Sens' Stone Still Nursing Microfracture

News: Though he wasn't forced to miss any games of the Senators' first-round playoff series loss to the Canadiens, Mark Stone remains bothered by a right wrist injury suffered in the April 15 Game 1 defeat, TSN.ca reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone was diagnosed with a microfracture and ligament damage to his wrist after he took a violent slash from the Habs' P.K. Subban. He was able to gut it out and return to the lineup for Game 2, and while he failed to register a goal during the series, he still finished with four assists over the six games. With some proper time off to rest up and rehab the injury, Stone should be good to go for training camp in the fall.

Stone Helps Keep Sens Alive

News: Mark Stone had an assist - his fourth of the series - in Ottawa's Game 5 drubbing of Montreal on Friday.
Analysis: Mark Stone often had the puck on his stick for scoring chances created by his breakaway speed. It's no mystery why he is a finalist for the Calder Trophy.

Sens' Stone Grabs Two Assists In Game 2

News: Mark Stone picked up two helpers in Friday's Game 2 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
Analysis: While Mark Stone is currently dealing with a wrist injury, he still managed to be very effective for the Sens in the loss. It's worth noting, however, that the 22-year-old sniper didn't record a shot on goal for just the first time in nine games. While the wrist fracture is likely to hurt his overall production, Stone should still be able to pile up points in a top-six role for the Sens.

Ottawa's Stone (Wrist) Playing In Game 2

News: Mark Stone (wrist) will play in Game 2 against the Canadiens, John Lu of TSN reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone reportedly looked uncomfortable in warmups, but took part in line rushes and will give it a go. Assuming no setbacks occur, it seems likely he'll play the remainder of the series.

Sens' Stone (Wrist) A Game-Time Call

News: Mark Stone (wrist) is a game-time call for Friday's Game 2 against the Canadiens, Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone, who was deemed "very questionable" for the rest of the series Thursday, seems to have improved over the past couple of days. Coach Dave Cameron indicated that if Stone does not suffer a setback, he'll likely see some ice time Friday. "If he's not in jeopardy and real fragile, I think you'll see him in the game," Cameron said.

Sens' Stone 'Very Questionable' For Rest Of Series

News: General manager Bryan Murray said Mark Stone (wrist) is being viewed as "very questionable" for the remainder of the Senators' first-round series with the Canadiens, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Analysis: After taking a slash to the right wrist from the Habs' P.K. Subban during Wednesday's Game 1 loss, Mark Stone was diagnosed with a microfracture and ligament damage, putting his status in jeopardy for Friday's Game 2 and beyond. The potential loss of Stone would be potentially crippling to the Senators, as he's been one of the game's best scorers since the All-Star break, racking up 15 goals and 38 points in 36 second-half contests. Look for the team to reach a formal decision on Stone's status Friday morning, but with Murray relaying that the winger has "little mobility" in his wrist, he figures to have a limited impact even if he does play.

Sens' Stone Could Miss Time With Wrist Injury

News: Mark Stone is dealing with a microfracture of his right wrist.
Analysis: As a result, Mark Stone's availability as the Sens' playoff series against Montreal continues, is unclear at this time. At this stage though, we'd be surprised to see Stone play in Friday's Game 2 in Montreal. Stone's absence, for any length of time, would represent a major blow to the Sens' attack, with the 22-year-old coming off a season in which notched 64 points in 80 games.

Sens' Stone May Have Injured Wrist

News: Mark Stone appeared to injure his wrist in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.
Analysis: Mark Stone went to the locker room after being slashed by the Habs' P.K. Subban during Wednesday's game, though he did return to the ice. Subban was given a five minute major and ejected for the slash, and could face a suspension. Stone appeared to be favoring his hand when he came back into the game, so his status is certainly worth monitoring moving forward.

Stone Carries Senators To Playoffs

News: Mark Stone potted a pair of goals in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Flyers.
Analysis: Fellow rookie Andrew Hammond has captured most of the attention during the Senators' spectacular finish to the season that ultimately resulted in a playoff bid, but Mark Stone's emergence down the stretch has been similarly essential. The 22-year-old ended the regular season on a nine-game point streak, tallying eight goals and five assists to go with a plus-6 rating during that span. The late charge allowed Stone to finish in a tie with the Flames' Johnny Gaudreau for the rookie scoring title with 64 points.

Stone Powers Sens' Comeback Win

News: Mark Stone scored a third-period goal as well as the game-winner in overtime Tuesday in a 4-3 comeback victory against Pittsburgh.
Analysis: The guy's just a monster, and he's over 60 points here in his first full NHL season. Just imagine if he'd been seeing top-line ice time all year long -- he might be pushing 80. In calendar year 2015, Mark Stone has 44 points in 44 games, and he's on a particularly hot run right now, with six goals and four assists over a seven-game point streak.

Sens' Stone Finishing The Season Red-Hot

News: Mark Stone remained red-hot Sunday, potting his 22nd goal of the season and adding an assist in a shootout loss to Toronto.
Analysis: That's a six-game-point streak for Mark Stone, who has netted four goals in that span. Stone has gone beast mode of late, firing a whopping 20 shots on goal in his last four outings. The 22-year-old is just one point away from reaching the 60-point barrier and makes for a great fantasy play in the Sens' final three games of the regular season.

Sens' Stone Stays Hot

News: Mark Stone scored Ottawa's lone regulation goal, assisted on the overtime winner and went plus-2 against Tampa Bay on Thursday.
Analysis: The 22-year-old just keeps on rolling, having tallied up 11 points in his last nine games. If the Sens can sneak into the playoffs, he's going to give the opposition something to fear.

Sens' Stone Says Hot Saturday

News: Mark Stone netted his 19th goal of the season in Saturday's loss to the Maple Leafs.
Analysis: Mark Stone's goal gave the Sens an early 1-0 lead and the forward his 13th point in as many contests. The 22-year-old will finish the season with somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 points, and there's a good chance that may only represent the low end of his production in future years.

Stone Dishes Three As Sens Win

News: Mark Stone dished out three assists -- one on an empty-netter -- in Thursday's 6-4 win over Boston.
Analysis: The breakout just keeps on rolling. Mark Stone's now right on the verge of a 50-point season here in his first full NHL campaign, and at just 22 years old, the best is yet to come.

Sens' Stone Sinks Carolina

News: Mark Stone scored his 18th goal of the season with 14 seconds remaining in overtime Tuesday to deliver a 2-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: Consistency's been the name of the game for Mark Stone, who's got solid numbers for the season, but has been bordering on great since the calendar turned to 2015. He hasn't been off the scoresheet for more than two consecutive games since the end of December, and he owns 29 points in his last 33 games.

Sens' Stone Keeps Rolling

News: Mark Stone picked up an assist in Friday's win over the Islanders.
Analysis: Mark Stone has continued to roll thus far in March, recording two goals and four assists over seven games. The 22-year-old is quietly on track for a 55-point campaign in his first full NHL season, which may only be scratching the surface of what he can provide in future years. Though he's already made himself an asset in season-long leagues, he'll hold even more value in dynasty formats.

Stone Leads Senators Past Sabres

News: Mark Stone contributed a goal and an assist in Friday's win over Buffalo.
Analysis: Another strong outing from Mark Stone, who has five points in his last four games, giving him 16 goals, 42 points and a plus-13 rating in 61 games on the season. The 22-year-old has emerged as a key second-line contributor for the surging Senators and is worth looking at right now.

Sens' Stone Scores 15th Goal In Win

News: Mark Stone potted his 15th goal of the season and had an assist in Saturday's win over the Sharks.
Analysis: Mark Stone has recorded two goals and six points in his last five games, giving him 39 points and a plus-11 rating in 58 games on the season. Skating on a line with Kyle Turris, the 22-year-old is an emerging fantasy threat and is worth adding while the Senators are hot.

Sens' Stone Has Three Point Night Wednesday

News: Mark Stone racked up a goal and two assists in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens.
Analysis: The young winger has had a great year for the Senators, and has emerged as a solid fantasy producer as well. He currently has 14 goals and 22 assists to go along with a plus-7 rating through 54 games.

Three-Game Point Streak For Sens' Stone

News: Mark Stone tallied two assists in Saturday's 7-2 beatdown of the Oilers.
Analysis: Mark Stone now has a modest three-game point streak on the go and has quietly recorded 17 of his 33 total points in the last 19 games. If he can keep up the production on a Sens team that sits nine points out of a playoff spot, he could be a very sneaky depth addition to those in deeper formats making a push to win their pool. His plus-7 rating is also third best on the Sens, so he isn't much of a liability there if plus/minus is a concern.

Sens' Stone Nets Goal In Loss

News: Mark Stone picked up his 13th goal of the season in Thursday's loss to the Penguins.
Analysis: Mark Stone has been rolling along nicely since early January, tallying a point in all but four of his last 14 games. The 22-year-old holds his most value in dynasty formats, but he's been doing just fine of late in season-long formats, too. Stone is probably worth owning everywhere except shallow leagues.

Sens' Stone Gets GWG, Assists On Another Score

News: Mark Stone netted the game-winning goal and chipped in an assist in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Coyotes.
Analysis: Mark Stone's first career game-winner boosted his season goal total to 12 and point total to 28 over 46 games. By doing most of his damage at even strength, Stone has been able to uphold a plus-10 rating, which has already enabled him to deliver a decent amount of value in mid-sized fantasy leagues in his first full NHL season.

Sens' Stone Now Has Seven-Game Point Streak

News: Mark Stone tallied an assist Wednesday against the Leafs to bring his point streak to seven games.
Analysis: Mark Stone eliminated the suspense by finding Mike Hoffman for the game's first goal two minutes into the first period. The 22-year-old has just one multi-point game during that stretch (his only of the season), but fantasy owners won't complain about the consistent production. Stone has the look of a future 70-point scorer, and while he won't realize that potential this season, his ownership rates should be on the rise nonetheless.

Sens' Stone On Five-Game Point Streak

News: Mark Stone stretched his current point streak to five games and six points, including four assists, after notching a goal in Saturday's loss to the Hurricanes.
Analysis: This guy is quietly moving up the ranks of rookie scorers and his future is extremely bright. He plays in all situations and his possession numbers are near the top of his team. Keeper leaguers should target him.

Sens' Stone Assists Twice In Losing Effort

News: Mark Stone dished out two helpers -- one of them on the power play -- in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to Dallas.
Analysis: He helped the Sens to an early 3-1 lead they proved unable to hold. Mark Stone's been a steady producer recently, as he's averaging a point per game over his last five, though it hasn't exactly been an explosive run. Tuesday represents his very first multi-point effort of the season.
