News: Roman Horak was recalled from AHL Oklahoma City on Thursday.
Analysis: Acquired for defenseman Ladislav Smid in November in a trade with the Flames, Roman Horak could make his Oilers debut Friday against his old team, as Mark Arcobello and Ryan Jones are both nursing injuries. Horak has seven goals and 11 assists over 31 games at the AHL level this season.

Flames Trade Horak To Oilers

News: Roman Horak was one of two prospects traded to the Oilers on Friday for defenseman Ladislav Smid, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: Roman Horak had seven points in 13 games for AHL Abbotsford and will more than likely stay in the minors with the Oilers' affiliate in Oklahoma City. Flames Reassign Horak

News: The Flames reassigned Roman Horak to AHL Abbotsford on Thursday.
Analysis: Roman Horak's now vacant roster spot will allow the Flames to activate Matt Stajan (leg) off of IR, making him available to play in Thursday's game. Horak has now seen NHL ice-time in each of the last three seasons, so he's a solid bet to get called back up later in the season, especially if the injury bug bites.

News: With the Flames' acquisition of yet another center in Michael Cammalleri, Roman Horak's time in the top four lines with the Flames may be coming to an end.
Analysis: Olli Jokinen, Cammalleri, Mikael Backlund and Blair Jones would appear to have the top four spots wrapped up, leaving Roman Horak the odd man out. Horak has had a decent rookie campaign, but struggled as the season wore on. He has nine points in 39 games with the Flames.
