Sens' Culek Placed On Waivers

News: Jakub Culek was placed on unconditional waivers Wednesday, likely for the purpose of his release, ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun reports.
Analysis: Jakub Culek, who was drafted by the Senators in the third round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, didn't develop as the organization had hoped. He appeared in just 12 AHL games over the last three seasons, instead spending most of his time in the ECHL. The Czech Republic native is expected to pursue an opportunity in Europe.

Sens Sign Culek To Entry-Level Deal

News: Jakub Culek signed an entry-level contract with the Senators on Friday, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The 19-year-old, who was the team's third-round choice in the 2010 entry draft, put up 40 points (13G, 27A) in 55 Canadian Hockey League games this year. That brought Jakub Culek to a total of 109 points (33G, 76A) in his 173 career games at that level, and he'll look to make a successful transition to the AHL.
