Oilers' Hall Back On Top Line

News: Taylor Hall practiced on the top line Monday, according to the Oilers' official site.
Analysis: Taylor Hall was taken off the top line last week in order to shake things up, but once Benoit Pouliot went down with an injury, it was just a matter of time for Hall to be reunited with Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on the No. 1 trio.

Oilers Move Hall To Second Line

News: Taylor Hall has been moved to the second line, according to the Edmonton Sun.
Analysis: Coach Dallas Eakins is trying to shake things up for the Oil as the team is once again slumping. The hope is that if Taylor Hall can jump-start the second line that will even out the scoring for Edmonton. While that could happen, it's more likely that Hall will eventually end up back on the top line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle.

Oilers' Hall Scores In Return

News: Taylor Hall returned to the lineup Sunday, scoring his seventh goal of the season and recording five shots on goal in a loss to Arizona.
Analysis: You miss me? Now that's how you make your return to the lineup, as Taylor Hall didn't look a bit out of place Sunday. He is now up to 11 points in 12 games on the season, leading Edmonton in goals. Now that he's fully healthy, Hall needs to be in your lineup every night the Oilers take to the ice.

Oilers' Hall Will Play Against Coyotes

News: Taylor Hall (knee) will play in Sunday's game against the Coyotes.
Analysis: Taylor Hall has been sidelined with a knee injury for the past two weeks after injuring it against the Canucks. He was practicing with the Oilers' top power play line in their morning skate on Sunday which pretty much indicated that he will get the nod for their game later in the evening. Hall has scored six goals and four assists in 11 games so far this season.

Oilers' Hall Could Return To Action on Sunday

News: Taylor Hall (knee) was working with the Oilers' first power play unit in their morning skate on Sunday, Chris Wescott of the Oilers' official site reports.
Analysis: This may be a good sign that Taylor Hall will return to action on Sunday against the Coyotes. He originally injured his knee two weeks ago and was expected to miss up to four weeks so Hall has recovered well in just two weeks. The 23-year-old winger has had a nice start to the season, scoring six goals and four assists in eleven games played.

Oilers' Hall Could Return Sunday

News: Taylor Hall (knee) could return to action Sunday against the Coyotes, Derek Van Diest of the Edmonton Sun reports.
Analysis: Taylor Hall participated fully in Saturday's practice and didn't seem to be facing any restrictions, which might be enough for the Oilers' medical staff to sign off on his return. An official ruling on his status for Sunday's game would likely be decided after the Oilers complete their morning skate. Hall had six goals and 10 points in 11 games before suffering the MCL sprain two weeks ago.

Oilers' Hall Skates Thursday, But Not Playing

News: Taylor Hall (knee) took part in the Oilers' morning skate, Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports.
Analysis: Taylor Hall resumed skating Monday and seems to be making decent progress while recovering from the knee injury, but he still needs more practice time before returning to the lineup. The Oilers haven't ruled Hall out from playing Sunday against the Coyotes, making it worthwhile for his fantasy owners to monitor his involvement in practice over the next couple of days.

Oilers' Hall Skates Monday

News: Taylor Hall skated for the first time since suffering his knee injury Monday, according to the Oilers web site.
Analysis: Taylor Hall is still not expected to return to the Oilers lineup for at least another week. Hall was leading the Oilers in scoring at the time of the injury and is sorely missed on the top line with Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

Oilers Place Hall On IR

News: Taylor Hall was moved to injured reserve on Sunday.
Analysis: With their star player slated to miss the next two-to-four weeks after suffering the knee injury Saturday night, the Oilers could be a world of hurt for the next several games. Nail Yakupov is expected to receive the first crack at replacing Taylor Hall on Edmonton's top line.

Oilers' Hall Out Two-To-Four Weeks With MCL Sprain

News: Taylor Hall (knee) will miss two-to-four weeks with an MCL sprain.
Analysis: Taylor Hall's extended absence is devastating for the Oilers. He leads the team in both goals (six) and points (10) this season, but now will miss a minimum of two weeks after running into the post Saturday against the Canucks. The team will likely make a move in the near future to add depth among the forwards.

Hall (Lower Body) To Stay In Edmonton

News: Taylor Hall (lower body) won't join his teammates as they leave on a road trip to Philadelphia and will undergo an MRI on Sunday, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.
Analysis: Taylor Hall's status for Tuesday's game seems doubtful, but his results from the MRI should shed more light on the situation. The Oilers are heading out for a five-game road trip starting in Philadelphia on Tuesday, and Hall should join them at some point unless the MRI reveals something serious.

Oilers' Hall Leaves Game With Lower-Body Injury

News: Taylor Hall will not return to Saturday's game against the Canucks after suffering a lower-body injury after hitting the net on a wide drive in the second period, reports the CBC's Hockey Night in Canada.
Analysis: His right hip appeared to hit the post and lower edge, and he was seen limping back to the dressing room right after the injury. He's the heart and soul of the Oilers right now, so a prolonged absence would deal the team a significant blow.

Oilers' Hall Pots Penalty-Shot Goal Monday

News: Taylor Hall converted a second-period penalty shot Monday for his fourth goal of the year in a win over the Lightning. He also picked up an assist, fired three shots on net and was a plus-2.
Analysis: Taylor Hall has been, by far, Edmonton's best player this season and Monday was no exception. He now has six points in six games and should continue to produce on a near-nightly basis for the Copper and Blue.

Oilers' Hall Nets Three Points Wednesday

News: Taylor Hall scored two goals and added an assist while skating to a plus-2 in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Coyotes.
Analysis: Taylor Hall found a way to rise above the Oilers' mediocrity in this one, bringing his point total to four in four games played this season. As long as his rough-and-tumble ways don't get the better of him in the injury department, the 2010 first-overall pick should again reach the point-per-game plateau this year.

Oilers' Hall Has Respectable Preseason

News: Taylor Hall finished the preseason with two goals and no assists in three games played.
Analysis: Taylor Hall had the best season of his young career in 2013-14, finishing with 27 goals and 53 assists. He is projected to have a similar offensive output in 2014-15, with duty on the top line with Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins looming. Like the rest of his linemates, the youthful Hall has barely scratched the surface of his immense talent. It's not out of the realm of possibility for him to make the leap to 35-goal production as he enters his fifth NHL campaign.

Hall's Three Assists Carry Oilers Over Canucks

News: Taylor Hall closed the season on a high note Saturday, bagging three assists as the Oilers whipped Vancouver, 5-2.
Analysis: By any account, this was breakthrough season for the 22-year-old, who amassed 80 points in 75 games. It remains to be seen whether the Oilers can convert a substantial base of young talent into a winning team, but Taylor Hall has arrived as a star player.

Four More Points For Oilers' Hall

News: Taylor Hall tallied a goal and three assists in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Sharks.
Analysis: Taylor Hall's already been in the midst of his finest NHL campaign, but he reached a new milestone Tuesday, clearing 70 points in a season for the first time in his career. He's now at 72 in just 69 games. If Edmonton can improve the team around him, Hall could be even better next year.

Oilers' Hall Continues To Hum Along

News: Taylor Hall registered a goal and assist in Tuesday's loss to the Sharks.
Analysis: In the midst of a disappointing season for the Oilers, Taylor Hall has remained a shining star, totaling 67 points over 66 games. He's remained especially effective in the dog days of the season, with points in four of his last five games.

Oilers' Hall Sits For Maintenance Monday

News: Taylor Hall missed Monday's practice for maintenance purposes, but will play Tuesday against the Wild.
Analysis: Although coach Dallas Eakins said Taylor Hall is a little bit banged up, it hasn't been reflected in the forward's performance. He has two goals and three assists over his last three games to bring him up to 61 points in 58 games on the season.

Oilers' Hall Nets Two Assists

News: Taylor Hall notched a pair of assists in Tuesday's win over the Senators -- his first points in three games since the Olympics.
Analysis: After he went minus-3 with no points in his first two games out of the break, Taylor Hall's fantasy owners have to be happy to see him bust out. Of course, with 58 points in 56 games on the year, they've had little to complain about from the 22-year-old winger -- except that minus-13 rating.

Hall Nets Oil's Lone Goal

News: Taylor Hall scored Edmonton's only goal in Friday's loss to New Jersey, his second goal in a four-game span.
Analysis: Taylor Hall was active in the loss, knotting up the contest mere moments after New Jersey opened the scoring. The high-energy winger tallied his 20th goal of the season and remains ahead of a point-per-game pace with 56 in 53 tilts.

Oilers' Hall Snaps Two Game Point Drought

News: Taylor Hall had an assist in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: After posting a 16-point January, the assist snaps a modest two-game pointless drought for the talented left-winger. Overall, Taylor Hall has 55 points (19 goals) through 52 games played.
