Habs' Pacioretty Stays Hot With Two Assists

News: Max Pacioretty notched two assists in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Islanders.
Analysis: You'd be hard-pressed to find another forward as sizzling as Max Pacioretty is right now. The 26-year-old has picked up points in all seven of his January contests, producing seven goals and three assists.

Pacioretty Scores Habs' Lone Goal Thursday

News: The Canadiens didn't muster much offense Thursday in a loss to Ottawa, but Max Pacioretty scored their only goal, pushing his scoring streak to six games and seven goals.
Analysis: Perhaps the most amazing part of Max Pacioretty's scoring lately is the fact that he's been the only Hab finding the net much at all. Over the last four games, the Canadiens have scored just seven goals, and five of them belong to Mighty Max.

Habs' Pacioretty Extends Goal Streak

News: Max Pacioretty tallied two goals in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: The winger extended is goal streak to five games Wednesday night, and now has seven points over that span. He's now at 20/15/35 through 42 games on the season, and his plus-22 rating is good for fifth overall in the NHL.

Habs' Pacioretty: Goal Streak At Four Games

News: Max Pacioretty stretched his goal streak to four games when he scored the Canadiens' only goal in a 2-1 OT loss to the Penguins on Saturday. He has four goals and one assist in those four games.
Analysis: He has 18 goals on the season; five of those have come in the last six games. Maybe this was just what he needed to settle into a groove that would inch him close to last year's pace (39 goals). Take full advantage of this surge.

Habs' Pacioretty: 11 Points In Last 10 Games

News: Max Pacioretty scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Penguins. He has 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in his last 10 games.
Analysis: He has 30 points in 38 games, but has picked up his pace of late. It's a good sign -- the Habs are 9-1 in those 10 games. We would like to see more power-play production -- just three of his 30 points have come with the man advantage. But we won't argue his efforts right now.

Montreal's Pacioretty Scores On Power Play

News: Pacrioretty had a team-high six shots on net and scored a power-play goal in Friday night's 4-2 win over the Devils. Over the past three games, he has 15 shots and two goals.
Analysis: The goal was his 15th of the season and second on the man advantage, leaving him shy of the pace he set last season when he scored a career-high 39 goals and 10 on the power play. That drop off in goal-scoring is related to the team's lack off power-play success. Montreal ranks 24th at 15 percent (16 goals in 106 opportunities).

Pacioretty Scores In Montreal Win

News: Max Pacioretty netted his 14th goal as Montreal defeated Carolina 3-1 on Monday.
Analysis: Max Pacioretty hasn't put up quite the prolific numbers he did last season where he approached 40 goals but he's still on pace for close to 30 this year which is still valuable to Fantasy owners.

Habs' Pacioretty In Lineup Saturday

News: Max Pacioretty (upper body) played 18:48 in Saturday night's 4-1 win over Ottawa. He had two assists and three hits.
Analysis: Max Pacioretty was touch-and-go after getting shoved into the boards in Thursday's loss to the Ducks. His quick recovery is good news and even better still were the two assists. He has five assists in the previous three games.

Habs' Pacioretty (Upper Body) Returns Saturday

News: Max Pacioretty is in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Senators.
Analysis: Max Pacioretty's injury was muscular in nature, so he likely sustained no lasting damage from the hit he took Friday from Clayton Stoner that sent him to the hospital.

Habs' Pacioretty A Game-Time Call Saturday

News: Max Pacioretty (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's tilt with the Senators, John Lu of TSN Montreal reports.
Analysis: The Habs plan to have Max Pacioretty skate during pregame warmups and assess his condition afterward before deciding whether or not he'll be fit to play. It looks like a formal announcement on his status could come down to the wire, so the risk-averse may want to steer away from using him in daily formats. For what it's worth, he was a full participant in morning skate, which would normally indicate that a player is healthy and ready to suit up.

Canadiens' Pacioretty (Upper Body) Could Play Sat.

News: Max Pacioretty (upper body) was on the ice for morning skate Saturday and could be an option for the game later in the evening against the Senators, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: Though Max Pacioretty was briefly hospitalized after exiting Thursday's game following a hard hit by the Ducks' Clayton Stoner, his return to the ice creates hope that he won't have to miss any time due to the injury. It's uncertain if coach Michel Therrien will formally confirm that Pacioretty will return to the lineup Saturday, so it might not be until pregame warmups that a report on the winger's official status comes forth.

Habs Listing Pacioretty (Upper Body) As Day-To-Day

News: Coach Michel Therrien said Friday that Max Pacioretty (upper body) is being treated as day-to-day with his injury.
Analysis: Max Pacioretty was lifted from Thursday's game following a hard hit by the Ducks' Clayton Stoner, which resulted in him heading to the hospital as a precaution. Fortunately for the winger, it appears the injury he sustained isn't significant, though his status for Saturday's game against the Senators remains in some peril. He wasn't able to practice Friday and will probably need to skate Saturday morning to have a legitimate shot at playing in the next game.

Canadiens' Pacioretty Suffers Upper-Body Injury

News: Max Pacioretty suffered an upper-body injury injury in the third period of Thursday's game against the Ducks and will not return, John Lu of TSN Montreal reports.
Analysis: Max Pacioretty's injury was reportedly the result of a hit by the Ducks' Clayton Stoner, and was taken directly to the Canadiens' locker room. He was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, but is expected to receive further evaluation Friday.

Trio Of Helpers For Habs' Pacioretty

News: Max Pacioretty assisted on all three of linemate Alex Galchenyuk's goals in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: In fact, he had the primary helper on each one, as that duo worked together extremely effectively on Tuesday. Max Pacioretty's been a bit inconsistent of late, as he's been on the scoresheet in just two of the last six games, but he's got five points in those two games.

Two-Point Night For Habs' Pacioretty

News: Max Pacioretty picked up a second-period assist on the game's opening goal and scored into an empty net Tuesday in a 3-1 win over Montreal.
Analysis: He also went plus-2, pushing his already-career-high rating to a career-higher plus-12 for the year. Max Pacioretty's scoring pace is a little off from the last few years, thanks in part to him having gone scoreless over the prior three games, but he's a good bet to end up with 30-plus goals and around 60 points when all's said and done.

News: Max Pacioretty picked up his 11th goal of the season in Saturday's shootout loss to Buffalo. The goal snaps a three-game point drought.

Pacioretty's Two Goals Boost Habs

News: Max Pacioretty scored his ninth and 10th goals of the season in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Blues.
Analysis: One game after seeing his five-game point streak come to an end in a shutout loss to the Penguins, Max Pacioretty bounced back in a big way. He scored the second and third goals for Montreal, so he was credited with his first game-winner of the year.

Habs' Pacioretty On Fire

News: Max Pacioretty had two assists in Saturday night's 6-3 win over the Flyers. That's six points in the last four games for the first-line winger.
Analysis: Both of the assists were of the power-play variety, as linemates P.A. Parenteau and David Desharnais deposited rebounds past Philadelphia's Ray Emery. Unsurprisingly, Max Pacioretty leads the team with 15 points.

News: Max Pacioretty scored twice on five shots, went plus-2 and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-1 win over Boston.
Analysis: He's now got a modest three-game point streak going during which he's accumulated three goals, an assist and a plus-3 rating. He leads the Habs in both goals (eight) and points (13), and Max Pacioretty should be expected to remain the team's most reliable offensive threat.

News: Max Pacioretty scored an insurance goal in Saturday night's 4-1 win over Minnesota. The goal was Pacioretty's team-leading sixth of the season.

Montreal's Pacioretty Scores In Loss

News: Max Pacioretty scored a goal and had six shots on net in Sunday night's 6-2 loss to Calgary. It was the second straight game in which Pacioretty has scored.
Analysis: Max Pacioretty now has eight points in his last eight games. He was the best Montreal had on a bad night for the Canadiens, who were out-hustled by Calgary for the second time in the last week. The Habs were able to steal two points in Calgary last Tuesday, but hockey karma caught up to them Sunday.

Canadiens' Pacioretty Extends Night

News: Max Pacioretty scored late in the third period to send Thursday night's game into overtime, but Vancouver eventually won it in extra time. It was his fourth goal of the season and first point on the team's three-game swing through western Canada.
Analysis: Head coach Michel Therrien was not pleased with the work of his forwards, who hadn't registered a point on the road trip until 12 minutes into the third period Thursday night. The coach tweaked his lines, including moving Dale Weise to the first line with Max Pacioretty and David Desharnais. The top line has had spotty success this season, but Pacioretty has amassed eight points through 11 games.

Habs' Pacioretty: Six Points In Last Four Games

News: Max Pacioretty scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: His six points in his last four games are just about as good as anyone in the league. He has three goals in eight games this season and will need to step up his pace if he intends to pursue his career mark of 39.
