Panthers' McFarland Not Ready Yet

News: John McFarland (shoulder) is not ready for development camp, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: It's been nearly four months sine John McFarland underwent surgery on his shoulder, and he's still not ready for action. The Panthers' second round pick in 2010 likely wants to be 100 percent before returning, but he should be fine to begin the OHL (Junior League) season.

Panthers' McFarland Out After Shoulder Surgery

News: John McFarland underwent shoulder surgery and will be out for about the next four months, according to Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel.
Analysis: John McFarland has the talent, but has to shake off the injuries and inconsistent play that have dogged him since being drafted by the Panthers in the second round of the 2010 NHL draft. Until then, McFarland 's fantasy value is limited.
