Kings' Weal Sent To Minors

News: The Kings sent Jordan Weal to AHL Manchester on Sunday, Lisa Dillman of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: Jordan Weal spent all of last season in the AHL where he played in 76 games, scored 23 goals, and added 47 assists with a plus-28 rating. Los Angeles is already loaded at center so it was unlikely Weal would make the team during the preseason. If he continues to produce like he did last season in the AHL, Weal could get called up to the Kings in the near future.

Kings' Prospect Weal Tearing Up WHL Again

News: Jordan Weal is enjoying another fine season in the WHL, ranking second with 81 points including a league-high 51 assists.
Analysis: Jordan Weal finished fifth in the WHL last season with 96 points and is on pace to shatter that mark this season. The only question on Weal is whether or not his lack of size (5-8, 158 pounds) will catch up with him as he moves up the pro ranks.
