assist Tuesday in a win over Edmonton. He was plus-2 with three shots, one hit and a block on the night.
Analysis: The assist was T.J. Oshie's 14th point in his last nine games as he and his teammates continue to light the ice on fire on offense. Oshie is still off of his scoring pace from last year, but is quickly making up for it in January.

Blues' Oshie On Seven-Game Streak

News: T.J. Oshie pushed his point streak to seven games Thursday, scoring a goal and contributing a power-play assist.
Analysis: Is this guy on fire or what? After netting 'just' a single point in each of the first four games of this streak, T.J. Oshie turned that little flame into a raging bonfire, as he's got a downright silly nine points in the last three games. Ride the wave.

Blues' Oshie Gets Assist Trick

News: T.J. Oshie assisted on three of David Backes' four goals in Tuesday's rout of the Coyotes.
Analysis: The first two helpers were primary assists on the power play, with the very first one a particularly impressive pass that set Backes up on Mike Smith's doorstep with a wide-open net. T.J. Oshie's on a massive surge, having netted a hat trick himself on Saturday -- he now has a six-game point streak during which he's rattled off an awesome 11 points, nearly doubling his season total in that span. It looks like Oshie can quite safely return to being considered a reliable 50-to-60-point man.

Blues' Oshie Nets Hat Trick In Win

News: T.J. Oshie dominated Saturday, recording three goals, an assist, five shots on goal, and four hits in a blowout win over the Sharks.
Analysis: This guy is on fire. T.J. Oshie has now scored in three straight games, currently sporting a five-game point streak (five goals, eight points). After managing just one goal and three points in his first 15 games, Oshie has turned his season around, notching nine goals and 17 points in his last 16 games. Playing on the first line and top power-play unit, Oshie should be owned in almost all leagues right now.

Points In Four Straight For Blues' Oshie

News: T.J. Oshie scored his seventh goal of the season in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks, extending his modest point streak to four games.
Analysis: Despite having posted a disappointing 16 points in 30 games this year, T.J. Oshie has come alive in the last month, grabbing 10 of his points over 12 games. He's also averaging 2.66 SOG (32 shots) over that span, so he's definitely worth a shot if he's available on your wire, and makes for an interesting trade target if you can get him for the right price. Also, there's been grumblings of the 28-year-old being discussed in real-life trade talks -- with the Bruins being a potential suitor -- so it'll be interesting to see how he performs between now and the March trade deadline.

Blues' Oshie Collects Assist In Loss

News: T.J. Oshie collected an assist and fired five shots on goal in Saturday's loss to the Stars.
Analysis: A good offensive outing for T.J. Oshie, who had previously gone three straight games without recording a point. With five goals and 13 points in 27 games this season, Oshie has been a fantasy disappointment. After notching a career-high 60 points in 2013-14, Oshie is barely on pace to surpass the 30-point mark this time around. Skating on the top line with David Backes and Alex Steen, Oshie is getting plenty of offensive opportunities to succeed. A positive to draw on is the fact 10 of his 13 points this year have come in his last 12 games. The slow start is behind him, so he just needs to find some more consistency before we can start trusting him again .

Blues' Oshie To Rejoin Team Thursday

News: T.J. Oshie (personal) will rejoin the Blues for their rematch with the Kings on Thursday, reports Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Analysis: Family reasons kept T.J. Oshie out of Tuesday's win over Los Angeles, but he will be back for the Blues' next game and hope to keep his recent run of strong production going. He has six points in his last four games, including two multi-point efforts.

Blues' Oshie To Sit Out Tuesday

News: T.J. Oshie will miss Tuesday's game against the Kings due to family reasons, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie is expected to rejoin the Blues for their upcoming road trip, which kicks off with a rematch with the Kings in Los Angeles on Thursday. The winger had potted two goals and assisted on two more over his last two games, playing an integral role in the Blues' recent winning streak. Look for Magnus Paajarvi to replace him in Tuesday's lineup.

Blues' Oshie Pots Game-Winner Saturday

News: T.J. Oshie netted the overtime-winning goal Saturday against the Avalanche.
Analysis: That's three goals and six points in four games for T.J. Oshie, who has caught fire after recording only six points (two goals) in his first 19 games. The top-line winger has now scored two game-winning goals this season and has been credited with nine shots on goal over his last two games. Now that he's found his stride, Oshie is worth looking at, as the red-hot Blues have won four straight games and sit second in the Western Conference.

Three-Point Play For Blues' Oshie

News: T.J. Oshie scored a goal, assisted on two more and went plus-1 in Thursday's win over the Blues.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie continues to score in fits and starts, so we'd like to see more consistency from him, but this is his second multi-point game in the last three, and he has two goals and three assists in that span. Going back further, those three contests are the only only times he's been on the scoresheet in the last 12 games.

Two-Point Afternoon For Blues' Oshie

News: T.J. Oshie notched a goal and assist -- both on the power play -- in Saturday's victory over the Islanders.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie only had one point on the man advantage in his previous 19 games this season. He's averaging less than a half-point per game for the Blues, a level of production that has underwhelmed considering the winger submitted a career-best 60-point campaign in 2013-14.

Oshie Leads Blues To Win Over Oilers

News: T.J. Oshie registered his first multi-point game of the season to date, scoring a goal and adding two assists in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over Edmonton.
Analysis: With just three points in 15 games coming into this one, T.J. Oshie has been one of the biggest disappointments of the season to date. However, Oshie may have finally turned the corner with this excellent outing. At this point, fantasy owners can do little more than cross their fingers and hope they see more of the same from Oshie in the coming weeks.

Blues' Oshie Scores First Goal In Return

News: T.J. Oshie finally got his first goal of the year Thursday, scoring on a first-period power play against the Predators in his return from a concussion.
Analysis: A 60-point scorer last year, T.J. Oshie opened this season by going scoreless in six games, finally picked up an assist, and then ended up missing two weeks with the concussion. The Blues wasted no time redeploying him, as Oshie skated a whopping 22:58 on Thursday.

Blues' Oshie: (Concussion) Will Play Thursday

News: T.J. Oshie (concussion) has been activated from injured reserve and will play Thursday against the Predators.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie looked like a game-time decision for Thursday after taking part in the team's optional morning skate, but it sounds like he's already received the OK from the team's medical staff to return to the lineup. It's uncertain where Oshie will slot in for the Blues since the team didn't have all hands on deck for the morning skate, but it seems possible that the team would ease him back into action by using him in reduced minutes as part of the second or third line. For that reason, along with his early offensive struggles (one point in eight games) prior to suffering the head injury, it may be wise for Oshie's fantasy owners to wait a game or two before inserting him back into their lineups.

Blues' Oshie Could Return Thursday

News: T.J. Oshie (concussion) took some contact at Thursday's morning skate and could be an option for the Blues' game against the Predators, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has been free of concussion symptoms for the last couple of days and was able to resuming practicing Wednesday, making it possibly that he might suit up if he continues to feel 100 percent once game time rolls around. However, because Thursday was his first day taking contact in a session that wasn't especially rigorous, coach Ken Hitchcock and the Blues' medical staff could exercise precaution and hold Oshie out for the eighth straight game. In any case, assuming he incurs no further setbacks with his recovery from the concussion, Oshie looks highly probable to be available for Saturday's tilt against the Capitals at the latest. The Blues have already signaled that Oshie is close to a return with their decision to send Dmitrij Jaskin back to the minors Thursday.

Blues' Oshie Not Ready To Go Yet

News: Coach Ken Hitchcock said T.J. Oshie (concussion) will not be an option for Tuesday's game against the Sabres, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports.
Analysis: The news doesn't come as much of a surprise since T.J. Oshie first resumed practicing in a non-contact capacity Monday. It's not certain whether he'll be cleared to take part in a full-contact session Wednesday, but if that ends up materializing, Oshie could have a legitimate shot at making his return to game action Thursday against Nashville.

Blues' Oshie Practices

News: T.J. Oshie (concussion) practiced in a non-contact jersey Monday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie was skating hard in drills prior to practice, so it sounds like he at least has all of his balance and vision back after suffering a concussion. He'll still need to be cleared for contact before returning, but it sounds like that could be sooner rather than later at this point.

Blues' Oshie Skates Saturday

News: T.J. Oshie (concussion) skated on his own Saturday morning, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports.
Analysis: He was able to get in some puck handling and shooting in addition to skating, but coach Ken Hitchcock cautioned not to read to much into it, saying the forward is still a ways off from rejoining the lineup. T.J. Oshie has been out since Oct. 28 with the concussion, missing the Blues' last five games.

Blues' Oshie Recovering Slowly From Concussion

News: T.J. Oshie (concussion) appeared at the Scottrade Center on Thursday before the Blues took on the Devils, but he is not expected back soon, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He suffered a concussion against Dallas on Oct. 28.
Analysis: It's a good sign that T.J. Oshie is up, walking around and paying the team a visit, but the Blues are playing it cautiously with their young forward, as they should. It's unlikely he will play before the middle of next week, and perhaps much later than that.

Blues Place Oshie On IR

News: The Blues placed T.J. Oshie (concussion) on IR on Monday.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie has been dealing with an illness as well as his concussion, and will likely need to start feeling better before he can be reassessed for concussion symptoms. He's eligible to be activated off IR on Tuesday, but he's not expected to be anywhere close to returning at that point.

Blues' Oshie Has Illness On Top Of Concussion

News: In addition to a concussion, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that T.J. Oshie (concussion) is dealing with a bacterial infection, according to GM Doug Armstrong.
Analysis: The infection is making it more challenging to determine the status of his concussion (the more serious issue). Once the illness clears T.J. Oshie will go through the normal concussion protocols before returning to the lineup.

Blues' Oshie Diagnosed With Concussion

News: T.J. Oshie has been diagnosed with a concussion and is out indefinitely, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: T.J. Oshie didn't take part in Wednesday's optional practice, but there was no indication that he suffered any sort of injury a day earlier in the game against Dallas. However, after a later evaluation from the team's medical staff confirmed the concussion, Oshie faces an uncertain return date, given the volatile timetables the head injury can bring. Coach Ken Hitchcock also acknowledged Oshie had "something else going on as well," perhaps alluding to the bacterial disease that has been spreading around the Blues' locker room the last couple of weeks.
