Mikko Lehtonen Signs to Play In Russia

News: Lehtonen has agreed to a contract for next season with Severstal Cherepovets of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: The Wild acquired Lehtonen in a trade for Anton Khudobin in February and hoped to sign him for 2011-12. They could still convince him to change his mind, but it looks like he'll be playing in Russia. Lehtonen led the Swedish Elite League last season with 33 goals.

Lehtonen Wants To Join Wild Next Season

News: Lehtonen, who leads the Swedish Elite League in goals, wants to come over for next season's training camp with the Wild, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
Analysis: Lehtonen's two NHL games while with the Bruins were pretty uneventful, but his success in Sweden hints that he could do more damage in North America in his next stint there. He's worth considering in keeper leagues where the obvious prospects have long since been plucked.
