Preds' Wilson Playing In Game 5

News: Colin Wilson (undisclosed) was on the ice for pregame warmups Thursday, making him a sure bet to play in Game 5 against the Blackhawks.
Analysis: Colin Wilson missed Thursday's pregame skate for an undisclosed issue, but it appears it was nothing that'll prevent him from playing. He was on the second line in warmups, which is where he's expected to play in the game.

Preds' Wilson Skips Pregame Skate

News: Colin Wilson did not take part in Thursday's morning skate, The Tennessean reports.
Analysis: Colin Wilson, who has notched four goals in four playoff games to date, saw 27:50 worth of ice time in the Preds' triple-overtime loss to Chicago in Game 4 on Tuesday, so his absence from the team's pregame skate in advance of Thursday's Game 5 could be maintenance-related.

Preds' Wilson Scores Again In Game 2 Win

News: Colin Wilson netted his third goal of the playoffs in Friday's Game 2 win over Chicago.
Analysis: Colin Wilson is off to a red-hot start in the postseason and currently leads the league in goals. The 25-year-old, who found twine 20 times in the regular season, has fired a whopping 12 shots on goal in just two playoff games and has scored on the power play in back-to-back games. He's emerged as a key piece in Nashville and will continue to drive the offense on the second line with the talented James Neal.

Two Goals For Preds' Wilson In Playoff Opener

News: Colin Wilson potted two goals -- both in the first period -- in Wednesday's 4-3 Game 1 loss to Chicago.
Analysis: Colin Wilson started -- and capped off -- an explosive three-goal first period by the Predators, only to be erased by a three-goal second frame by the Hawks. Wilson ended up taking six shots on goal in the double-overtime affair, so look for him to tickle the twine a few more times this series as long as he's shooting regularly.

Preds' Wilson Adds Helper In Loss To Avs

News: Colin Wilson notched an assist during Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Colorado, his first point in six games.
Analysis: With 42 points in 75 games, it's been a career season for Colin Wilson, but he's still a very streaky player who tends to disappear for long stretches at a time. Case in point - Wilson was on fire during December and January, racking up 23 points (11G, 12A) in 25 games. However, in the 29 games since then, he's managed just nine points (5G, 4A).

Preds' Wilson Likely To Return To Lineup

News: Colin Wilson (lower body) participated in the Preds' morning skate and appears likely to play Tuesday against the Canadiens.
Analysis: Colin Wilson returned to practice Monday and looked to be a full participant in line rushes Tuesday, claiming a spot on the top trio next to Mike Ribeiro and Gabriel Bourque. The winger missed a game over the weekend against the Sabres due to the injury, but barring a setback in warmups, he should be on tap to play Tuesday.

Preds' Wilson Practices Monday, May Play Tuesday

News: Updating a previous report, Colin Wilson (lower-body) did take part in Monday's practice, skating on a line with Mike Ribeiro and Gabriel Bourque, the Tennessean reports. "I'm feeling good," Wilson said afterwards. "It was just a minor thing I had to take care of and now I'm back at it."
Analysis: Previously, Colin Wilson's status for Tuesday's game against the Canadiens was somewhat in doubt, however now it looks like he may wind up playing. Either way, Wilson had just a single point in his last 13 games prior to the injury, so fantasy owners should feel no rush to get him back in their lineups.

Preds' Wilson (Lower Body) Misses Practice Monday

News: Colin Wilson (lower body) missed practice Monday and remains day-to-day.
Analysis: Colin Wilson suffered a lower-body injury in practice last Thursday, and hasn't returned to the ice since. He's still considered day-to-day, but will likely return to practice before rejoining the lineup.

Preds' Wilson Set To Miss Saturday's Game

News: Colin Wilson (lower body) wasn't on the ice for the Preds' morning skate and appears to be out of the lineup Saturday against the Sabres.
Analysis: Colin Wilson has yet to take the ice since sustaining the injury during Thursday's practice. Coach Peter Laviolette relayed Friday that the Predators are listing Wilson as day-to-day, so there's a chance the winger could be available for Tuesday's match with the Canadiens.

Preds Listing Wilson As Day-To-Day

News: Colin Wilson (lower body) is being listed as day-to-day ahead of Saturday's game against the Sabres.
Analysis: Colin Wilson was absent from Friday's practice after injuring himself in Thursday's team session. The Predators have recalled Viktor Arvidsson from AHL Milwaukee under emergency conditions, so he could potentially enter the lineup Saturday if Wilson is unable to go. Expect a ruling on Wilson's status to come Saturday morning.

Preds' Wilson Not Practicing

News: Colin Wilson (lower body) is not practicing Friday, NHL.com's Brooks Bratten reports.
Analysis: Colin Wilson suffered the injury during Thursday's practice, and he doesn't seem like a good bet to play in Saturday's game against the Sabres. With James Neal (upper body) also missing Friday's practice, recent call-up Viktor Arvidsson is positioned to skate on the first line.

Preds' Wilson Suffers Injury In Practice

News: Colin Wilson left Thursday's practice early with a lower-body injury, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
Analysis: Coach Peter Laviolette didn't have an update on Colin Wilson's condition after the session, other than saying that the winger was being evaluated. Wilson, who has 20 goals and 40 points in 68 games to date, should be considered day-to-day in advance of Saturday's tilt with the Sabres.

Preds' Wilson Struggling To Add Offense

News: Colin Wilson was held off the scoresheet for the fourth consecutive game Saturday against the Red Wings.
Analysis: Most fantasy owners probably jumped on the Colin Wilson bandwagon back in December, when he closed out the month with seven points in five games, and followed that up with 13 points in 12 games during the month of January. However, the lion's share of these points were recorded when Wilson was playing on the Preds' second line with Mike Fisher and James Neal; since then, he's been bumped down to the third line with Calle Jarnkrok and Mike Santorelli, where the scoring opportunities are harder to come by. At this point, it's probably best to keep Wilson on your fantasy bench until his prospects improve.

Preds' Wilson To Return Thursday

News: Colin Wilson (upper body) is on the ice for pregame warmups and appears set to play Thursday against the Jets.
Analysis: With the Predators' lone extra forward (Olli Jokinen) not taking part in the warmup, it appears the team fully expects to have Colin Wilson available following a two-game absence. The winger, who ranks is tied for fourth on the team with 36 points on the season, is set to skate alongside Mike Fisher and James Neal on the second line.

Preds' Wilson Nears Return

News: Colin Wilson (upper body) worked on the Preds' second line with Mike Fisher and James Neal during Thursday's morning skate, Brooks Bratten of predators.nhl.com reports.
Analysis: Colin Wilson, who has missed the Preds' last two games, thus appears to have a solid shot to suit up for Thursday's contest against the Jets, assuming no issues in warmups.

Preds' Wilson Skates Wednesday

News: Colin Wilson (upper body) skated during Wednesday's optional session, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.
Analysis: Colin Wilson's activity verifies that the injury that kept him out of Tuesday's win over the Lightning isn't anything overly serious. With the Predators already reassigning Viktor Stalberg back to AHL Milwaukee, it's expected that Wilson will return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Jets.

Preds' Wilson: Game-Time Decision Tuesday

News: Colin Wilson is a game-time decision for Tuesday's contest against the Lightning, but he said that he is feeling good, NHL.com's Robby Stanley reports.
Analysis: After missing Sunday's game against the Panthers, Colin Wilson may be ready to make a quick return. He was injured during Saturday's game against the Rangers, so even if he can't suit up Tuesday night, the issue does not seem to be too serious. He was able to participate in the Preds' morning skate.

Preds' Wilson Not Playing Tuesday

News: Colin Wilson (upper body) wasn't on the ice for pregame warmups and looks to be out for Tuesday's game against the Lightning, Kristopher Martel of FOX Sports reports.
Analysis: Colin Wilson participated in the Preds' morning skate and was seemingly on the cusp of a return, but it sounds like he wasn't quite back to 100 percent just yet. He'll be sidelined a second straight game as a consequence, with Viktor Stalberg drawing into the lineup in his place. Wilson will turn his attention toward a return Thursday against the Jets.

Preds' Wilson Out Sunday

News: Colin Wilson (upper body) will miss Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Analysis: Colin Wilson suffered the upper-body injury in Saturday's game against the Rangers, and it will hold him out Sunday as well. Olli Jokinen will draw back into the lineup in his place.

Preds' Wilson Leaves With Upper-Body Injury

News: Colin Wilson suffered an upper-body injury in the first period of Saturday's game against the Rangers and will not return.
Analysis: Colin Wilson was on the receiving end of a big hit and didn't return to the bench after the first intermission. After entering the season as mostly an afterthought in the fantasy realm, Wilson has seen his stock rise with a surprising 17 goals and 19 assists over 50 games this season. If his injury proves to be more than a day-to-day situation, the Predators could struggle to replace his production.

Preds' Wilson Picks Up Two Points

News: Colin Wilson picked up a power-play assist and scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's win over the Leafs.
Analysis: He'd been quiet lately, with a modest three points in the last seven games. But Colin Wilson's been a strong producer overall, with a solid 35 points in 48 games to show for the season.

Preds' Wilson Gets PP Goal

News: Colin Wilson recorded a power-play goal in Tuesday's win over the Avalanche.
Analysis: Colin Wilson saw a four-game point streak come to an end earlier this month, but his continued presence on a talented second line that includes Mike Fisher and James Neal along with the Preds' secondary power-play unit should allow him to maintain some value. With 32 points in 44 games, the 25-year-old is well on his way to blowing past his previous full season-best of 35 points.

Preds' Wilson Rips Off Four More Points

News: Colin Wilson carried the Nashville offense Tuesday in a 5-1 win over Vancouver, collecting two goals and two assists -- one of each on the power play.
Analysis: Is this guy on fire or what? He's now got points in four straight and a stunning 17 in total -- eight of them goals -- over his last 11 games. No one saw this coming, but everyone's in on the secret now. If he's out on any waiver wires still, it's past time to make a move.

Heater Continues For Preds' Wilson

News: Colin Wilson punched in his 12th goal of the year and added an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Wild. He also skated to a plus-2.
Analysis: The heater continues for Colin Wilson, who has now ripped off a rather ridiculous 13 points in his last 10 games. He's maintained his production while James Neal (lower body) has been sidelined for the last five games, grabbing six points during that span to help keep the Preds at the very top of the NHL standings. Oh, and if the recent scoring binge and 26 points on the year aren't enough for you, the former seventh-overall pick sits seventh in league plus/minus with (an also ridiculous) plus-20 rating. Yeah, he's been absolute cash lately so make sure you're milking him for all he's worth while the getting is good.

Preds' Wilson Continues To Light It Up

News: Colin Wilson registered a goal and an assist -- his eighth and ninth points in the last six games -- in Saturday's wild 7-6 victory over the Kings. He also skated to a plus-3.
Analysis: The good times continue for the scorching hot Connecticut native, who's up to an impressive 22 points, a plus-16 rating and 86 SOG in 35 games this year. Colin Wilson has been a force to be reckoned with over his last six games, firing 22 shots on goal and skating to a plus-8 in addition to the five goals and four assists he's piled up, so if you haven't given him a serious look yet, the time is now. That is, if someone else hasn't scooped him up. Check your wire.
