Bolts' Panik: Career Night

News: Richard Panik had the game of his career Saturday. He scored two goals, added an assist and finished plus-4 in Tampa Bay's 6-5 overtime loss to Washington. He also had four shots and four hits.
Analysis: He has points in back-to-back games and five in his last five. He has solid second-line upside, but he may not find himself there for a few years given the Bolts' firepower up front.

Bolts' Panik Nets Second Of Career

News: Richard Panik scored his second goal of the season in Saturday's loss to the Islanders. He has four points (two goals, two assists) in 15 games this season.
Analysis: He was producing at a solid clip in the AHL (41 points in 51 games), so there's clearly more in his tank than what he has shown so far.

Panik Recalled By Lightning

News: The Lightning have recalled Richard Panik from AHL Syracuse. "We felt like we needed another offensive player at forward," said Julien BriseBois, Tampa Bay's assistant GM.

Lightning's Panik Assigned to AHL Syracuse

News: Richard Panik has been assigned to AHL Syracuse, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Richard Panik scored one goal in his nine games this season for the Lightning. This transaction means that Ryan Malone must be close to returning from his lower body injury that has kept him sidelined for nearly a month.

Bolts' Panik Scores First NHL Goal

News: Richard Panik scored his first career NHL goal in Saturday's win over the Hurricanes. It stood up as the game-winner.
Analysis: The young man has nice hands and showed them off by flipping the puck from one side of the net to the other, retrieving it and then popping it home. His fantasy value remains limited, though -- his ice time is low and he probably will return to the AHL when Ryan Malone comes back from injury.
