News: Jeff Frazee signed a contract with HC Valpellice of the Elite A league in Italy, the team's website reports.
Analysis: Jeff Frazee played in one game with the Devils in 2012-13 and spent most of the last three seasons with AHL Albany. He had a 2.58 GAA in 28 minor league games last season and will now work on his game abroad.

Devils GM Intends To Re-Sign Frazee

News: Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said Wednesday that he has "every intention" of re-signing Jeff Frazee, the Bergen Record's Tom Gulitti reports.
Analysis: Jeff Frazee spent nearly all of the final year of his two-year, two-way contract with the Devils playing for AHL Albany, where the 26-year-old posted a 2.58 GAA and a .916 save percentage. He played less than 19 minutes in just one game with New Jersey, but it sounds like the team wants to keep Frazee in the organization.

Devils' Frazee Sent To AHL

News: Jeff Frazee has been returned to AHL Albany, the Bergen Record's Tom Gulitti reports.
Analysis: Jeff Frazee, who saw just 19 minutes of ice time and three shots during his recall -- will head back down to the minors with Martin Brodeur having been activated from IR.

Devils' Frazee Perfect In Relief

News: Jeff Frazee turned away all three shots he faced in the third period of Saturday's game against Carolina. He entered the net to start the frame after starter Johan Hedberg struggled.
Analysis: Jeff Frazee wasn't expected to see much playing time while Martin Brodeur recovers from a back injury, but Hedberg has been atrocious -- Frazee might get the tap sooner rather than later.

Devils' Frazee Doesn't Anticipate A Start

News: Jeff Frazee believes he won't start either of the Devils' games this weekend, the Bergen Record's Tom Gulitti reports.
Analysis: Jeff Frazee was recalled by the Devils on Wednesday to backup Johan Hedberg while Martin Brodeur (back) is out of the lineup. It's unlikely that Frazee will start either of the Devils' contests this weekend against Carolina or Winnipeg, but there's no definitive word.

Devils Recall Frazee

News: The Devils have recalled Jeff Frazee, the Bergen Record's Tom Gulitti reports.
Analysis: Jeff Frazee, who is 7-9-4 with a 2.33 goals-against average in 21 games for Albany to date, will replace Keith Kinkaid in the Devils' goaltending mix (joining Johan Hedberg) for now, with Martin Brodeur still not ready to play.

Devils Send Frazee To AHL

News: Jeff Frazee was assigned to the AHL on Saturday, Bergen Record writer Tom Gulitti reports.
Analysis: With a sub-.900 save percentage in the AHL, this year, Jeff Frazee could use a bit more polish.

Devils Recall Frazee

News: Jeff Frazee has been called up by the Devils, ESPN New York reports.
Analysis: With Martin Brodeur dealing with an ankle injury, the Devils needed some extra depth in the net for the next few days. Brodeur said he could play if necessary, so chances are this callup will not last long for Jeff Frazee.

Devils' Frazee Out With Hyperextended Elbow

News: Jeff Frazee has reportedly been out with a hyperextended elbow, The Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: It is an unfortunate injury for Jeff Frazee, who was considered to be one of the first players in line to be called up for the Devils if need be. Hopefully he can make a quick recovery.

Frazee Re-Signs With Devils

News: Frazee re-signed with New Jersey, inking a two-year, two-way contract, the Bergen Record's Tom Gulitti Analysis: Frazee can expect another season in the AHL with Johan Hedberg being the highest paid spectator in the Prudential Center. Frazee hasn't been able to solidify a role beyond AHL prospect with the Devils, but will be around for at least two more years and should be one of the first players called up if Martin Brodeur or Hedberg becomes injured.

Devils' Frazee Out Two Weeks

News: Frazee (knee surgery) had successful exploratory surgery Monday on his knee, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: Frazee is likely out another two weeks, but nothing was found too detrimental to his healthy during the surgery. He remains one of the team's top goaltending prospects, despite average numbers in the AHL.

Devils' Frazee To Have Knee Surgery

News: Frazee (knee) will undergo knee surgery as a precautionary measure, the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Frazee's one of the team's higher rated goaltending prospects and is having a pedestrian season in the AHL, with a 9-11-3 record and a 2.77 goals-against average. Frazee's name always pops up when the "life after Martin Brodeur" discussion ensues. Keep his name in mind for a few years down the road. He's seen little NHL action in his career.

Devils Keep Frazee In AHL

News: Frazee has not been recalled as previously expected to back up Johan Hedberg on Wednesday night.
Analysis: Mike McKenna is up from Albany instead, so Frazee will remain in the AHL for now. In the event that Martin Brodeur (elbow) lands on IR, there's a good chance Frazee would be brought up and McKenna would be sent back down.

Frazee Recalled By Devils

News: Frazee was recalled by the Devils on Tuesday from Albany (AHL), likely to serve as backup to Johan Hedberg Wednesday, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: Frazee likely won't see game action during this stint with the Devils unless Martin Brodeur (bruised elbow) is out longer than anticipated.

Devils Promote Frazee From Minors

News: The Devils have recalled Frazee from AHL Albany. He will serve as the backup netminder to Johan Hedberg with Martin Brodeuer (elbow) unavailable for Friday's game, the Devils' official site reports.
Analysis: Frazee will serve as the emergency option for the struggling Devils. In other words, Hedberg would need to get injured or struggle badly before Frazee would be considered for stopping pucks against New York.

Devils send Frazee to Albany

News: Frazee was returned to Albany (AHL) Wednesday, the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Frazee's the top goaltending prospect in the team's system and is the leading heir apparent to Martin Brodeur.

Frazee back practicing again

News: The Newark Star-Ledger reports that Devils G Jeff Frazee, who suffered a skate cut to his throat in the preseason, has begun practicing again in the AHL.
Analysis: Frazee is a second-round pick from 2005 that went 28-22-6 with a 2.62 GAA in his first pro season (AHL) in 2008-09. He has minimal keeper value for the time being.

Frazee recalled on emergency basis

News: The Bergen County Record reports Devils goalie Martin Brodeur, who injured his left elbow during Saturday's game against the Thrashers, will have a MRI and X-rays Sunday but has already been ruled out for Monday's game against Buffalo, according to Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello. Kevin Weekes is expected to start in Brodeur's place and goalie Jeff Frazee has been recalled from Trenton of the ECHL on an emergency basis.
Analysis: Frazee is a second-round pick from 2005 that is in his first full pro season after finishing his college career. He might not have a long stay with the Devils, so continue to ignore him in Fantasy.
