Fourth Game-Winner For Ducks' Beleskey

News: Matt Beleskey potted his 15th goal -- and fourth game-winner -- in the third period of Thursday's 2-1 decision against Montreal.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey's on a wild and wonderful pace right now; if he were to maintain his current scoring rates, he'd finish an 82-game season with 36 goals and 10 assists. And 10 of those goals would be game-winners.

Ducks' Beleskey Delivers In The Clutch

News: Matt Beleskey scored the game-winning goal, was credited with four hits, had three shots on goal, and was a game-high plus-3 in Friday's win over Minnesota.
Analysis: How clutch has this guy been? Matt Beleskey now has a career-high 13 goals this season, including three game-winners -- tops on the team. While his point total (15) isn't too impressive, Beleskey is now the sixth highest goal-scorer in the NHL and sports a remarkable plus-10 rating on the year. This guy has lit the lamp more often than Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin this season. Playing on the second line with Ryan Kesler, Beleskey is worth a look right now.

Ducks' Beleskey Heating Up

News: Matt Beleskey was credited with his second game-winning goal of the season in Monday's win over the Bruins.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey buried his lone shot attempt out of the night, finding an opening after a Ryan Getzlaf faceoff victory to nab his 12th goal of the season, good for sixth in the league. He'll continue to enjoy ample value skating alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

Ducks' Beleskey Picks Up Two Points

News: Matt Beleskey scored a goal and dished out an assist in Tuesday's win over the Flames.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey's goal came in accidental fashion, as his attempted pass to Corey Perry bounced off the skate of the Flames' Kris Russell and into the net to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead. The tally nonetheless continues a hot run of production for Beleskey, who has been assuming a top-line role next to Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. The winger has three goals and four points in his last four games.

Ducks' Beleskey Nabs Goal In Loss

News: Matt Beleskey registered his seventh goal of the season in Friday's loss to the Coyotes.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey saw 18:32 of action Friday, about four minutes more than he had been averaging for the season. The uptick in ice time was likely due in large part to the absence of Corey Perry (illness), so look for Beleskey to see less frequent usage once he returns to action.

Beleskey Scores Lone Ducks' Goal In Loss

News: Matt Beleskey netted his fifth goal of the season, had five shots on goal, and was handed 10 PIM in Sunday's loss to San Jose.
Analysis: Quite the eventful night for Matt Beleskey, who played a big role in a game that saw the two teams combine for 165 PIM. He typically isn't used on the power play, but due to all the penalties Sunday, Beleskey got a chance with the man advantage, scoring a goal in the process. Playing on the third line, Beleskey won't put up big numbers, but he should definitely surpass the career-high 24 points he recorded in 55 games last season.

Ducks' Beleskey Scores Fourth Goal In Five Games

News: Matt Beleskey scored his fourth goal in five games in Sunday's win over the Blues.
Analysis: Although he doesn't see much power-play time, Matt Beleskey is looking great, even after moving off the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Even as the Ducks look to give Devante Smith-Pelly more of look on the top line, Beleskey should at least continue to mix in occasionally.

Goal Streak At Three Games For Ducks' Beleskey

News: Matt Beleskey tallied a goal Tuesday against the Flyers, the third straight game in which he's found the net.
Analysis: After Patrick Maroon sustained a leg injury in Monday's win over the Sabres, Matt Beleskey was elevated to the top line Tuesday night, and didn't disappoint, attempting five shots on goal. He'll retain plenty of value while he plays alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry on the top line and power-play unit, and could even stick there once Maroon is deemed ready to return. Don't hesitate to scoop Beleskey up in deeper formats.

Ducks' Beleskey Nets Goal Saturday

News: Matt Beleskey tallied a goal in Saturday's win over Detroit.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey answered the goal scored by the Red Wings' Gustav Nyquist to kick off the third period with a marker of his own just a minute and a half later. The 26-year-old has been skating on the second line next to center Ryan Getzlaf over the first two games, but he could get a top-line look at some point while the Ducks wait for Dany Heatley (groin) to return from IR.

Ducks' Beleskey May Need Surgery

News: Matt Beleskey is suffering from a torn abdominal muscle that may require surgery, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Keep an eye out for another update from the team when a decision is made regarding whether or not Matt Beleskey will undergo surgery. The winger registered two goals and two assists in five playoff games before getting hurt.

Ducks' Beleskey Out For Rest Of Series

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) will be out for the remainder of the Ducks' series with the Kings, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey hasn't been making enough progress in his recovery over the next couple of days for coach Bruce Boudreau to seriously consider using him in Game 6 or a potential Game 7. The Ducks hope to have him available at some point should they reach the Western Conference Finals.

Ducks' Beleskey Likely Out Again For Game 6

News: Coach Bruce Boudreau doesn't expect to have Matt Beleskey (lower body) available for Wednesday's Game 6 vs. the Kings, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
Analysis: After Matt Beleskey wasn't able to participate in Tuesday's practice, Boudreau appears content to proceed with the same lineup he used in Game 5. The Ducks have won three games in a row, the latter two without the services of Beleskey.

Ducks' Beleskey To Miss Game 5

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) will miss Monday's Game 5 against the Kings.
Analysis: After Matt Beleskey was unable to take part in Sunday's practice, coach Bruce Boudreau went ahead and ruled the forward out for the second consecutive game. Beleskey had been highly productive for the Ducks in Games 1 through 3, totaling a goal, six penalty minutes, 17 hits and a blocked shot.

Ducks' Beleskey Won't Play In Game 4

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) will not play in Saturday's Game 4.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey suffered a lower-body injury during Thursday's Game 3 and was not present at Saturday's morning skate. In five postseason games, Beleskey has recorded two goals and a pair of assists. Dan Winnik will enter the lineup in his place Saturday.

Ducks' Beleskey Suffers Lower-Body Injury

News: Matt Beleskey is day-to-day after suffering a lower-body injury during Thursday's Game 3 win over the Kings.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey has been a healthy scratch for four of the Ducks' nine playoff games, but he has two goals and two assists in the five contests he's played. If he's unable to play in Saturday's Game 4, it would likely pave the way for Daniel Winnik to rejoin the lineup. The Ducks could also consider recalling Emerson Etem, who was reassigned to AHL Norfolk before Thursday's game.

Beleskey Lights Lamp As Ducks Lose Opener

News: Matt Beleskey scored his team's opening goal during the first period of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings on Saturday night.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey has been productive during his limited postseason time, getting two goals and two assists in only three playoff games this year.

Ducks' Beleskey Leaves Practice Early Tuesday

News: Matt Beleskey left Tuesday's practice early after experiencing some discomfort during his workout, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Any pain Matt Beleskey might have been dealing with was likely related to the lower-body injury that kept him out for four games of the Ducks' first-round series victory over the Stars. Coach Bruce Boudreau indicated that he didn't believe Beleskey suffered any sort of setback with the injury while practicing, so his early exit might have only been precautionary.

Ducks' Beleskey Returns

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) is slated to play Sunday against the Stars, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey returns to the Ducks' lineup on Sunday after having missed the team's last four games. Beleskey last suited up in Game 1 of the team's current playoff series against Dallas on April 16.

Ducks' Beleskey Poised To Return

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) is on track to play Sunday against the Stars, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: "I felt great. Full speed, no setbacks...100% this morning," Matt Beleskey said after skating Sunday morning. The forward has missed four straight games after notching two points in Game 1 of the Ducks' series against the Stars back on April 16.

Ducks' Beleskey Iffy For Friday

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Stars, Mark Stepneski of stars.nhl.com reports.

Ducks' Beleskey (Lower Body) Traveling With Team

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) did not participate in Saturday's practice, but he will join the team on Sunday's flight to Dallas.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey tallied two points in Wednesday's Game 1 victory but sustained a lower-body injury and sat out Friday's contest. While his absence from Saturday's practice isn't overly encouraging, the Ducks don't play until Monday so it's possible he could make a return for Game 3.

Ducks' Beleskey Out Friday

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) will not play in Friday's game against the Stars.
Analysis: The nature and extent of Matt Beleskey's setback are uncertain, but whatever ailment he is dealing with will prevent him from taking the ice Friday. Consider him questionable for Monday's Game 3.

Ducks' Beleskey (Lower Body) Doesn't Skate

News: Matt Beleskey (lower body) did not participate in Anaheim's Friday morning skate, the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey's Game 2 playing status was thought to hinge on whether he could practice Friday, so he's probably doubtful for the evening contest. If he indeed misses out, expect Devante Smith-Pelly to fill his role.

Beleskey Impressive In Ducks' Game 1 Victory

News: Matt Beleskey scored a power play goal and nabbed an assist during a 4-3 defeat of the Stars in the opening game of the playoffs on Wednesday.
Analysis: Matt Beleskey has had a pretty productive April so far and, if Wednesday's strong performance is any indication, he intends to continue that high level of play into the postseason.
