Sens' Stone: Point In Three Straight

News: Mark Stone notched a goal in Monday's shootout loss to the Sabres.
Analysis: It's the third straight game with a point for Mark Stone, who has returned to a top-line role with Bobby Ryan and Clarke MacArthur after spending some time in the team's bottom six recently. The 22-year-old is also occupying a prominent spot on the Sens' top power-play unit, where he saw 4:41 of ice time Monday.

Sens' Stone (Undisclosed) Expected To Play Sunday

News: Mark Stone (undisclosed) is expected to play Sunday against the Canucks.
Analysis: Mark Stone didn't play Saturday after being struck by a shot in Thursday's game against the Islanders. He is expected to take the spot of Milan Michalek (upper body) in the lineup.

Sens Rule Stone Out Of Saturday's Game

News: Mark Stone (undisclosed) will miss Saturday's game against the Penguins, Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone was struck hard by a shot in Thursday's game against the Islanders and is apparently still experiencing some residual soreness. The winger will likely be replaced in the lineup by Zack Smith or Colin Greening, both of whom were healthy scratches Thursday.

Sens' Stone: Three-Game Point Streak

News: Mark Stone potted his third goal of the season in Saturday's loss to the Bruins.
Analysis: With the goal, Mark Stone extended his point streak to three games. The minor breakout could make Stone a useful roster addition in deeper leagues, as he's made up for his lack of even-strength ice time (13:53 per game on the season) by seeing ample duty on the power-play (2:15 per game).

Sens' Stone Notches Assist

News: Mark Stone recorded a power-play assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: After serving as a healthy scratch Sunday against the Blackhawks, Mark Stone may have helped his cause in solidifying himself as a regular by getting back in the scoring column. Stone hasn't been able to take advantage of the opportunities he's received in the Senators' top-six forwards this season and will probably have to prove himself in a third or fourth-line role before he gets bumped back up again.

Sens' Stone Gets On Scoreboard

News: Mark Stone scored one of two third-period goals for the Senators in their shootout victory over the Lightning on Saturday.
Analysis: Mark Stone found an opening in the slot to drive a shot past Ben Bishop for the go-ahead score. The 22-year-old remains confined to a third-line role for now, but he'd certainly warrant more universal fantasy interest if an injury allows him to move up the depth chart.

Sens Reassign Stone

News: The Senators reassigned Mark Stone to AHL Binghamton on Monday.
Analysis: Now that the Sens' season is officially over, Mark Stone will join Binghamton as they get set to start the AHL playoffs. He finished the season with four goals and four assists in 19 NHL games, and will look to take on an expanded role with the team in 2014-15.

Ottawa's Stone Producing

News: Mark Stone notched two assists in Friday's 5-3 win over Ottawa, giving him a three-game points streak with four points over those last three games.
Analysis: Mark Stone will see ice time down the stretch as the Senators are dealing with injuries to the likes of Bobby Ryan (sports hernia). Stone has six points in 10 games with the big club this season and is well worth a look in deep leagues in the season's final two weeks.

Two Points For Sens' Stone Since Call-Up

News: Mark Stone tallied a goal in Tuesday's loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: Mark Stone has filled in seamlessly for the injured Bobby Ryan (lower body) the last two games, notching a point in each contest. His second-period marker staked the Senators to a 1-0 lead, but the Panthers ultimately tied the game up later in the frame.

Sens' Stone Producing In AHL, Not NHL

News: Mark Stone has a goal and an assist in seven games with the Senators this season.
Analysis: Mark Stone hasn't seen any game action since Jan. 18, as he has spent the majority of this season with AHL Binghamton. The winger has 15 goals and 23 assists in just 35 games with Binghamton, but he doesn't hold much value for fantasy owners at this stage of his career.

Sens Demote Stone

News: The Senators have assigned Mark Stone to AHL Binghamton, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone has missed the Senators' last eight games due to an undisclosed injury, but it sounds like he's probably ready to suit up again, considering that coach Paul MacLean referred to Stone on Thursday as "a young player who needs to play. We suspect he will get another (NHL) opportunity."

Sens' Stone Skates

News: Mark Stone skated on his own Monday morning, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: Since the nature of Mark Stone's injury is still unknown, it's unclear how big of a step skating is, but it's definitely a sign that he's improving. He's not ready to return to practice yet, so a return for Tuesday's matchup with the Blue Jackets is probably out of the question.

Sens' Stone Suffers Injury In Practice

News: Mark Stone left practice Monday with an undisclosed injury and will not travel with the team for Tuesday's game against the Capitals, Ian Mendes of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone suffered the injury when he crashed into the boards and appeared to be in some pain. Specifics of the ailment were not disclosed, but it will at least keep him out of Tuesday's game.

News: Mark Stone scored his first NHL goal Saturday in a shootout win over Montreal.
Analysis: The big winger is smart and has good offensive skills. He needs to continue to develop in the AHL, but he's someone to watch from afar.

News: Mark Stone was recalled from AHL Binghamton by the Senators on Tuesday on an emergency basis.

Sens' Stone Suffers Shoulder Injury

News: Mark Stone suffered an apparent shoulder injury Saturday night against AHL Syracuse, the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone was expected to be a midseason call-up candidate for the Senators, but this injury certainly could slow down his effectiveness and hurt his chances, depending on how serious it is.

Senators Send Stone To AHL Binghamton

News: The Senators assigned Mark Stone to AHL Binghamton on Monday, TSN 1200 Ottawa's Ian Mendes reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone made a run at a roster spot during training camp, but he was unlikely to play a major role with the Senators, so the team decided to send him down to see regular playing time. GM Bryan Murray would like Stone to play 25-30 games in the AHL, so don't expect him to be an option for the Senators until around midseason.

Sens' Stone Eager To Impress

News: Mark Stone is ready to play Thursday against the Canadiens.
Analysis: Mark Stone is looking to impress in the Senators' final two preseason games as he is finally fully recovered from a high ankle sprain he suffered during last year's playoffs. Stone has one assists in two preseason games thus far, and is looking to secure a spot on the roster as a depth forward for 2013-14.

Senators' Stone Expects To Be Ready For Camp

News: Mark Stone (ankle) has started to feel better over the last month, and he expects to be ready for the start of training camp, the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: The 21-year-old winger suffered a high ankle sprain in May. He scored 38 points (15 goals) in 54 games with AHL Binghamton last season, and failed to get on the score sheet in four appearances with the Senators. He will head into training camp with the chance to compete for a roster spot.

Sens' Stone (Ankle) Still Unable To Skate

News: Mark Stone (ankle) remains unable to skate, Sportsnet's Ian Mendes reports.
Analysis: Mark Stone acquired the high-ankle sprain during the playoffs and only made one appearance on the ice for the Senators during their run to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Training camp is still a long way away for the Senators, so Stone figures to be healthy by the time the calendar turns to September.

Sens' Stone Out Friday With Injury

News: Mark Stone is out of the lineup for Friday's Game 5 with an undisclosed injury, TSN Ottawa reports.
Analysis: It was initially thought that coach Paul MacLean was simply shaking up the lineup for the sake of offensive upside with his decision to bring back Cory Conacher while sending Mark Stone to the press box. However, it now looks like Stone's injury may have provided at least some impetus to that decision. There's no word yet on the nature of the injury or its severity.

Sens' Stone Expected To Play Wednesday

News: Mark Stone is expected to be in the lineup for Wednesday's Game 4.
Analysis: Mark Stone would take Cory Conacher's place alongside Jason Spezza and Milan Michalek on the Sens' top line, as head coach Paul MacLean indicated the need for a big body to battle in front of the net. Stone recorded a line of 15/23/38 in 54 games with AHL Binghamton this season, but failed to scratch the scoresheet in four NHL contests.
