Three-Game Point Streak For Leafs' Holland

News: Peter Holland tallied a goal in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Flyers.
Analysis: The center has recorded a point in each of his last three games and was able to finish with a plus-2 in Saturday's contest, a surprising development given the final score. He probably remains an option only in deeper leagues at this time, however, as his presence on the third line offers him fewer scoring chances than desired.

Leafs' Holland: Two Points In Win

News: Peter Holland scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's win over Vancouver.
Analysis: It was a timely outburst for the talented center who had just one point in his previous nine. The Leafs activated Brandon Kozun from the IR earlier in the day and this effort may have helped Peter Holland stave off an almost inevitable trip to the press box. Be ready to bench him if you haven't already.

Leafs' Holland: Three-Game Streak

News: Peter Holland extended his point streak to three games and five points with a goal and an assist in Wednesday's victory over the Bruins. He now has a goal in each of his last three games.
Analysis: Look what happens when he gets consistent playing time. This year was a make or break for Mr. Peter Holland and so far, so good. Stick him into your lineup and take advantage.

Leafs' Holland: Two-Point Night

News: Peter Holland scored a goal and added an assist in Sunday's 5-3 win over Ottawa. He now has three points in his last two games.
Analysis: His game is starting to come together -- he actually has five points, including three goals, in his last six games. There might eventually be some fantasy value in him. Who knew?

Leafs' Holland Gets First Goal Of Season

News: Peter Holland scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's win over the Blackhawks. It stood up as the game-winner.
Analysis: He has a point in each of his last two games. Keep an eye on him -- the kid has talent and could end up being a decent deep-league option, particularly if you roll forwards rather than specific positions.

Leafs' Holland: Chance To Center Third Line?

News: Peter Holland's chances of making the Leafs as the team's third-line center are improving as teammate Petri Kontiola struggles in camp.
Analysis: Kontiola has been in the KHL for the last five years and is attempting a return to the NHL. But his play this preseason has been less than positive, opening the door for Peter Holland to take advantage. The Leafs want three scoring lines and Holland, who is 23, has shown hints of promise in his young career. Watch this situation carefully.

News: Peter Holland signed with the Maple Leafs on a two-year, one-way deal Wednesday, Jonas Siegel of TSN Radio 1050 reports.
Analysis: Peter Holland played in 39 games for the Leafs last season, scoring five goals and assisting on five others. He will likely spend time as a borderline player in 2014-15, and will use training camp as a chance to prove his worth to the coaches.

News: Peter Holland (illness) looks like he'll return to the lineup Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

Leafs' Holland Feeling Ill Thursday

News: Peter Holland (illness) was absent from Thursday's morning skate, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports.
Analysis: Unless Peter Holland is able to rally in the afternoon, it seems likely that he'll be out of the lineup Thursday vs. the Kings. With rosters expanding following the trade deadline, coach Randy Carlyle probably won't hesitate to give Holland the night off if he's at less than 100 percent.

News: Peter Holland (illness) will not play in Thursday's game against the Kings, TSN's Jonas Siegel reports.

Leafs Reassign Holland To Marlies

News: Peter Holland has been reassigned to the Marlies of the AHL, Renaud Lavoie of Journal de Montreal reports.

Leafs' Holland: Returns From Serious Injury

News: Peter Holland, who will slot back into the lineup Saturday after being out a month with lace bite, spent five days in hospital during his absence after the irritation became an infection, reports CBC's Hockey Night in Canada.
Analysis: Yikes, infections and hockey are bad news -- there's way too much bacteria in smelly equipment. It's great Peter Holland is better and ready to skate on the third line -- get ready to activate him.

Leafs' Holland Likely Out For Saturday

News: Peter Holland (foot) is not expected to play Saturday against the Canucks, James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail reports.
Analysis: Peter Holland has been sidelined for the previous three games with a case of "lace bite," an injury that stemmed from tying his skates too tight. With the Leafs not set to play again for two and a half weeks after Saturday's game, Holland figures to be at full strength coming out of the break.

News: Peter Holland (foot) will not play Tuesday against the Panthers, David Alter of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
Analysis: With Peter Holland still experiencing swelling due to a case of "lace-bite," he'll miss his second game in a row. If he fails to make much progress in his recovery over the next couple of days, the Leafs may elect to rule him out through the Olympic break.

Leafs Holland Suffering From Lace-Bite

News: Peter Holland (foot) is currently dealing with some sever swelling and is on crutches due to his "lace-bite" injury TSN's Mark Masters reports.
Analysis: The injury is a bit of a head-scratcher even to the Leafs' coaches, but with Peter Holland unable to even put weight on the foot, the team is unsure how long this will last. They've called up Greg McKegg in the meantime.

Leafs Recall Holland

News: Peter Holland was recalled from AHL Toronto on Monday, James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail reports.
Analysis: Though Peter Holland probably won't do much to help the Leafs' woes in possessing the puck, but he'll at least allow coach Randy Carlyle to give more regular breaks to Jay McClement, who had been skating 18-20 minutes in recent games. Jerry D'Amigo was shipped to the minors in a corresponding move.

Leafs Reassign Holland

News: The Maple Leafs reassigned Peter Holland to AHL Toronto on Wednesday, David Alter of Sportsnet 590 reports.
Analysis: Peter Holland has been solid for the Leafs this season, scoring six goals and four assists in 26 games so far. He'll likely be back in the NHL at some point, but for now, Carter Ashton will take Holland's place on the roster.

Leafs' Holland May Get Promotion To Second Line

News: Holland's recent play has impressed coach Randy Carlyle and he may get a spot on the second line as a result, reports the Toronto Star. "We feel if Peter Holland continues to play (as he has), he's going to challenge Nazee [Nazem Kadri] for that spot," said Carlyle after practice Monday.
Analysis: We wondered when this was coming. Peter Holland has shown real chemistry with second-line wingers Joffrey Lupul and Mason Raymond, while Kadri has not. And Kadri failed to impress with the first line when Tyler Bozak was out. Carlyle likes to shuffle lines, so this may only be a bow shot to light a fire under Kadri. But Holland's value could spike if it's for real. Monitor.

Leafs' Holland Dropped To Fourth Line

News: Peter Holland was dropped to the fourth line during Saturday's practice, Jonas Siegel of TSN reports.
Analysis: While it's unclear if the arrangement will hold Sunday against Carolina, the expected return of Tyler Bozak is going to hurt Peter Holland's ice time in a big way despite Holland's recent eight-point surge over the last 10 games.
