News: The Bruins have assigned Matt Fraser to AHL Providence.
Analysis: Matt Fraser, who has two goals in 14 games for the Bruins, returns to Providence, where he has tallied 16 goals and 21 points in 23 AHL contests to date. Fraser is a candidate for another recall when injuries hit the big club up front again.

Fraser Fills In Up Front For Bruins

News: Matt Fraser's teammate Jarome Iginla has been cleared to play Tuesday against the Flames, reports CSN New England.
Analysis: Matt Fraser skated on a line with Milan Lucic and David Krejci during practice Monday, but he's now in line to slide back down to the third or fourth line Tuesday. Fraser has yet to record a point in four games with the Bruins thus far, but Shawn Thornton's suspension, coupled a rash of injuries up front, has created a scenario in which Fraser should stick with the big club for the foreseeable future.
