Panthers' Dadonov Recalled From AHL

News: Evgeni Dadonov was recalled from San Antonio of the AHL on Wednesday, the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: In 13 NHL games this season, Evgeni Dadonov tallied two goals. In 13 AHL games, Dadonov tallied three goals and three assists. Dadonov may get a ton of playing time in the short-term, but his value is as a keeper prospect. The talented winger has plenty of upside and should be on your radar if he is not already.

Panthers Return Dadonov To AHL

News: Evgeni Dadonov was sent back to San Antonio (AHL) on Saturday, the Panthers' official Twitter feed reports.
Analysis: He's averaged a shade over 10 minutes per game with Florida this season, but has just two points (both goals) over 12 contests. Evgeni Dadonov should see a larger role with his return to the AHL.

Panthers' Dadonov Scratched Versus Sharks

News: Evgeni Dadonov will not play Saturday night when the Panthers traveled to San Jose to take on the Sharks, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: The move does not come as a total surprise as the Panthers have had to juggle their lineup extensively over the past couple of weeks while dealing with a multitude of injuries. Evgeni Dadonov has upside and is a player worth keeping an eye on in deeper keeper leagues.

Panthers Recall Dadonov

News: The Panthers recalled Evgeni Dadonov from AHL San Antonio on Saturday, according to the team's official Twitter page.
Analysis: Evgeni Dadonov gives the Panthers an extra forward with Scottie Upshall (upper body) uncertain for Sunday's game. Dadonov recorded 17 points (8G, 9A) in 36 games with the Panthers last season, so he has some scoring upside if he sees the ice.

Dadonov Scores Two For Panthers

News: Dadonov (finger) scored twice Saturday in a loss to the Islanders.
Analysis: He was sharp in his return to action. He's pushing to prove himself worthy of a roster spot for next season so watch for him to put the pedal to the metal in the remaining games. It may still not be enough to make him fantasy relevant but it could provide you with a glimpse of his potential for the future.

Dadonov Playing Saturday For Florida

News: Dadonov (finger) will play against the Islanders on Saturday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Since posting eight points in December, Dadonov hasn't been much of a fantasy option. He hasn't played since Feb. 2.

Panthers' Dadonov Could Play Saturday

News: Dadonov plans to test his injured finger Saturday against the Islanders, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Harvey Fialkov reports.
Analysis: Dadonov has missed roughly six weeks since breaking his finger in early February. His scoring had really trailed off before the injury, so the rookie should probably remain in the free agent pool in most leagues unless he starts showing some signs of production.

Panthers' Dadonov Nears Return

News: Dadonov (finger) is likely out for Tuesday's game and is "probable" for Thursday, reports the Miami Herald.

Panthers' Dadonov Out A Month

News: Dadonov will be out for at least a month after breaking his finger in Wednesday's loss to the Canadiens, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: The rookie got off to a quick start this season but had slowed down recently with just three points in his last 17 games. Darcy Hordichuk will take his place Friday against the Devils, and the Panthers will likely call up a forward from AHL Rochester to provide some extra depth.

Panthers' Dadonov May Have Suffered Broken Finger

News: Dadonov may have broken his finger late in the first period of Wednesday's 3-2 loss to Montreal, the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: We'll await confirmation on the injury, but it appears that Dadonov may be out for an extended period of time. The rookie, who started the season with two goals and six assists through his first eight games, has not found the score sheet in his last eight contests.

Panthers' Dadonov Returns Friday

News: Dadonov quietly returned from an ankle injury Friday night, skating for 13:44 with one shot on goal and a minus-3 rating.
Analysis: Dadonov has two goals and seven assists through 13 games with the Panthers this season. He's a usable fantasy option in a pinch, but not someone you want to rely on day in and day out.

Florida's Dadonov Out Wednesday

News: Dadonov (ankle) is not expected to play against Atlanta on Wednesday, Panthers play-by-play analyst Steve Goldstein reports.
Analysis: With nine points in 12 games so far in 2010, Dadonov has been one of the better fantasy bargains to this point. Darcy Hordichuk is expected to take his place in the lineup.

Panthers' Dadonov On Hot Streak

News: Dadonov has recorded seven points in his last five games and has been promoted to the top line, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Dadonov will skate with Stephen Weiss and Chris Higgins during Monday's game against the Bruins. Dadonov is worth grabbing while he's available; ride him while he remains hot.

Panthers call up two from AHL

News: The Miami Herald reports that Panthers RW Evgeni Dadonov and D Steve MacIntyre have been called up from the AHL.
Analysis: Dadonov has 40 points in his first North American season, while MacIntyre is just an enforcer with minimal offensive skills. Both guys can continue to be ignored in all Fantasy formats.

Dadonov officially leaves Russian team

News: The Sports Xchange reports prospect Evgeni Dadonov has officially left Russia and signed an entry level contract with the Panthers. He's expected to start the season with Rochester of the AHL.
Analysis: Dadonov, a 2007 third-round pick, has spent the last three seasons playing in Russia. He had 11 goals and 15 points in 40 games last season for Chelyabinsk Traktor. Dadonov is a small forward at 5-10, 178 pounds, but he has some developing offensive skills. He is not afraid to play in traffic and fight for the loose puck. He will get some time to work in the minors, so Dadonov is nothing more than a long-term Fantasy keeper.
